This is the point I was trying to get at. Like I don't dislike starlight at all, a bunch of people assuming that I dislike starlight in this thread :/

I agree with that, but we got a lot more secondary characters than starlight.

Now I know everyone's gonna groan over this topic, but just for the record here. I AM a starlight fan okay. I originally wasn't really on board of the idea that Starlight was being shoved down peoples throats. But I can really see it now after mirror magic. Don't get me wrong she was fine there but she really has nothing to do with equestria girls. Why did they bring her in to become the hero? Also she has had like 3 season openers and 2 season finales dedicated to her. like what? She has like four episodes for herself this season. Don't get me wrong, I like Starlight but at times it seems they really are trying to force people to like her by giving more episodes of her. Okay, now you are all free to complain about this thread in the comments.

So I know the chances of this happening are like 0 but might as well put it out there. No slice of life episodes. Just tell a continuing story with each episode. Tell one epic story through 26 episodes that continues one episode after the next. The mane six could go on some kind of adventure to find something or save something or the other. That way the mane six wouldn't have to keep learning the same lessons every signal episode.

I liked the specials but I have to agree with the pointless aspect of it. They said the episodes would take place after LOE. Which made it seem like it was going to be a serialized story that continued with each episode. The movies have always told a big story, these three part specials were just like slice of life episodes. One of the biggest things that has separated equestria girls from the Friendship is Magic series is that it tries to tell an epic story. Not this slice of life stuff. The three episodes should have been a three parter that continued from the Legend of Everfree story. Leaking magic, and their new found powers. The three episodes SHOULD have in my opinion, been three connected episodes that set the stage for a big connected series for equestria girls. If we get a Equestria Girls spin-off it needs to have a serialized story. One episode continues after the last. With a big overarching story telling one epic story. They shouldn't have done slice of life episodes in my opinion.

Twilight's story arch. That's really what made the show have a sense of moving forward towards one direction. Like the episodes were all leading up to Twilight becoming a princess. We don't got that anymore, and the show has no overarching story anymore.

So i've been thinking sense the specials are kinda testing the waters for a possible spin off. What would I like to see in a Friendship is Magic spin off? So heres my idea: Since Equestria Girls movies have always stuck to an epic overarching story with a villain rather than a slice of life story. Why not stick to that in a spin off series? Equestria girls could differentiate from the main series by sticking to telling a big overarching story throughout the entire show. Each episode continues after the next. Rather than following Friendship is Magic's slice of life model. I get the sense they were playing with this idea in the specials, however, you can't really have a big epic story arch over only 3 episodes like you could with a 26 episode season. This would make the series similar to an anime while sticking with the Equestria girls series model.

There is only one way....... Magical flying space bannanas capable of overthrowing all forms of government in equestria and there armies. These type of bannanas that are able to overthrow governments are only grown outside of equestria. Which is obviously where the changlings found them after being blasted off in season 2.

Yea but the focus would have to be on other characters. I mean can they really go THAT many episodes with the mane cast?

I say it can go to 9 or 10 then it would be good to wrap up. I wouldn't think they would end the show 1 season after they release the movie :/ I mean they just put a ton of money into the brand, why would then end it right after that

I'm gonna say three episodes weren't that good. One being bad. Worst episode : hard to say anything Okay episodes: Honest Apple, and The fluttershy one where she builds sanctuary Everyone else is good.
