No indication of Rainbow Dash's actual sexuality?
SolidTwilight replied to SolidTwilight's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I know a few people that thought this and I have meet more then one lesbian that acts like RD (not to say that all girls that act that way are lesbians) also you could describe RD as: rainbow colored tomboy with short hair. put that into google and tell me that you don't get anything lesbian related spoiler, the 4 hit has the world lesbian in the title. -
No indication of Rainbow Dash's actual sexuality?

So when some people start watching the show and they see Rainbow Dash act like a tomboy and her rainbow colors they at first assume that she is gay/lesbian. But if you see all the episodes you will see that there is really zero evidence her sexuality one way or the other and I for one really like that. I think it would hurt the show if they made it one way or the other and it really does not need to be in there anyway. I like that RD can love who ever she wants and I don't think the show needs to put limits on who that SSP could be. also I don't think the show needs that kind of drama (it is a kids show after all). one of the things I like about RD is that she can just be her self with out any of the others on the show bring up any love drama. I think that there is lots of other shows for that and one of the things I like about MLP is that I can enjoy a show with a mostly female cast with out thinking about sex at any point. what about anyone else, would any of you be disappointed if they made Rainbow Dashes seuality canon?

Pinkie calls Rainbow Dash "he"

its very fascinating the different way every one uses to tell male from female. for me it has always been body shape. If you put a fake beard, and men's close on a woman, and have them act like a man, they still look like a woman to me. same goes for a man, I can spot a par of female hips from a mile away. but once you take away the human female body shape, it really starts to throw me off. I don't really see the pony snout as female or male looking, I had to learn that there was a different one for each, it did not jump out at me at first the way human female shape do. but that's just me (wow learning a lot about my self today) -
I was going to post a photo (looks like someone beat me to it) of this but after looking at it your right, that was defiantly not G raided at all. it looks like something you come across on a R34 sight. maybe I have watch to much porn in my life, but that is not something that should be on a kids show. also I want to add simple ways is my lest favorite episode of the show. not for that seen, I just think the hole episode was bad. and don't for get about the earth pony remark that tenterfoot made. also Just wanted to say I am 100% ok with both of these reference because like I saying before, no kid would ever be "hurt" by this because with out knowing about it (and if they did know, this is not going to make it any worse, and this is not going to make them look for these movies pr say) they as just pony/discord in a funny outfit.

Not so much pushing the rating so much but this is by far the most "adult" I think I have seen on the show. making a refinance to a very R rated movie (and person) about heavy, hardcore drug use. I don't think that it was a mistake because no kid would ever know that it was a refinance to that movie or hunter s tomsion, and if they did, the damage has already been done.

One of the big reasons I like MLP is because of is really good non stereotypical female characters. out side of MLP there are other characters I like that, that I am a big fan of. I am a big james cameron fan and my all time favorite moves are Terminator one and two. so some of my all time favorite female characters are: Sarah Connor (linda Hamilton) from Terminator Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) Alien and Aliens Jenette Goldstein as Vasuez is great in that too. Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Michelle Rodriguez are all good in Avatar Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio form The Abyss These are just a few off the top of my head, who are some woman characters that stick out in your head? -

its the line after that. "You did, you did say that! (talking to RD) he did say that, that was the rule"(talking to every one else.) it a bit hard to here for !00% because there is a sound of Pinkie jumping at the same time as "he" The first two facial expressions and body langue are Feminine and the rest are masculine looking, that's all. if you take away the eye lashes of the masculine ones and showed them to some one that never saw the show I bet that almost all of them would call RD a boy, but if you showed the first to photo to some one that never saw the show they would most likely say RD was a girl. -

I just noted a bit of a freudian slip by Andrea Libman in "may the best pet win". At the 20 minute mark pinkie calls rainbow dash "he". I find this interesting because most of the time I don't think of RD as a "she". I know RD is female, and I don't think of RD as a male per say, but I all most never think of RD as a "she" because of how un "girl like" like she acts. it sounds weird when I here the other ponys say "she" when talking about RD. when I think of RD I never think "she" or "he" I think of "Rainbow Dash", unlike Rarity, who I always think of as a "she". anyone else feel this way? Update; I think what I am hearing is pinkie jumps (am makes the jump sound) just as the "Sh" sound of she is sad and I am just hearing the "e" sound that is very close to sounding like a "he" sound. (how meany times can I use the word sound in this update!)

I have seen it two times. once when I did not know anything at all about the fandom and one after I have see ever episode and most of the good fan made stuff on youtube. the first time I saw it I thought it was good. it give a lot of the basics of the fandom but if you know all about it already it is just ok. -
I really like the Link Park songs that don't have any rap in them but I can't stand the ones that do,

I tend to read forums as a hole, not as individual people unless I know the people that post in them IRL, so no one person stands out, but I do have to say, I have been on lots of forums over the last 10 or so years and I think the thing that really got me hook was how excepting, opened minded and upbeat every one is (take that back, I was just in the life advice forum and I now know why every one is upbeat, its because all the depressing stuff is in there lol). if you ever been on a forum with a lot of teenage males you know how much hate can get into the posts and its great to be in a place with so much less internet hate. To be honest I first heard about bronys on howard stern (they play it at work all the time) and I thought every brony was just a cloper and I did not think the show could be that good (just an FYI I am not cloper but I don't care if someone is as long as they keep it on the down low so kids do come across it). then after learning just how big the fandom was I was thinking that there really must be a lot more to this then just a few people getting off. so by the time I watch the first two episodes I had very high expectations. after the polit I was like this show is good but not "great". the I watch a few more and got to sonic ranboom! and after that I was like WOW this show a lot more then just good! -
My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Applejack How did you find MLP Forums?: google. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: From watching the show. sonic rainboom got me hooked. first found out about the hole thing from Howard stern and then the brony documentary on Netflix Hi, I'am Jon. I finally joined after lurking for while. I am a 29 year only male for Long Island, NY, USA. I started watching MLP a few mouths ago after I saw the Brony documentary on Netflix (how meany bronys are on here because of that one lol) I wanted to know what all the fuss ways about so I watch a few shows and I was hooked. my Girl friend of 4 years had broking up with me a few mouths before that and I was really feeling down about it. after I would watch a show a strange thing happen, I would almost always be in a good mood after. Something about the voice acting, animation, story's, music and every thing that just comes together to "bright up your day". anyway if there is one thing I have learned in my life is that when you find something that really makes you happy and it has absolutely no negative effects on you, your life or anyone or anything around you, you need to embrace no matter how embarrassing or you will just be lying to your self and you will be missing out on some happiness for no go reason!
