There was a time when I was known for giving good advice and for being an good ear, and a shoulder to cry on for all. I can't do that at the moment. It takes an emotionally centered, calm, and clear minded individual to pull that off regularly. These are elements that I am trying to rebuild. I am trying to discover my own new normal and have been since my wife died leaving my family with a gaping hole that cannot be filled. I have been handling things as best as I can ... sometimes with less than stellar results. 

All of my emotional energy must be focused on myself, and on my kids. I have nothing to give those that ask for my ear, certainly nothing to give that would help. I am searching for peace, not the issues dropped at my doorstep for me to solve. I have no kind words for others to help them with life. 

I am shutting of status updates and PM's until further notice. This is not personal, but sometimes you have to draw that line and focus on yourself. I'll still be posting and what not. This is a fine distraction and community with great people. I just can't be that ear anymore.
