slice of life Back To Ponyville

Today was the day. The day that I return to Ponyville. To be honest with everypony, I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't nervous. Why you ask? Well, I haven't been to Ponyville ever since I was a young colt and a rather adventurous one at that. This was long overdue and I need to get this out of the way. My parents have been exchanging messages ever since I decided to leave Ponyville for the mountains. They wanted me to return there and try to make friends or at the very least, try to be a little more social. Considering my other outburst, I guess it was appropriate. Maybe I was just feeding myself this heavy feeling of mine but could you blame me? I have no idea what I'll do once I get there, who to talk to, or what to do about taking the first real step of having a normal life. Don't get me wrong, everypony. There wasn't a problem with my life now but...I realized how lonely my life was without anypony to share it with. Regardless of how nervous I feel now, I've got to at least make a conscious effort to try to change. With how dangerous my line of work is, I wouldn't want something to happen to me and possibly be alone at the end. That kind of thing scares me. It really does but for now it's time I stallion up and make something of myself with the ponies that are in my hometown. Well...at least I will when the sun comes up. It was in the middle of the night right now and there wouldn't be nopony out so late even though I pretty much like the nightlife. After all, when I was mostly alone, I used to find solace in the one thing that always greeted me no matter how tough times where. The moon. Yes, my first real friend was the moon. I know what you're thinking. The moon can't talk to me, listen to me, nor acknowledge me in any way but...I can't explain it. I felt attached to it. Maybe it was because I was young and loneliness hit me harder when I was young. Enough about my rambling though, it's time I leave the safety of the cave I had been in for so long. This was a great place for me. It was isolated, peaceful, quiet. Here I was the king of my own castle. Not anymore. I'm going to move back into Ponyville into my parent's house. They sent me the key and now it's time for me to move on. I promised myself I won't return here unless I really needed to get away. Can't keep running anymore and I won't. I'm no coward. I can do it if I put my mind to it, just you wait and see. With every one of my belongings packed on my back and saddle bag, I took one last look inside the cave. It was almost soul crushing to say the least. I had so many good memories of this place and for some ponies, this wouldn't be a way to live but I made it work through effort. This will always be my home, my port in the storm, my sanctuary. I looked forward again over the Everfree Forest then I close my eyes and let go of the breath I had been holding. Now starts the rest of my life. I won't waste this chance that I gave myself. I took a step forward then another and another until I went into a full blown sprint and hopped off of the mountain face and plummeted toward the forest. Feeling the wind breeze through my mane felt good...really good. A small smile curved its way on my face then went further into a smirk. As soon as I was about to reach the tree line of the forest, I used my magic to create a powerful updraft of wind under me and gently floated to the ground. I didn't waste anytime, however, the Everfree Forest was dangerous at night. Even I knew that but that hint of danger to me is what made it fun. Ponies may say that I'm a madpony for thinking this but not all of us are the same. Some of us like adventure, some of us like to do extraordinary feats that others may never attempt. While I did this only for the sole purpose of excitement, I also do what I do because I know what I do helps Equestria in some small way. Plus, if anything happens, you'd be able to know to survive in case something did happen. Ponies that live in Equestria know that something may happen in almost every day of the week. It may be peaceful here but it certainly can get chaotic and that's the truth. There's never boring, that's for sure. At this point I take off in a full blown sprint toward Ponyville, weaving in and out of trees, jumping over low branches. One would think that this large pack would slow me down but I've trained my body to handle things that are twice my size even though I'll never be a strong as an Earth Pony but I can honestly say that I can at least hold my own if needed to be. It didn't take me long to arrive in Ponyville. I can honestly say that everything changed since I last been here. Standing here at the edge of the forest, I gazed at Ponyville being bathed in the light of the moon. It really had changed...everything looks so much more colorful and lively even here in the serenity of the moon. Maybe I could get used to this? I took my first step toward the town and started walking slowly down the dirt path that I eventually got to. As I was walking, I went past a place called Sweet Apple Acres. I remember this place. It's been here since before I moved away. I looked at the acres of apple trees within its gates but I dared not go in uninvited. Looking here suited me just fine but boy did those apples look tasty. Maybe I'll buy some in the market when things are open in the morning. I continued my walk to head into the heart of Ponyville. Things seemed pretty normal so far. The library was still there, there was Sugarcube Corner that was halfway down the road. The abundance of houses and there seem to be a lot more than I was used to and finally Town Hall where Mayor Mare lived. At least I think she was still in office because the last I remember she ran unopposed for the longest time. I'm not sure if ponies couldn't shoulder the responsibility of running a whole town or they simply didn't want to though I wouldn't blame them. Mayor Mare seemed to be running things as smoothly as ever besides no need to change that at all since she did a great job of it. I chuckled to myself as I was thinking that and finally went down to town square to sit down on a bench right in front of a fountain. It was a lot to take in but Ponyville seemed to be the same as it always been. Although, I was telling myself that back then I had no idea how chaotic things would become at a later date and misunderestimated just how unhinged this town could become. Of course, that was the charm of Ponyville after all. It was perfect for me. I lean back against the bench and looked up at the sky, scanning the stars. Luna really did make the night sky look beautiful and if I could, I'd certainly share my gratitude with her. I gotten up from the bench after 30 minutes and put the pack back on before walking to my house which was only a few houses away from Sugarcube Corner. I found it pretty easily because it was the only one that didn't look lived in for a while and it hasn't. I wonder if the ponies even knew about my parents or their only son. No use in thinking about it now, I finished for the keys to the house in my saddle bag and levitated toward the door and unlocked it before pushing the door softly open and heading inside. I looked inside the house with the moonlight being my only source. It looked pretty dusty in here but nothing that a little cleaning couldn't fixed. It felt good to be home after so long. I kicked the door closed behind me and lit up the place using my magic until I could find a candle to light. I put my stuff away after checking out the rest of the house. It seems that I needed a lot of dusting...my mother would faint if she saw how dusty it was in here. Better get to it since I was going to be awake for a while. From that night till the morning, I was cleaning before finally crashing on my bed in my room. I stayed awake a little longer and saw the sun rise. I smiled softly as I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep. Home. Sweet. Home. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the second story that I made following the first one. I'll continue to write about his adventures here besides I feel like I want to make my mark with this fandom to let people know that I too was a part of this. Happy Reading!
  3. Why is it the thing you're trying to find always in the most obvious spot in the world yet it's the last place you look? Gotta stop doing that so often.

  4. @@Windbreaker,@@Miss Reaper, Spike had to admit as he was sitting there, he realized just how even more strange this world was. It didn't help that there was no way he could send a letter back to Equestria. He was kinda scared to. Considering he'd probably be scolded by Twilight because he was on the field of battle where he lost control. Everytime he tried to think about it, the only feeling that he was met with was anger and rage. Not exactly in that order. It also didn't help he had a nightmare prior to waking up when he passed out from exhaustion and hunger. Speaking of which, he was still very hungry but he didn't really make that noticeable besides there was still the problem of finding out how he and Fluttershy got here or a way that they could get back. He couldn't lie to himself that this was going way over his head. Twilight would have a better idea of it better than he would but he had to stay strong for Fluttershy and attempt to try to solve this mystery by himself. After all, he was Twilight's number one assistant! With that resolve set, he heard the door open. Most likely due to Alex coming back. Seeing that he came in with yet another girl but the question that Alex had asked if she seemed familiar. Spike tried to think but nothing came to mind yet. Considering how she was walking and definitely the way she acted, she wasn't from around here. He wasn't talking about this world but she was definitely Equestrian. Her look said it all. Spike just slowly shook his head. "I'm sorry. She doesn't look familiar to me. I haven't met her before but that doesn't mean anything right now. Still, it's nice to meet you. I'm Spike the Dragon, it's nice to meet you." he looked at her. She and Alex could probably see deep green reptilian eyes. It almost seemed as if you could get lost in them considering how big they were.
  5. It's raining again. I can see it outside the cave I'm currently residing in for tonight. With nothing else I can do until the storm dies down, I will sit here and silently watch it. Walking up to the cave door, I sit myself down near the entrance and watches the rain with a blank expression on my face. I watch it fall to the earth making puddles right in front of me. Watching the water inching it's way forward toward my form. Yet I make no motion to move. Even as I'm sitting here watching it come down, I can hear droplets falling from the cave roof onto the floor. It was my only company, the only sound I could hear other than my own thoughts and the rain pouring gently outside. I wondered, as I was sitting there, I wondered how were my parents getting along. Knowing that they were like myself, always traveling and learning about new things in Equestria. They must've been having a blast, they were both scholars, after all. Hmm. I was broken from my thoughts when I felt water touch the tip of my hoof. Looking down to see a small puddle forming. Even so, I made no notion to move. I stared down at the water, at my own reflection. My expression. It looked as if it was void of everything. No life, no warmth, nothing. In my mind, all I could ask was why? Why did I look so gloomy? So down, so defeated. In the back of my mind, I knew the answer but time and time again I dismissed it being nothing more than something that was only in my head. Yet when I looked into my own eyes, it was screaming at me. Screaming for help. Before I knew it, I clenched my teeth in disgust but only slightly. I couldn't get angry. My eyes were telling a story that I myself could not admit to nor did I want to. This heavy feeling wasn't alien, it was all too familiar. Something I wanted to let go but couldn't and had been sticking to me ever since. It was right then I wondered what was the fulfillment to a life like mine? I was always alone, nopony to share my experiences with, nopony I could lean on in my time of need. I suppose its my own fault that I feel this way and did nothing to change it. I look up from that puddle and watch the rain silently again. Soon enough, the sound drowned itself out. I couldn't hear anything, not even the beat of my own heart. Putting my hoof over my chest, I can feel it beating, fluttering even. It was irregular. An erratic pattern. An alien pattern. I was not comfortable with this. I wanted to panic but my expression didn't change and soon put down my hoof to the ground. As I did so, I felt a chill go up my spine. The puddle gotten even bigger and it was quite chilly. Though I didn't dislike this feeling. It fit. Almost too perfectly. I did not move away but laid myself down in my spot. I can now feel the water racing toward the middle of my body. It was cold, made two front legs feel numb but I didn't move nor did I want to. I position myself to lay my head on my legs and watched the rain outside, half lidded. This rain, the dark clouds...it was exactly what I was feeling and something I pushed away for too long. I knew that I had to face this but didn't want to do so alone. Didn't have a choice because I withdrew myself from social interactions. Didn't make any friends and chose this life of solitude. I deserve everything from this and more until I make the first real step. I knew this but I was scared to, scared what others may think of me. Despite this, I take on dangerous expeditions, tread dangerous places, even though I may get seriously injured in the process. I wasn't brave. I was running away just like now. Just how far was I going to go before I got sick of it? This was indeed bearing unnecessary burden that I didn't have to go through and yet...I chose it because it was more convenient for me to just hide it and go on as if I didn't feel a thing. I was numbing myself just like this water is currently doing to my whole body. I felt stuck in one place and no matter how far I walked, how many steps I took, this path was leading nowhere and chasing something that I won't be able to grasp at all. Friendship. It's gotten so bad that the word alone filled me with an awful feeling that only could be described as discomfort. I can't say a word such as this and not feel the repercussions of my own actions and choices. When I had so many chances to break from the shackles I put on myself, I instead made them tighter. Now I've gotten so deep that I don't know if I can ever be free of it. I wish things could've been different. I wish I didn't have to deal with this. I wish I could go back to stop myself from ever feeling this way. I don't know what to do anymore. The rain had stopped minutes ago but I was still shaking, every muscle in my body was tense. The depression I felt soon turned to anger. No, much more than that. Rage. So much that I hit the water in front of me with a strong stomp of my hoof. I watch the water ripple my reflection. My eyes seething with angry, pain, rage, depression...I won't be accepted like this. I wouldn't accept me either. Who could? ...Who would? I had to calm down. This was not me, there was no way this could've been me. What was this? Just what was I doing? It finally donned on me in that moment. I was starting to let it out and I didn't care anymore. I screamed. I screamed as loud as I possibly could even if I knew nopony could hear me. I didn't care if I attracted a dragon, hydra, or some other unwanted predator. I didn't care. Didn't want to care. So there I stood screaming loudly to the outside. Crying and bawling my eyes out. My tears stung, tasted salty, my heart racing! For the first time in a long time, I let it out. It felt good. Even as I was panting and shaking like a leaf because of how cold I was. That strong, nasty feeling that was sitting in the pit of my stomach was gone. I eased up. Walked back to the fire that I had currently burning inside of a barrier that protected it from the wind. I sat there with an indifferent emotion on my face. Watching the fire dance in front of me. Maybe it's time I went back to Ponyville. I know I won't have anypony waiting for me there but anything was better than being alone all the time. Thinking it and dreading it at the same time. I was no good at meeting new ponies and there was surely a great number of them now. Well if worst comes to worst, I can still come here to mull things over for a little while. Yeah, like my own little port in the storm... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was just something I felt like writing. Based on an event that actually happened to me a long time ago. Wasn't as dramatic though. Consider it the story before my OC came back to Ponyville. Some parts I actually left out. It's not really that good but for me, it's enough. I think I conveyed my point as much as possible. So, happy reading!

The power to create ice at will but only if you were trapped inside a freezer. The power to make only your left arm go invisible. The power to be the best swimmer in the world but only if you weren't in water. The power to be afraid of everything ever made in the history of the universe. The power to only back in time by one second every two days. The power to become irresistible to all animals you come across. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I could keep going with this but if I did, I'd be here for a while. xD
  9. @@Miss Reaper,@@Windbreaker, Spike had gotten up from the couch that he was sleeping on and walked on over to Fluttershy, giving her a hug. He was glad to see her especially after his dream. He would have to make sure not to get angry besides he didn't know how much that growth affected him. He wasn't used to these feelings but he sure didn't want to get that way in front of Fluttershy knowing her fear of dragons. Although he was sure that Fluttershy wouldn't treat him any different but still it was something to think about. For now, he would put it out of his mind and turned to the man who asked him a question. He didn't even know his name. As far as he knew, he just immediately pegged him as a bad guy due to his horrible experience before he found Fluttershy. He felt kinda bad about that and Spike should've known better though he was just being protective. Hopefully he didn't take it the wrong way. "Um...I'm feeling fine now, thanks for asking." he had said in a small voice. Spike was more preoccupied with the device he held in his hand. He never seen anything like that though of course he wouldn't since he is in a new world. "A call, huh? What do you mean by that? Sending messages? Kinda like my fire breath? You can use magic? I mean, you can go ahead if you want. It's your house, right? No need to ask us, we're comfortable with it, right Fluttershy?" he asked her as he looked to his side and up at her. He once again looked to the man and walked toward him. "Hey listen, sorry about that...uh...situation back there. I didn't even catch your name. Name's Spike, Twilight's number one assistant!" he said with pride. He stuck out his hand to shake if he wanted to. Considering how he acted, he at least wanted him to know that he was comfortable with him. "Also, I want to thank you for taking care of Fluttershy. If you need anything then I'm your drag-...uh, I mean, boy. Yeah. That's what I meant." Spike said rather quickly. It wasn't because he thought he wouldn't believe him but he didn't know if he already knew that him and Fluttershy wasn't from this world or wasn't supposed to be like the fellow in front of him. Although, he already pretty much dropped the ball by mentioning his fire breath. Hoping that he probably didn't take that seriously.
  10. @@Miss Reaper, @@Windbreaker, The few seconds before Spike had fainted, he could feel himself being lifted into the air and carried away. The only thing that Spike was worried about was Fluttershy who was with him and this guy...alien...thing. Whatever he was. Spike had already considered that Fluttershy wouldn't be able to lift him and it wasn't because she wasn't strong enough but because she wasn't used to standing on two legs. Although Spike didn't know if there were others that got transported to this strange world or just him and Fluttershy. One thing was for certain though, his stomach was keeping him from having a sound sleep while he was unconscious. Punishing him for something that was out of his control. Doesn't it know it's master was having a hard time not having a heart attack due to all the new things around him? Selfish. Stomach only wants to think about itself above anything. That was to say, it was the only thing that was keeping his mind from having a hard time with this new development. He wondered just what Twilight would do? Better yet, what if she found out that he was on the battlefield, fighting the enemy that showed itself in Equestria? Or the fact that his anger triggered a monstrous growth? Ugh. The feeling was awful to say the least. He could remember it even now. He didn't know if he snapped or it just naturally came due to the overwhelming desire to protect. The feeling of it was making him toss and turn. He gritted his teeth in his sleep and black smoke bellowed from his nose. He started sweating, shaking even. Like he was trying to hold himself together. That basic, primal desire. Not even the gentle Spike was immune to it. He may have been a dragon raised by ponies but he was still a dragon. He didn't think anypony knew about all the things he have to go through to keep his dragon instincts down. It didn't happen often but when they did, they were a doozy. Did you ever wonder where Spike would disappear to? Well, there's your answer. This dream he was in, he was staring at himself smashing the enemy with his mighty dragon claws. He remembered how good it felt. To be in control. To squash all that opposed you...the nerve of them trying to take over his territory! Yet...in the inside, Spike knew he wasn't that way and was never going to be unless he could help it. This feeling made him sick to his stomach. No...he couldn't deal with this right now. He had bigger things to worry about like how to survive in this new world and his good friend, Fluttershy. He needed to wake, right now. "Listen here, I'm in control. I don't listen to you, you listen to me. You may have won last time but you won't here!" Spike with such a fierce voice but on the outside, he was mumbling. What happened after that was something he didn't expect he would do. He roared like a dragon inside of his dream but on the outside, he growled loudly in a fierce dragon-like voice. Spike eyes shot open and he sat up fast, clutching his chest and breathing heavily. He needed to calm down. "Come on, Spike. Close your eyes and breathe..." he sat there doing that for a couple minutes until he was calm again then opened his eyes to see that his surroundings had changed. It seemed that he was in a house. Who's house, he didn't know. Maybe it was the guy Fluttershy was with? He swung his legs around so he was sitting down. "H-Hello? Fluttershy? Are you in here?" he called out to see if she would hear him. He kinda didn't want to move from where he was sitting.
  11. Alien Isolation on PS4. This game...freaks me out! That alien really does hear the faintest of sounds. Can't get away from it! Also Destiny on both 360 and PS4. Prototype, Bioshock 2, AC 3, and Doom II.

  13. Hello, my name's Astral. Recently, my life has been put me in a bit of a bind. I'm not one to let anything keep me down for long though, no matter what it is. So, in order to take my mind off things. Going to be writing a short, little story between Astral and my favorite character from the show, Spike. Don't write stories all that well but I hope this is good enough for an enjoyable read. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ It was midnight. Luna's moon high in the sky and usually everypony would be asleep, resting for the day tomorrow. All except two lonely souls in Ponyville. While one of the residents was well known, not just in Ponyville but Crystal Empire as well. That's right, everypony's favorite dragon, Spike. Twilight's number one assistant and savior of the Crystal Empire. He was awake, packing some things to visit his friend who just now came back into town, Astral Legend. Now this stallion was certainly a character indeed. Almost nopony knew that he actually lived in town because he only came out at night when everypony was asleep and slept during the day. He lived in the house that was near Sugarcube Corner. So far, everypony thought that home was just vacant yet nopony decided to take a look inside just to see if somepony was living in it. Astral mostly spent his time outside of Ponyville much like his parents are currently doing right this moment. Spike packed his small pack with much as he possibly could which mainly consisted of comic books and gems. He would be staying up all night, after all. It would be good to have something to snack on and show Astral what he had been missing out on his childhood. He already gotten the consent from Twilight which she was more than happy to let him do so and was proud that he finally gotten another friend who was a stallion other than Big Mac. While Twilight wanted to meet Astral, Spike said that she'd meet him in due time and it was because Astral was terribly awkward meeting new ponies especially how Twilight's curiosity would get the better of her and might end up frightening Astral a little. Spike was very considerate of Astral's problems and being the gentledragon that he was, he was going to help him get over that little problem but for now, they were going to have a quiet night together and hopefully learn a few things about each other on the way. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- (To Be Continued)
  14. That feeling when you think you're stuck. Time's not moving forward...to always feel as if there's nothing else for you down that deep, dark tunnel we call life. Hopefully, I can find that light at the end of the tunnel.

  15. @@Miss Reaper,@@Windbreaker, Spike's Perspective Spike looked over to the odd man once he spoke, asking them both to come with him for a warm drink. Now, considering the start that he had here, he stood in front of Fluttershy protectively and tried his best to look threatening but it only came off as the cutest face anyone has ever seen. It didn't even look like he was angry but his cheeks puffed out like he was pouting but of course Spike couldn't see it but only Fluttershy would know when he was serious and he certainly was. "How do we know we can trust you? As far as I know, all these...creatures like yourself seem way, way too dangerous. I got nothing but chased since I got here and you tell me that we should just follow you? Why?" obviously his stomach wasn't sharing the same conscious as it's master because it did nothing but growled since the moment he sat down at the tree earlier. It wasn't helping his position any either considering it was so loud and his legs became too weak from all that running and he collapsed onto his knees now that his fatigue caught up with him."Oh forget it, I'm way too tired and hungry to move or even care right now..." he turned his head to the side, huffing out a cloud of emerald smoke in frustration. This was all too taxing for the young dragon, he wished Twilight was here because at least she'd know what to do. He looked up at Fluttershy, while Spike knew he had no choice but to trust this stranger since he wasn't trying to come after him like all the rest. He just couldn't...at least not right yet. Not until he knew the guy but since Fluttershy was with him before Spike found her and so far she seemed to trust him, he was going to give the stranger the benefit of a doubt and just go along with it. If he tried anything he didn't like...well, let's just say that third degree burns from a dragon wasn't something you could easily get rid of. Spike would keep his eye on him for now until he knew for sure he could trust him but for now, he wasn't letting Fluttershy out of his sight if he was in the same room with her. Considering this was uncharted territory for them, he had to do his best to protect his best friend now that he was separated from everypony else. Not that he remembered what happened when he tried to help on the battlefield back in Equestria. Spike looked up at the man, his expression now softening. "Uh, I know this is a weird question but you wouldn't happen to have any gems where you live, do you? Any kind will do, I really need to get something in my stomach." didn't even occur to Spike that he hasn't said that he was a dragon but he was sure the stranger might find out sooner rather than later if the signs wasn't evident already. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Serenity's Perspective Serenity was sitting in her spacious office inside of her home in Tokyo, trying her hand at trying to draw a few character concepts. Nothing too fancy as it wasn't associated with anything, she was on her vacation, after all. Even though she was, she really didn't plan on going anywhere. It was a last minute thing after she had helped work on the second of an anime that she was very fond of, Rosario + Vampire. The whole thing had been stressful. Fun, yes but very, very stressful. Getting into animation work wasn't easy, not at all. Considering how most animes were made, from the tiniest strands of hair flowing gently in the wind to complex as high speed fighting scenes had to be perfect and with almost no room for error. Sometimes right in the middle of making an episode, things would be changed around or altered another way according to the editor in charge of them all and boy, oh boy, when it was that would mean late nights in the offices and others passing out because of no sleep. Literally, she had to live two weeks inside the company she worked for because the whole production schedule had been moved up so much that no one had time to sleep. From that point on for two weeks, it wasn't nothing but coffee and energy drinks. That was MURDER on her, she never wanted to do that again but the bonus was very nice, nice enough to get her this house, her office, and the makeover she wanted too. Serenity put the end of the pencil in her mouth, flicking it up and down as she looked out of her window. She made a point of heading to the beach at some point and now she was taking a vacation, what was stopping her? I'll tell you what, she was too lazy to go. It felt like a lazy Sunday today for her, she didn't really want to go outside but she didn't want to be a slave to her own home too. What to do, what to do. She guessed for starters, she could go to Akihabara and stock up on some new manga, at least that wasn't too far of a train ride but considering how stuffy it could get in there...maybe it'd be better to go at night. She was a 'vampire' after all, a pretty cute one at that. She giggled to herself for that thought and got up, closing down her tablet. "Maybe I should just take a walk." she said to herself before grabbing her keys, her phone, and purse. She walked downstairs then out of the door, heading toward the train station.
  16. @@Miss Reaper, @@Windbreaker, Spike was huddled up against a tree with his head on his arms. He looked angry but he wasn't, he was just thinking really hard what he was going to do. There's no way he could stay in here in this strange world. They had...things he didn't understand, creatures he haven't seen before. He even got chased by one of them! Spike knew if he wasn't so kind-hearted, he would've gave those creatures what-for. Unfortunately for him, he was also one of them too. Cute, yes, but he was one of creatures that chased him and wasn't a dragon anymore. He huffed, a little fire bellowing out. For once in his young, short life, he didn't know what to do. If Twilight were here, she would say that knowledge is the key and should be trying to find out anything and everything they could about this world if they were going to survive. Of course, that was blatantly obvious to Spike but considering the start he had here...he wasn't in the mood to do so. Though he knew that he couldn't just stay there...even though he really wanted to. He stood up from the ground then brushed his clothes off and his stomach started growling. Great. Another problem to deal with and he acknowledged it with a roll of his eyes and looked down at his stomach. "Shut up. I'll find you something to eat. Just...let me get my bearings first." Spike said as he looked around. Walking on two legs was easy, he did it all the time. The thing that was bothering him was some of the locals. Of course he could use his fire breath if someone tried to hurt him but Spike didn't have the heart to do something like that and he wouldn't either, no matter what unless the situation called for it and Twilight told him to do so but other than that, no. Just then as he was ready to walk away, he swore he heard someone call his name. It sounded familiar. Soft, motherly, and...shy. Spike turned around to see a girl trying to run over to him but falling flat on the ground. Spike winched in pain because he knew it must've hurt. He looked around again, knowing he shouldn't do it but he was gentledra-...err gentleman. Spike ran over to her and stopped in front of her as she got up. Getting a good look at her face, he instantly recognized who it was. It was Fluttershy! Whether she was ready or not, Spike jumped against her and hugged her tightly. "Fluttershy! I'm so glad to see you! I can't believe you're here! I was wondering how I was going to find any of you girls in this strange place!" Spike didn't let go of Fluttershy. Why? She was the only pony...umm...person he knew and he was NOT about to let her out of his sight. Not until he found the others.
  17. Spike being out in the middle of nowhere or at least that's where he think he was, wandering without a sense of direction. The expression on his face was that of fear and confusion but the look in his eyes made it seem that his mind hasn't just got done processing what just happened to him. Whatever did happen...he remembered when he was standing beside Twilight eating a cupcake...then a guard just happened to yell something and all of sudden things went black for him like his mind literally couldn't remember what happened next. He remembered wanting to help the others fight this new enemy even when Twilight told him to run and hide. He didn't do so, he couldn't. He knew that he had to help them, they were his friends after all. He was too small to fight and way too weak to actually go up against the changelings. That's when he figured that he could try to reason and use the dragon within to grow large enough to combat the enemy. Using the fight around him as a source of anger. He could feel his mind slipping into a state of anger, rage, and strength. He remember growing larger and larger until his roar could be heard from every direction then...the memory stopped right there. Traces of anger and rage was on his mind, he knew he probably lost control at the height of it all but he felt that he didn't attack any of his friends or other ponies. He was glad for that... Speaking of which, landing in this strange place...where ever he was...wasn't any help either. He landed in the middle of the road during that storm that brought him here, was almost hit by a car, then chased by creatures he didn't recognize. Then to add fuel to the fire...he was one of them now! He no longer had scales, no spikes, or his tail! He was this...short, scaleless...creature with elastic, super soft skin, pinchable cheeks, and a short mane but he wasn't a pony or even looked like one! Hair. He'd call it hair for now. Suddenly he had clothes, a purple jacket with spikes...not his spikes, mind you, but actual dragon spikes even though they were fake but still. Black pants and a tan t-shirt. This was NOT helping his sanity. He wasn't a dragon anymore...at least he still had his magic flame breath which for some reason was a lot stronger than normal and it was hot but wasn't enough to burn him. At least he was happy that he still had his immunity to heat still intact too. Spike wandered into a park and sat under a tree, hugging his knees and buried his head against them. He tried to think of what happened to the others, he knew his friends were still in the same predicament as him. Oh, he hoped that they were okay...He couldn't panic. He wouldn't do him any good, he needed to find his friends but just how would he do that? This place wasn't Equestria and he wasn't a dragon anymore. There were strange devices everywhere that he didn't recognized...it did strike him as curious though but he knew it probably wasn't a good idea to go about just touching any random thing he saw. Who knows what it might do? He wasn't a dragon anymore and they could explode, hurting him or worse! He rather not think about it. His mind was racing with so many questions that he couldn't even begin to process them fast enough. Unfortunately...his stomach growled. He was hungry, he needed gems...tasty, sweet gems. Though, it brings up the question, where would he find some? He was fairly sure he couldn't just dig anywhere...he didn't have his tail or claws anymore anyway. He didn't have any bits on him since Twilight held onto them so he would go impulse buying. Great. Now he was going to starve to death if these new creatures he encountered didn't eat him first. He had his fire still...he could protect himself but he didn't want to hurt them. He was a gentle soul. He sighed at his luck and decided to just stay here until he could form a plan of action to find and save his friends, where ever they were...
  18. Here for a bit...I actually had to tear myself away from my family.

  20. Possible conversation Future Me: "Yeah. So. In the future you're going to like a show called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic." Past Me: "Huh? Really? Why the hell for? Anime is soooooooooo much better! Why would I be interested in a show with colorful ponies?" Future Me: "Why? You know I wouldn't watch anything unless it was really good to begin with." Past Me: "Yeah, definitely true. So...any certain time in the future I should watch it?" Future Me: "Just watch out for a TV station called The Hub by Disney." Past Me: "Right, got'cha. Just so you know, if you came back in time to tell me this then why don't you tell me something useful like...getting rich?" Future Me: "...Well, I could tell you some numbers for a few lotteries. Only if you promise to watch the show when it begins." Past Me: "Yeah. Good one. Like I'm not going to listen to my future self for pointing out to me a good show to watch on TV. You know since I got the internet, don't really watch TV. If it was a show that made me get interested in watching TV again then it must be good. Future Me: "Wow. I was smart when I was young..." Past Me: "Damn right I am. Now where's those numbers?" ------------------------------------------------- Bottom line, my younger self would listen to future me and became a brony a lot earlier than it took me.
  21. You're stronger than you might think, Spike. That fire brewing in you is the flame of a dragon who has something precious to protect. Don't forget that. - Astral

  22. Playing Dead Island Riptide for the 360. Like this game a lot but can't help but feel that this game was made because they couldn't fit it all in the first game. Eh. That's just me though. Oh, also playing The World's Not Enough on 00 Agent on my N64 and a speedrun of all 120 stars in Super Mario 64.
  23. @, I don't understand what's so hard about the water temple. Is there something I'm missing? The only one that was hard for me was the Forest Temple but the Water Temple wasn't that bad.
