    So, I have a theory, and maybe I'm wrong about this but, I feel like part of the reason why the MLP fanbase is mostly men/guys is b/c of the fact that many guys are taught all their lives that it's not ok to like girly/cute things, and that they need to be "manly" and that MLP is kind of an outlet for them.....

      I used to kind of cringe a bit at the theme song because it sort of light up the part of my brain that said "dude what the hell are you doing watching this?" But now I am a bit more neutral on it.

      Freud would probably think it proved his outlandish theories about boys secretly wanting to have sex with their mothers (see Oedipus Complex). For that and a few other reasons I don't take him seriously though it would still be hilarious to see what he would have to say.
