  1. No, it's cool. You're hardly to blame for my tentativeness / silliness lol. I take ownership of my own awkwardness xD.
  2. I know it sounds silly lol. Hence why I edited in the word "limited," as said anonymity is rather delicate / threatened as it is. But posting the URL direct to my dA home page denotes a conscious invitation: "Hey, peoples... Come see my other weirdo stuff. Maybe don't dig into my faves so much."
  3. I don't really mind; if you can somehow link back to this forum topic that'd be especially nice. And thank you for asking first . I'll likely keep posting Sketchpad stuff; particularly if I can squeeze a pony into a drawing lol. I also post my stuff to dA, but I'm not sure I want to share that user here yet (would kill what limited anonymity I currently have xD).
  4. I'm willing to share this much of myself: And this isn't even my good hand!
  5. I chose both "stage" and "world map." Stage because I love old school games that often had little or no in-game story and focused primarily on having to tackle a series of stages. Press start and play: "Oh, the level 1-1 theme is really catchy." It's not unusual for me to be humming a robot master stage theme from some 8-bit Mega Man title (Snake Man, I'm thinking of you). I chose world map as well because I love some old school, turn-based RPGs. I'm a Dragon Quest fan, and I've always enjoyed the world map theme from the first title. And when you reach the Veldt in FFVI? I'd just sit there a while and listen to the "Wild West" track. Nowadays all my favorite video game tunes are brought to me by my Wii U (8-bit and otherwise); I can't tell you how excited I am to experience the soundtrack for the upcoming Mario Kart 8.
  6. Celestia and Pinkie just arrived in the mail. Thinking I likely overpaid for them lol, but I also underestimated their adorable-ness. Celestia's quite the looker xD. I *want* Funko Octavia and Fluttershy, and now I feel a need for a teeny tiny Rainbow Dash. I think technically this is on-topic since I'm posting Pony cards lol. I recently got some MLP cards, as well (I ordered RD / Rarity, but they sent me Twi / AJ by mistake). It plays a lot like Call of Cthulhu or A Game of Thrones, and the rules for the MLP CCG are not especially well-written / organized. Your "Mane" character goes into play immediately with the "start" side facing up (it gets flipped later if you meet the requirements on the card); she can confront problem cards (those horizontal ones at the top of the image) the same as Friends. Twi is only in the discard pile because I didn't have room for her lol. The two non-playable cards at the right form a slider that tells you how many Action Tokens you and your opponent will get at the beginning of a turn. The more points the leader has, the more Action Tokens everyone will get. Action Tokens carry over if they aren't spent, and they're used to deploy Friends, pay other card costs, restore "Frightened" Friends, move characters from one problem to another (or from your Home area to a problem), and other things I forget xD. Assembled at the top left problem are three Friends with 3, 1, and 2 Power respectively; when I paid their costs I deployed them DIRECTLY to that problem to save on Action Tokens. Since this is my opponent's problem, I need 6 Power of any color / icon type in order to confront it. Pretending that I'm the first to confront that problem, I score the 2 Bonus Points listed on the problem card. I'll also score 1 point every turn I'm able to confront it until the problem card is replaced. If both players can confront the problem, there will be a face-off that involves adding up the power of all your ponies at that problem and flipping over the top card of your deck (adding its power total as well). The most total Power wins the face-off, so you'll never be blocking or designating an attack target or anything. After a face-off is resolved you'll swap that problem out with another. I'm not totally clear on it all yet (much less Troublemaker cards), since I haven't played a real game / lack a second theme deck. You might be able to see that, on the top left Friend, he costs 4 to play and has a little 2 next to the picture of an apple. That means that, not only did I have to spend 4 Action Tokens on him alone, but I had to have at least 2 apple-icon Power in play first. AJ (at my Home) provides me with 1 apple-icon power right off the bat. As soon as Cherry Jubilee (top right) came into play, I met the 2 apple-icon Power requirement (CJ's 1 apple-icon Power + AJ's 1 Power). What this really means is this: early on in the game you'll mostly be playing lower cost cards / cards without steep icon requirements. Seems as though the game will start off rather slow; especially if you draw mostly higher cost cards. I hope some of this will prove helpful; though I'm going from memory and still learning myself.
  7. Though I don't feel people are defined by their gender, there's no one I'd rather be than who I am / what gender I am. That being said xD, I've had a good number of dreams in which I cross-dressed, became a girl, or played the role of a female character invented by my sub-conscious. And they were fun dreams. Once I was a magical girl that could create and float about unseen in giant bubbles; though I often just check myself out in a mirror (I'm always attractive in these dreams - not so in real life). Perhaps if that whole "curse" deal from Ranma 1/2 were real I'd get me some of that LOL. Otherwise, I'm happy with who / what I am. TMI: I'm wearing colorful girls' socks right now.
  8. Despite essentially being a cat with a coin stuck to its forehead, Meowth is my favorite Pokemon lol. Torchic, in my opinion, is the most adorable Pokemon. Tentacruel is awesome; I always name him Cthulhu. I like Bug, Fire, and Ghost types. I'm actually fonder of Pokemon spin-offs like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon than I am of the main series.
  9. I drew this using the program Art Academy: Sketchpad for Wii U. I think it's terrifyingly adorable. Or adorably terrifying; one of those. Just consider the pony an OC named Elda Sign xD.
  10. Meowth. Not kidding; I own a Meowth shirt lol. I also really like Tentacruel, Geodude, Torchic, Gengar, and just Bug Pokemon in general.
  11. *My* reason for creating an original character is because it's more difficult to replicate the features of a pre-existing pony lol. I'm usually capable of looking at a reference and drawing something that at least resembles it, but I prefer not to be limited by what I see in front of me. I also don't believe I could ever truly do the likes of Rainbow Dash justice. P.S. My character will likely vary in appearance from drawing to drawing lol.
  12. Thus begins my descent into madness... Waiting for Mario Kart 8's semi-imminent release xD.

  13. Coffee and Pringles, the breakfast of... Lazy, tired people lol.

  14. Since I finished getting silver or better on all the Pikmin 3 dlc missions, I've mostly been playing SMB2 (JPN) - filling up my title screen stars, SMB3, and rainbow-ing (Dashie would approve, yes?) whatever I can in NES Remix 2. OH, and working in Art Academy: Sketchpad; I've drawn a couple ponies. :3 Also played Gyruss (NES) and Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers (NES) for the first time in YEARS thanks to the generosity of my brother (play the actual carts on a RetroDuo). Yeah, I'm... A little old school lol.
  15. Here's some advice: don't be so critical of your own work xD. I'm often the same way about my stuff, but it's never as bad as you think it is. And really these aren't bad; especially considering you did two of them with a mouse and MS Paint. I think the cutie mark for the first character is particularly good. Having room for improvement just means you'll get better with time and practice. That's my second piece of advice: keep drawing.
  16. Thanks! And she's got a huge head lol. I didn't really have the room to do much, so it was either going to be a close-up of just the face or teeny tiny body xD.
  17. Another semi-quick / smallish freehand with pen & paper. I think I'm testing the waters here a bit lol.
  18. I strongly considered pursuing the GED, but I never followed through. And I took a home correspondence course if that even counts lol. The whole truth is that I'm a diagnosed obsessive compulsive and something of an agoraphobe, and my more disabling symptoms began to manifest right before and during high school (really awful timing). The thing is... The faculty more or less knew about my condition, but whatever actions they took only seemed to exacerbate the situation. They didn't seem to care that I was struggling to cope with something that I'm *still* learning to cope with to this day. To be fair, they were probably as clueless / caught off-guard about it as I was at the time.
  19. I'm sort-of on a ramen kick, too lol. Of the basic, easy-to-find flavors, I mostly eat the chicken. But there are creamy chicken and picante chicken flavors that I enjoyed. I rarely consume it in soup form (just drag the noodles out of the saucepan and douse them in spices), so I can potentially toss in actual chicken or even tuna without them getting soaked (tuna would probably work better with the shrimp flavor). If you've leftover pork steak, you could mix bite-sized chunks with pork ramen.
  20. I am without question an atheist. I won't delve far into my feelings on religion and religious persons, but I will say that I consider both Greek myth and Christian beliefs to be "mythology" (though I'm quite fond of the former). I'm an atheist for a fairly straightforward reason: I don't believe. Even as a child I questioned the religious beliefs of others. I require evidence; preferably the kind rooted in provable fact and solid logic. That being said, were Cthulhu real (and it's probably best that he isn't) I would SO worship him. Don't want to be on his bad side, anyhow.
  21. I think I need a "brohoof ALL" button lol.

  22. I've wondered similarly lol. Just to let you know, I never reveal my age online. Never ever, and under no circumstances. That being said... I'm thirty-one. And that number is likely to increase later this year . I feel I occupy the fringe of the fandom rather than being an outright Brony, but I find myself on the verge of taking "the plunge." The subculture fascinates me to some degree, and - as someone with a significant amount of social anxiety - the generally welcoming / tolerant nature of the community has helped me open up a tad. As someone who intends to play Super Mario games until crippling arthritis sets in (or my thumbs fall off), I don't think there is or should be an age limit to the things you enjoy. And if ever you're feeling a bit "weird," I assure you... I am weirder lol. You have Pon-thulhu as your avatar, and - from what I've read - you sound like a cool dad. You're all right in my book.
