    Rarity has a mid-Atlantic accent and speaks like a amalgamation of Audrey Hepburn and Vivian Liegh (which was intentional). Her parents have an accent that is very Great Lakes region, and we know that she grew up mostly in Ponyville. So, no she isn’t French. However she has adopted a sophisticated mannerism because of her dreams and ideals. I like to thing her grandmother was like that and that’s where Rarity gets it from.

    Member Titles

    I had to remove the old member titles from the post mini-profile as they can no longer be edited, even in out Admin Control Panel. That said there is a field that users can access that will add a member title to the bottom of their profile card that shows of with every post. Old look New look Just wanted to point this out in advance.

    I'm about done with my testing. Woke should not longer be replaced. Having some words only impacted in Debate will be a later project.

    The Pear Butter reaction is named appropriate for the character, the reaction she represents, and the scene the reaction is taking from. It was on hiatus for a bit, It is back now. It is wholesome and adorable. That's what I love about that reaction. .

    I’ll allow it. It takes things right to the limit, so I’d still be cautious of that level of innuendo. Amusingly, that’s the reason I have a hard time using the term Pegasister.

    Well, this is a curious question. So Jess, my first wife, saw the show as cute but wasn’t a fan. We were married long before the show was out. However, she was something of a rarity amount one fandom in particular. When we started dating in college I learned from her about this fandom that is focused in anthropomorphic animals. Jess was a furry and actually would take me to conventions. So I did marry someone with a fandom that was not what you would typically find. Cindy, was different in that the fandom was already mature by the time we got together. She likes cute cartoons but never saw FIM. She knew about Bronies and such, but she just never got around to checking it out. I was her excuse for doing so. She loves it now. She has a Ponysona. She has a best pony. Has watched the entire show once and several specific episodes 2-3 times. She loves fan art. So yeah she technically calls her self a Brony, but is more low key / casual. She loves tangentially participating with the forum, and has met one of my friends here. At some point she will likely meet others. People really need their own hobbies though. Cindy kinda gets this and because of that she has been careful not to join here. She knows that this is my thing, and she likes that it’s one of my things that predate her and I keep going. So let’s tie this all together. I would 100% have married a Brony. That said, while I love sharing my interests with my spouse, and love when she shares hers with me, there is something nice about having something that is yours.

No I didn’t totally forget to post this! You forget to post this! What a mean thing to say to someone!

    Same, but a story about him for class. That was in 1985 and … third grade I think. I actually thought he was already deceased, not sure why. Probably because I haven’t heard a reference to him in ages … the 90’s in an Adam Sandler comedy album. I can name only three footballers I’m aware of by name and he is one of them. I think that right there is the most American thing I’ve said today.

    High School 1 was … I actually can’t recall. I think it was orange and a bear. I was barely there. High School 2 was green / white and bulldogs. University 1 was blue / white and a lion University 2 was gold / black and a knight College was … blue and white and a gladiator

    So I grabbed the choices and tossed them above. Three for my fam and three from here. Here will be the general style inspirations. Wife’s Choice - Daring Do My pick - Rarity as Shadow Spade Kid’s Pick - Cozy Glow (this but adult I guess) Forum Pick - Pinkie and Treehugger (also replacing Staff Pick cause they are staff too) happy @Troblems There really isn’t a lot of options for the hippie, but that should work. There are pros and cons to each of these. Treehugger and Cozy would be the easiest and cheapest to do. Cozy would be easily the most humiliating (by a lot), but that’s the idea behind that I guess. Daring Do would probably be the most fun, but also more of a challenge to put together. Pinkie has more con centric appeal, but also tricky. Rarity would be amusing, and fits me, but costly and challenging. Well. Decision is in your hooves now. Running for a week.

    I’ve been working on the filters and testing them with the intention to have it only used in Debate Pit. Emoticons, profanity, slurs (that will be forum wide), and when I see a word becomes overused I’ll replace it with something goofy. Don’t worry, it won’t impact the other places for long, things should go back to normal in a day.

    As promised, if we hit our goal or 2000 bits, I would attend BabsCon dressed as a female pony character. We probably won't hit the $2500 goal, but that would have required me to film a 'music video' of that character singing a song, and entering the Cosplay parade/contest at Babs. Since i did a dumb at BronyCon though, I will do the contest/parade as the character you select anyway. So the characters picked by myself, my wife, my son, the events team, are Rarity as Shadow Spade - Me Daring Do - Wife Cozy Glow - My soon to be disowned son who pressured me into letting him toss in an idea because my daughter started this thing and he wanted a turn at embarrassing me! Tempest Shadow - Events And you now get to nominate a character. No Trixie .... it's been done. It is worth noting that there is an opportunity for a MLPF Staff Panel. Should our Panel be approved the cosplay will be during the day of our panel. @Princess Silky has committed to cosplay as Pinkie Pie for a "Too Many Pinkies" moment at the con, so this is an opportunity to have another Pinkie for that convention moment. So what character would you pick? Nominate away and I'll add the best suggestion.

    Yeah, cry about it to the philistines that can’t elucidate, and instead practice mass media regurgitation in our one venue of political and spiritual discourse. Eventually it will just be in Debate Pit where it’s banned and only one reaction will be available. Of course, if you need a colloquial expression, “got up” is the most used expression for being an in newly conscious and awakened state. I wonder if we got lax since Feld0, when we had a strict requirement on content actually being well crafted in general. See, I used an adverb! Adverbs are a lazy way of conveying a message! I’m not kidding either. Things were rather, specific, with how one had to compose. Not to the point of restrictions on split infinitives and adverbs, but strict.
