  1. Now thats a good question. A.k Yearling is probably a pen name as everyone else has suggested. Daring Do is based on Indiana Jones, Indiana Jones of course isn't his real name. However, since names in Equestria can be all kinds of crazy stuff, Daring Do seems to fit. Daring Do is probably her real name.
  2. Heres mine, however I did it over wifi on an old laptop while watching netflix, so its probably a little faster than this.
  3. Hey dude, concerning your music do you play and record vocals at the same time? I've always struggled with playing and singing simultaneously, do you have any tips for this?

I guess the best advice I can think of for learning to sing with the guitar is to try playing just single strums while singing instead of strumming patterns. that way you can sort of ease yourself into how it feels to sing at the same time. I practiced singing from day 1 when I started learning to sing, so I was just focusing on playing the right chords and singing rather than strumming patterns.

np. I'm always here to help :)

  4. I think in a way cgi is limiting animated films. Sure cgi can give you more detail, more realistic physics and whatnot, but in the end its all defined by computer models, codes of movement and paths and once something is defined its limited. 2d animation doesn't have any values, the only thing that can limit traditional animation is the creativity of the human mind.
  5. Goodnight (or morning, I really need to sleep more :P)

  6. Twilight Sparkle quote of the night: "Okay, here's the plan. Rainbow Dash, you distract them... Good. Everyone else, we need to build an exact copy of Ponyville right over there." (Swarm of the Century, S1 E10) Goodnight, everyone don't let the parasprites bite.
  7. I agree, Applejack has always been a great supporting character. And her humor has only improved down the seasons. People have to understand that a character doesn't need a lot of character development and time in the spotlight to be a great character. Some of my favorite characters from other series have been supporting characters, sure you might not see them as often, but that doesn't mean they can't have great personalities. I think Applejack has been one of the most stable and consistent characters in the entire show, which makes development hard. Its probably for the best that there aren't too many Applejack episodes because in order for her to learn a lessons the writers often have to mess with her characterization. Nevertheless, I do hope to see more Applejack this season.
  8. Thanks, yeah and there will definitely more of that kind of stuff on the way.
  9. Everything. Literally. For the longest time I was just a classic rock and metal enthusiast. Then being in the fandom got me in to electronic music. Then I decided that I just liked all types of music except Hip-hop, Rap and what ever trash was being played on the pop music radio station. Of course I realized that not everything new has to be bad (though popular music nowadays does end up being pretty generic), and I decided to stop judging rap until I actually listened to some. I found out there is some rap I like, and I can certainly appreciate the talent behind it. Yeah so know I like all genres now (Eccept country) I still listen to rock the most, right now I'm really into punk rock and hardcore, the energy at those concerts is just amazing,
  10. I just made a soundcloud account and began posting all the music I've made. You can check it out here:https://soundcloud.com/user-494997630

  11. Check out these two songs I made. I was going for a retro-y kind of vibe. I like the first song the most, but I would like to know what you guys think. Also, check the rest of the stuff on my soundcloud, its mostly piano and orchestral compositions (I'll probably make another topic for that kind of stuff later)
  12. Banned for worrying about time. Time is merely an illusion.
  13. Hello everyone, its never to late (or early) to post Twily. Does every one like Twily as a nickname? Its the only other cannon nickname given to one of the mane six besides RD (Dashie), unless you count Pinkie as a nickname (I don't). I was recently thinking about one of my favorite Twilight Sparkle moments, in Lesson Zero, specifically when Twilight shows smarty pants to the cmc and she says, " She even comes with her own notebook and quill, for when you want to pretend she's doing her homework!" I can just imagine a young Twilight finishing all her homework, and still needing something to do, so she pretends to do more homework with Smarty Pants. That whole image just goes to show how intense of a desire for learning she has always had.
  14. S2ep25: This episode is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Disney.
  15. Well at least people have to wear boxing gloves now, which slightly minimizes the chance of concussion. I don't think boxing is exactly horrible, there is actually some strategy involved in it. But still, most extreme contact sports aren't really my cup of tea.
  16. If? What do you mean if? Dude, he's out there, some where... and when I find him I gonna clean him out in a game of poker. I don't now what out of tho, I'm not sure what bigfoots (or would it be Bigfeet?) use for currency. XD
  17. I love this song, but this video is just weird. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mbBbFH9fAg
  18. Yeah that slightly concerned me too, having some guy who hasn't worked with the show before doing the script, that's questionable. I saw Ice Age: Continental Drift, its meh, probably my least favorite of the Ice Age sequels, but according to the internet Ballarini wasn't that heavily involved with Continental Drift, so its probably not a very good judge of his talent. Besides Meghan and the rest of the show staff would probably prevent him from doing anything too stupid.
  19. This is probably more for me than it is for all of you, but I must ask, how can this movie be anything less than amazing? The Stars all seem to be in alignment, we've got back Jayson Thiessen the former supervising director and executive producer, who has been with the show for five and a half seasons and the same familiar and dependable voice actors who have been the voice of the show since the very beginning. Plus, the celebrity voice talents of Emily Blunt and Kristin Chenoweth and possibly Michael Pena and Uzo Aduba, the info's right here in this article. Considering the already great animation from DHX, the movie animation is bound to be even better. To top it off, its being written by the show's very own Meghan McCarthy, whose writing has never been anything less than decent. I think the writing is going to be one the the most important parts, but based on McCarthy's track record I don't see how there could be any problems. What do you think of the movie's line up? Will McCarthy's writing pull through? How could they possible screw this up? Is anyone as worried about this as I am?
  20. Mlp will probably return to the big screen eventually. Whether it be a direct sequel to this movie or a movie based on some future G5 of mlp. The fact is that mlp is too big of a franchise for Hasbro to let go of. GreenGreenWhirlWind does make a good point, G4 of mlp has run longer than most children shows, so there might not be another G4 movie, but there's always g5. So to indirectly answer this very uncertain question, no one can see into the future, you'll just have to wait and see for yourself.
  21. Banned for not looking close enough the first time.
  22. Banned for not appreciating the joys of 12 o'clock eggs and toast.
