  1. I don't think I've ever seen a sleeping scrunch face before. x3
  2. I like Spike; he's practically the only male in FIM that I do like.
  3. Sounds a bit like hair-splitting, but fair enough. What the fandom thinks of Flash isn't relevant to how you feel about him; you neither have to justify liking him nor build him up in the eyes of others. To me, it looks as though you constructed an argument on top of an emotional foundation and then behaved, in subsequent posts, as though it were bulletproof. But I assume you were looking for validation rather than debate (as people are wont to do). I thought you already found him interesting. Isn't that enough? But, in order for him to receive further development, he'll take up more screen time as a consequence. Would that, then, render the complaints valid? What if that further development isn't well-received? Hell, what if YOU don't like that further development? You can't change everyone's minds and opinions, and, even if you could, there's no guarantee that Flash will get the care and attention you think he deserves. I'm not personally invested enough in the guy to even want to see that development; he just didn't make a good enough first impression. But that's me, and my impression of him shouldn't matter to you.
  4. Same reason I post practically anything on the internet: I felt like it. I didn't read it; that was kind of my point. A few sentences in and a quick skim thereafter told me that you went to all this trouble dredging up a tired old argument (that I only ever hear about when someone is mounting a defense against an attack that isn't even occurring), and you went the text-bombardment route. Just because you typed a lot of stuff doesn't mean your opinions about something have become irrefutable fact. And you probably lost any supposed "Flash haters" the moment you called them all "stupid"; I did notice that part. Why do you care? I'd genuinely like to know. Give me your most sincere and succinct response.
  5. I'm a fan of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu (that one's not actually a guilty pleasure).
  6. Loli basketball. Any explanation or excuses I put here will probably just make things worse, so I'm not gonna bother.
  7. I don't truly hate Flash Sentry; he isn't worthy of my hate. You'd have to be a pretty disgusting individual for me to really hate you, and Flash doesn't measure up. I am, however, tired of hearing about the fucker. Is the fandom highly critical towards Flash Sentry? Yes. But is the fandom ALSO highly critical towards far more prominent, developed, or important cast members? YES. Which is why I don't quite understand the continuing focus on such a relatively minor character like Flesh Pantry. It's fine if you like the guy. Hell, it's fine if you love the guy; maybe you really do see something in him that others don't. And you're obviously free to spend your time building and devoting huge text walls to him if you so wish. But I'm not interested in reading those text walls, and any topic addressing fandom hypocrisy potentially has about eight hundred other, arguably better points of discussion out there.
  8. From "The Free Dictionary": magic n 4. any mysterious or extraordinary quality or power: the magic of springtime. adj 7. possessing or considered to possess mysterious powers: a magic wand. 8. unaccountably enchanting: magic beauty. 9. informal wonderful; marvellous; exciting --- It's kind of silly not to believe in magic.
  9. Chibi-cute. Matilda (background) as she appears in Amuro's (presumed) fantasy in Mobile Suit Gundam-san.
  10. The series means a lot to some people. Watching FIM had an unexpectedly wonderful impact on my life; so I agree that there is something like magic in it. Thanks for sharing, @iDanny.
  11. What do you mean? I was just goofing; I wasn't out to hurt anyone's feelings. I see the "cannon" misspelling a lot on the site, and I find it amusing. I don't think anyone in this topic hates you. You aren't the only person to use the wrong "canon"; not by a long shot. It's a VERY common mistake. I wouldn't have pointed it out if I'd known you'd be bothered by it; I just saw a pun opportunity and couldn't resist. I apologize.
  12. I already said my piece (and then some), and I was sincere in all I said. However, I still felt compelled to come back and share this thing I threw together:
  13. Throughout my life, I've been attracted to everything from animated mice to Barbie dolls and statuary to Ariel and mermaids to Medusa and lamia to anime characters to anthro bunnies, foxes, and horses to Sagwa's frickin' mom to Midna and Medli to Lopunny and Renamon to Beyonce to Kyary Pamyu Pamyu to one sexy blue bombshell of a pegasus; all consistently female. I've been attracted to a variety of women, and I'm very much in love with a vivacious, rainbow-maned quadruped. Sorry: I kind-of hate telling people I'm "straight"; it's one of the more boring things you can tell anyone. That, and I know love comes in many different forms - and is no less special or beautiful whether it exists between a male and a female, male and a male, or female and a female. Or hot dog and an enchilada. What?! xD
  14. Every forum I've been a part of has, unfortunately, experienced some fairly significant staff-related issues. Not saying the members themselves were always blameless, but I've tired of running into basically the same problems wherever I go. Many of the more interesting and fun people stopped posting or straight up left, and, in several cases, it had to do with how the site was managed. Place became increasingly strict; a number of people were banned or pointed for things that might not have incurred any punishment at all in the past. Eh, c'est la vie.
  15. Reminds me of "Baloo the bear," as his name means "bear." Bear the bear. Soft Breeze Breeze should be his canon name. xD Yes, it's definitely redundant, but not everyone knows what "zephyr" means. So shhhhhh: don't let this get around too much.
  16. I finished digitally coloring my drawing of Angel dressed like a nun; took my time painting the shading. Angel Nun - complete by me
  17. A short(er)-cropped mane would look cute on show Rainbow; her mane is already relatively short when compared against other members of the Mane Six. Preserve the spikiness, though.
  18. So the depiction of a homosexual relationship is somehow more "adult" than the depiction of a heterosexual relationship (which we've already seen in-show)? If a straight relationship doesn't shift the TVY rating, a gay one shouldn't either. One could also ask: What the hell's the point to heterosexual relationships in-show? Here's what some of you are missing, here: A homosexual relationship is no less and no more valid than a heterosexual relationship; nor does it have to be depicted any more explicitly than heterosexual relationships have been thus far in MLP:FIM. The only thing really keeping them out of the show is parents with sticks up their respective asses; people who would cry foul the moment a "non-traditional" relationship was acknowledged in CANON. Not especially relevant within the context of the topic; particularly if MLP:FIM's first homosexual relationship were to involve two never-before-seen ponies. Besides: What you said could also be applied to heterosexual ships. Some people are fine with hetero ships and balk at homosexual pairings; seemingly for no other reason than, "That pony absolutely CAN'T be gay." Admittedly, when I shipped (which I've not done in earnest for a long time), I favored lesbian couples. Because I prefer lesbian couples. All that being said... It doesn't seem likely that it'll happen. I say this because there's still some degree of aversion to homosexual pairings in children's programming. Which I personally think is stupid. I don't think homosexual relationships should be treated any differently than heterosexual relationships, but the former is relatively taboo (oooOoo, spooky ghost) or envelope-pushing. There are individuals who continue to mistake homosexuality for a moral issue. I wouldn't necessarily mind if ALL relationships, gay or straight, were left out of the series altogether, but hetero relationships have already received a certain amount of focus. Meaning the only reason gay relationships haven't is, well, all the crap I just went over. How long will this endure as an excuse to exclude, though? Are HETERO relationships handled subtly in children's programming? Cadance and Shining Armor Hot Dogs was shoe-horned into the series out of absolutely nowhere. The first homosexual relationship in a children's program is gonna be noticed, no matter HOW it's handled. There are people who will still flip out at the relatively subtle scenario you proposed, and there are people who will cry "shoe-horning" ANYWAY. Can't someone just pop the damned cork already? Can Steven Magnet just have a boyfriend, please? Can we just take an already blatant homosexual stereotype and let him have a sea serpent beau? I know he has one, off-screen. I'd be fine with a male / male pairing or female / female pairing, and I don't care if it's given an entire episode or a mere mention. I don't ship, and I don't want to see every - or necessarily any - ship in the fandom made canon. I don't need anything validated; I just think it's ridiculous that it's still an issue in this day and age.
  19. So gonna look for that figure when I'm at Wal-Mart. Some internet-derived pics; Idunno who draw'd them, this time. A close call. o_o In semi-related news: I'd watch an honest-to-goodness EQG anime. And a couple of drawings from LiaAqila. Bored Hi There!
  20. Nope. Thea Queen from Arrow. Making her crazy-face (one of many).
  21. Cute. And I do generally find female Draenei attractive. Sakurako-chan-man, oppai hero.
  22. I drew Angelbabe in a nun's habit. Because... I felt like drawing her in a nun's habit. xD Angel Nun by me
  23. The strongest and most enduring belief I have is the belief and faith I have in my loved ones. I admittedly do not believe in the Christian god or any god(s) of organized religion.
