    So the last how the movie ends has been revealed!!! basically here is the jist of it: The mane six go on an epic adventure in what not to stop them. While Starlight was stuck at the castle never to be seen in the movie till the end. But it turns out the magic of friendship isn't strong enough to stop there evil plan. The only pony powerful to stop them is Starlight, she finds a random spell in the castle and defeats them. Then starlight is the hero. The end.

    Party of one I really liked. I'm sure they will make this one different, I doubt they would use the exact same plot line twice.

    Season 7 so far, in my opinion, has had nothing game changing for the series. Nothing that impacts the whole series. This may be because of the movie putting the series on hold. However, it has been a very good season in my opinion. Great episodes, only a few weak.

    I think the other generations did a complete reboot due to the fact the previous generations weren't all the popular. Going to the past would allow for new places, characters, history. Just not a different universe.

    Yes, it would obviously take place when he was younger. He doesn't have to be the MAIN character. There are 6 main characters in friendship is magic, no reason that can't be the same here.

    I don't see any reason they would have to continue the same toyline.

    :/ what It's still a completely different generation with different characters and different timeline. It's common for new generations in shows to take place in the same universe but in a different timeline.

    The next generation isn't REQUIRED to take place in a different universe. I think you're misunderstanding my idea. My suggestion is this: Not that we keep the ponies in this generation. But that the next generation should take place before Equestria is developed. With Starswhirl and his friends being the main characters.

    You can still change generations and remain in the same universes. What's the point?: We need to change generations soon, this generation has about played its course with the characters. Their story archs are about over, they are developed. Story of this generation is about over. Whether people like it or not, we have to change generations eventually.

    Generation: "all of the people born and living at about the same time, regarded collectively." It will be a different generation with different characters and in a different time period, just within the same universe.

    There is really still so much to explore in this universe. It would be a shame to throw all that potential to waste. I'm sure there could be plenty of starswhirl stories we haven't even heard of. Including episodes with his friends and the epic legends of starswhirl. Exploring the origins of equestria and how canterlot, the tree of harmony and the entire government came too be. All the different colonies and groups who seek to control equestria. The exploration of powerful magic.

    Probably should have worded the title better. I meant gen 5 should take place in past.

    One thing I have noticed about TV shows is when it tries to take on the future it always falls flat. However, shows based in the past typically are far more interesting. I think possibly starswhirl and friends could be interesting. Possibly celestia and lunas childhood. Thoughts?

    Long long ago, twilight tried casting a spell to make a quesadilla, but at the same time, she was also wanting a friend. What she created was living.... partially. This is also why she is afraid of quesadillas and why she didn't make friends till she moved to ponyville

    There is no way to calculate rainbow dashes birthday. The closest we can get too doing that is counting the candles on rainbow dash's birthivesrery cake. Which is a stretch of you ask me. Other than that, the show doesn't mention there age.
