I am happy you decided to return DQ.
Personally, the last month or so has allowed me some unique perspective - to be to look back and be thankful that I came back for the MCM since my wife actually had an opportunity to participate.
Here is to good times ahead sir!

RFC is a think ooBrony. I'm all about meaningful discussions, which is why I sometimes toss out questions framed in a more 'philosophical' manner? I agree that the internet and most asynchronous discussions tend to invite opinion dropping, but I would happily engage you in a topic if I saw you post.

What dialog are the drawing off of to determine that Aladdin takes place in any place other than near the Jordan River? I always thought it should be modern day Jordan, Palestine, or Israel ... but likely Jordan. They said it's explicitly stated, so I'm racking my brain trying to remember.

Also that movie better be playing on EqTV!

I'll wait until Christmas Eve before I unleash the smarmy sentiment though.

Fro he wine at you?
I have a lot to say about this specific Christmas season.

My main issue is that if I was Rainbow Dash and my friends staged a group intervention in a formal setting over a bad judgement call than ... I would be furious. That isn't how Friendship works ... that was an ethics committee!

I agree with this so much it hurts. I have nothing to add ... for once.

I think I'm going to have Pizza for dinner tonight!

It's been a long time since I actually yelled at Rarity from my credit couch. All three of them needed a time out.
I completely agree with everything you said here. The little touches and the ending are what I liked the best here. Even Scootaloo saying 'practically' after mentioning they are all sisters was a sweet and sad little touch.

I agree that it slightly improved the film. I still believe that it gave us the best Batman/Bruce Wayne, and for that I am infinitely happy with. Superman/Clark was a mixed bag for me, but the added scenes and dialog did help a little.
Lex though. Lex was just bad and I know fleshing out his motives a little better helped the plot ... but you want to talk about Snyder missing the mark ...

I would honestly just recommend people take a few psychology courses, or read up various theories of psychology. Even though some would suggest that there is a culture hegemony here, my experience is that we tend to be so diverse that one source of explanation will never be credible.
I would never ask my overseas friends about their country with the assumption that they are an authority of all regional and cultural aspects within their country, though they may be aware of them. I can learn about people better from learning about behavior in general due to the universality of much of it.

Also, what he won't mention is that he soon was trained for projection and left us all behind in concession.
Wouldn't you? Working concession sucked!

So moments like these really do occur outside of films and literature. Some lovely prose, by the way.
I prodded the missus to log in and read this. My wife will likely comment on a few things specific to that very thing ... but in truth this incident didn't really register in my mind as something important until much later. What helped cement it so vividly was Jess purposely smearing the freshly redone brows of her friend.
The cup issue ... there have been plenty of similar accidents that befell the 16-20 year old employees of the theater ... and this was simply one of many.

It was a small town at the time so big films like this were the only busy moments. It was a new theater. Luckily we only sold soda, popcorn, and candy. This was the pre-stadium seating days when stuff was simple still.
Fun job though.

Did you get to personally meet the always charming Jenn Blake - otherwise known as "Discount Peter New" or the "Patron Saint of Lesbians"?

I also ended up with one of those mugs... but I don't even drink coffee. XD
That's hard core!

YOU NEED TO SING MORE ON THE MCM STUFF.
Also, I so can't wait to see the BronyCon upload of the VA panel. I have to hear this fanfic.

I also have to say ... the whole concept of 'consensus good' is ridiculous tripe. Grade A Dollar General philosophy right there. A banana is objectively healthy, even though people are allergic. Certain artistic design elements trigger specific and measurable activity in a brain, so there is already a baseline to measure objectivity, even though some may have personality disorders that effect it.
This argument feels like a simple attempt to justify taste preferences when a majority says something sucks. That is an unhealthy way of looking at it. You don't need to defend taste preferences to other people. :/
Everything is measurable:)

There is a way art can be objectively studied, but it requires a PhD in Neuropsychology and MD in Psychiatry, and advanced study in art theory.

I look forward to seeing you stretch out and post a bit more ooBrony.

I am far from an expert, but this appears to be a perversion of the APA's research and stance on education psychology.

And this, is music to my ears. You've been though enough trials and tribulations to be beset a complete lifetime, so your endurance and attitude is profound inspiration ... regardless of your intent. That last line ... about wearing our history as a reminder was poetic. As I watch family and friends undergo duress while I am awash in a sense of helplessness... you remind me of why we should find strength ... and the resolve to tackle each day with hope.
Good show ma'am!

emotional outbursts and depression

While I have tried my effort best to keep my composure online, I can honestly tell you that in person it isn't always easy. More to that, I am not a stranger to feeling overwhelmed with insecurity, even though the cause is probably different ... it can be massively disconcerting. I can understand how crippling it can feel, and how it tends to feed into even more feelings of lower worth. When you feel an outburst coming, try and focus on the the things you succeed at, that you like about yourself ... and no that is not an exercise in vanity. And yes Mesme, there are noticeable traits you possess that you should feel proud of, and you should be encouraged by them.
