Yes, it's bad. It's a great example of things you shouldn't do in game design.
Constant forward momentum in air (aka Simon Belmont syndrome), broken abilities, an insane amount of gameplay styles, bland and uninteresting hub worlds, poor hit detection, glitches at every turn... it's a mess, yo.
I mean, don't let it stop you from having fun with it if you enjoy it, but understand that it's a flawed product that could have been much, much better.
