  1. Well, it is true that my enthusiasm for holidays and annual celebrations has dwindled. That excitement of waiting for the big days just doesn't exist much anymore. While age & maturity does play a part in that for me, it's not the sole reason. Really, one thing that has kinda spoiled the holidays and birthdays for me has been almost constant infighting/arguments amongst my family; especially my parents. Honestly, when a day like Christmas or Mothers Day approaches, this sense of dread seems to occupy part of my consciousness. It's like I'm waiting in the trenches for something big to go off and the yelling to start. It's happened too many times and has just...soured my holiday expectations with my family. Of course, I won't say that my holidays are 100% spoiled & all as I do tend to enjoy them one way or another, but...yeah. Maybe one day when I'm moved out or whatever I can approach them with a fresh view. Ah well...
  2. It's really hard to say as just having that one hour left is going to give you much; especially when you have to take into acount life insurance, bill appropriations, funeral arrangements (if any), wills, etc. I guess I wouldn't do much different as it'd be kinda pointless. Probably say good-bye to those I've known and loved, maybe confess my feelings to this one woman (though that wouldn't do her any good, so probably not), and just go quietly into the night.
  3. It's a bit overrated in my book. Of course it's not a bad film. In fact it's very good, but the reason why people set it above other Disney flicks is lost on me. I love alot of the themes that is present within the film (loss, redemption, not letting your past rule you), but the execution seems lacking. I don't know, I mean I enjoy it when I watch it, but it's not as great for me as it is for others.
  4. Feels good to finally catch up on some RPs. <3

  5. @@Rainbow Eclipse As Sojourner started shuffling things around in her tent, she glanced towards Riley. Going by the look on his face he might've misinterpreted what she meant earlier. Chuckling, she settled down with the forward half of her body outside the tent. "So, Riley, what do you expect to come of tomorrow? As I said that is when we begin our main training, but I'm curious as to what you think is ahead. Also, we're not going to sleep yet. It's not THAT dark out," she said with a smile.
  6. Considering this doesn't have much to do with the show itself or the fandom, I'll go ahead and lock this. I will link to this though. http://mlpforums.com/topic/114541-offering-oc-help/ Consider it an OC help thread. If you have any questions in regards to OC characters or the like, just have a look in "Creative Resources." You should find the help you need.
  7. Absolutely SPOT ON! One of the best qualities of the show is that we witness each character grow and mature in their own way. Through each season they've had to deal some sort of adveristy and have shown that they can indeed grow & learn. I honestly can't add anything more. Well said!
  8. No. You. Period. >:[ Although the prospect sounds very tempting...

It moved all over my feed, too, so there's more out there if you want to hunt it down, lol.

  13. Guys, we're over the 1750.00 marker. You guys are simply amazing. So proud of you. <3

  14. Our glorious king in all of his wonderful majesty.
  15. Honestly, I do think Shimmer is VERY attractive in terms of personality & all. The character we saw in "Rainbow Rocks" was a lady who was trying her utmost to put her past behind her (in spite of her friends), stay humble, and be strong when the time called for it. She put in a LOT of effort in the redemption of her character, and that is something I admire. /swoon
  16. Considering that the original question has essentially been answered and that the thread is veering off-topic now, I will go ahead and lock this discussion. Thank you, and pleasant days.
  17. Yikes; my respect to you then. That pains are quite understandable in that case. >_<
  18. Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm gonna have to put Shadow of Mordor to the side. I can't help but think I'm approaching it all wrong and that's why I'm constantly getting my ass kicked.

Honestly, I really liked the idea at first. I thought it would be interesting to see how the orc army would progress in case Talion was killed, but it seems kinda cheap when three captains and dozens of Uruks can easily gang up on you while Caragors also bite your ass. And honestly, as much as I liked the combat, it doesn't seem to have the flow that it should. Geez, sounds like I hate this game when I don't. XD

Oh, that's the truth! XD Assassin's Creed games are sorta like that with me. XD Ah well, I got some other games to try out anyway. :3

  19. Guys, let's remain civil here. I'd like to keep this topic open for anyone curious about the fic. I had to hide some posts. Let's just keep the idea of the topic at hand. If you feel the need to discuss the fic, then do so without resorting to insults or provocation; thank you.
  20. If you want some opinions on the fix, it MIGHT be worth your time to check out this thread: http://mlpforums.com/topic/82719-fallout-equestria-what-do-you-think-of-it-spoilers/ Be sure to use the search function; it can be handy. Of course watch out for spoilers, but most seem to really like the fic. I've never read it myself as I don't have the time to devote to reading fanfics. However, it comes recommended from a number of people.
  21. Ditto, though if the Enterprise redesign got the ire of many classic Trek fans, it shows that subtle changes are sometimes a difficult thing to accept when first introduced to them. I can accept that, but considering this thing is little more than a teaser, it's a bit unfair to target it. Honestly, I'm curious not only about the lightsaber itself, but the person wielding it. So much to be interested about; if you ask me.
  22. Well lazy writing might be an issue with that as well. Honestly though, I kinda doubt that Spike knows Pinkie Pie any better than the rest of the Mane 6. I mean in the situation you mention, Twilight has a point. And admittedly, Twilight was also overthinking her own strategy while the rest were just going with it. Spike was just being practical. Not to mention the real Pinkie didn't help her cause by being depressed through the latter part of the episode.
  23. NASCAR; and probably racing in general. I mean, I used to be a BIG racing nut, and I tried to watch everything I could. NASCAR, IndyCar, F1, NHRA, WRC, Aussie V8s, Le Mans, DTM, BTCC, WTCC; anything. Now...well, I'm burnt out, and I can't watch NASCAR without...not caring one single bit. I still like some things about it like my current fav drivers Kasey Kahne, as well as rookie Chase Elliott, but...I just can't watch it without going meh. Honestly, about the only bits of racing I care about are Dakar, IndyCar, and WRC. That's it.
  24. To be fair, if we're going to be logical about this, Maud is more than likely the one to really understand Pinkie; especially if we consider the fact that they're really close as sisters. If we were to look outside the box that is the Pie family, then we may have some more interesting ground to tread. I wouldn't include Cranky because while Pinkie did a HUGE favor for him & all, I doubt that would make him understand her any better. Likewise, Discord is pure chaos whereas Pinkie is just random. Discord might get a huge kick out of her, but the only pony that ever really tried to trust him was Fluttershy. Now you may have something with Cheese Sandwich; especially considering how is was she that inspired him at that early age. That would indicate they have plenty to share in regards to personality, so I'd say it's possible.
  25. Oh yes. And I do mean YES. Honestly, I'm a very mellow guy. Probably, a little too laid-back at times, but it usually takes a lot to really get to me. When I'm gaming...well, if something frustrates me enough, I can get pissed. Not often at all, but...sometimes...yeah.
