  1. G5 will be sandbox open-ending full-immersion virtual reality. ;P
  2. Oy! Something I forgot to mention before. If we extend the Mane 6 to include Spike, then Spike is THE BEST MOM EVER!
  3. My own headcanon is that Princess Celestia's original name was.... Princess Platinum. Dun Dun Duuun!
  4. Did you book it for both friday and saturday nights? Because I booked it for both nights, and I'm also looking for someone to split the bill with. If you're staying for both nights, I'll be happy to see about doing an arrangement with you. My own arrangement, if you're interested, is to find three people so as to split the bill four ways for the weekend.
  5. At this point, I'd care more about how it was handled than about whether it was handled at all. I'm still thinking about the "What Was Missing" episode in Adventure Time, when it kinda-except-not-really subtly hinted that Marceline and Bubblegum might have had a romantic relationship in the past. Normally I would have been very happy with the idea, but I hated the episode itself. Marceline had always been sort of a jerk, but it had always been depicted as part of her greater-than-life persona where she loves things that are edgy and in-your-face. But in the "What Was Missing" episode, she was just horribly hostile for no reason, and self-victimizing too. Willing to dish it out, but not to take it, so that she just came off as completely unlikeable. Definitely not an episode that would make me want to cheer for a relationship between her and anybody else, male or female. So yeah. If MLP ever tackled the issue of homosexuality, I hope it's better than that trainwreck.
  6. Even if the world IS flat, how would this stop wind from forming? The sun shining down on Equestria would still cause hot air to rise, with colder wind from the colder regions in the north (and presumably the south as well) rushin in to fill the gap.
  7. The real question is what other G3 characters they'll bring in now that they re-introduced the Breezies. I'm hoping for Whimsey Weatherbe myself.
  8. Say nothing! She'd go all Nightmare Rarity on me, and not in a sexy way!
  9. Well, it's fun. That seems reason enough to do it. And as long as it's not hostile, or insensitive, it's also harmless. That seems reason enough to dismiss concerns not to do it.
  10. Because Swag! Or maybe he was still looking for the receipt.
  11. Miss Kasumi Evans is not only an amazing singer as Rarity, but matches Tabitha St. Germain's performance perfectly. Rarity's singing voice in the French dub is also wonderful. Check out Becoming Popular in French. It's probably my favorite MLP dub of all time.
  12. I wish I was going! But I have no money or vacation time. I'm already planning my trip to BABSCon, which is a lot closer to me, and gives me a lot more time to prepare, but that's a long way's off.
  13. I'd love to see them get their cutie marks. I fail to see how closing that story arch would end them as characters. It's like saying that there's no other pursuit left for them after that. That's absurd. They'll always have fears and desires beyond that. They are not so one-dimentional.
  14. And let's not forget Apple Bloom speaking in 'fancy' In any case, there definitely seems to be an Equestrian Mexico. There's been mentions of quesadillas and chimichangas. We've heard the piñata song and seen mariachi bands. Yay!
  15. I would politely explain that lacking fur, a thick horsehide, or hooves, I require the additional protection that clothes provide for me. I would neglect bringing attention to my danglybits for fear of being infavorably compared to the stallions that surroud me. Also, I would cling to my clothes for fear of being confused for a Yahoo. I have no desire of being treated like a beast of burden by my Houyhnhnm masters. Or do I?
  16. I honestly couldn't stop thinking of Clutch Cargo when we saw Mrs. Harshwhinny's freaky mouth movements in the Flight to the Finish episode.
  17. I had a good answer for this question, but unfortunately I assume the forums are pg-rated at least
  18. I see a Weekend at Bernie's situation, with Luna and Twi desperately working Celestia's corpse with strings like a puppet to keep Equestria in the dark.
  19. Obviously changelings DON'T work. They cruise on our welfare, corrupt our fillies and undermine our Celestia-fearing values!
  20. She's certainly mysterious, and I hope there's always that element to her. Just not at the expense of giving her so little character development. I mean, I cheer every time she has a scene, but I still wish there was more to her than just advice and plot exposition. Will we ever see her really sad, worried or scared? Will we ever hear her in a singing role? Will she ever hear any backstory for her? Will she ever make a serious mistake and have to live up to the consequences? I mean, I don't expect much. The show has shown wonderful development for the main characters, but secondary characters get extremely limited exposure, and background characters get next to none. It's just... you know. They have a great cast! It'd be nice to see them shift the focus away from the Mane Six, Spike and the CMC just for a little bit to give us some more development for everyone else.
  21. Oh, I'm sure there's other stuff that make her unique. Though I'd love it the show itself helped me out here and actually did more character development for her!
  22. For my part, I think it's a witch doctor thing. I list two reasons. Neither is very solid, but hey! It's something to go on. First off, in the Bridal Gossip episode, when we hear her speak in her native tongue, she doesn't *quite* sound like she's rhyming, though it's a little hard to tell sometimes. That at least suggests that rhyming is not that deeply ingrained in her, and to me that says she was not raised to always rhyme, which rules out the idea that it's a zebra thing. As for the magical aspect, I'm reminded of loremasters in populations that have oral traditions, where some people are hired to be human encyclopedias, memorizing the contents of several books. Rhymes make for good mnemonics, so perhaps witch doctors work in that capacity, trained to rhyme since apprenticehood so as to better remember formulas and whatnot. It might also be for show, as part of the witch doctor shtick. Just about anything can sound more ominous and mysterious if it's in rhyme.
  23. So is her rhyming a zebra thing, a witchcraft thing, or a Zecora thing? I got my own theories, but I wanna hear yours first, so at to compare.
  24. I'd make a ton of bad things happen to him. Not because I hate him, (though I kinda do) but because he seems to have a pretty zen and chill attitude, and those attributes are usually only fun when we see them pitted against their opposite. Again, I don't wanna merely see him as a butt monkey. I want to see him triumph against adversity. He might be a lot more likeable then. Also, if you're gonna give him a generic story hook-prop, like a guitar, you damn well better do something interesting with that.
