  1. I think you summed it up perfectly here. One way or another Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow are all established and have at least some sort of character foundation. Sombra, outside of the comics, never really had that. Celestia only referred to him as "a unicorn whose heart was black a night" and that's quite damming (in a good way, IMO). Sombra's actions in the season 9 premiere do much to support that. Now, Sombra is best pony for me and even I doubt we'll see him again, but you never know. I just have a feeling that the three aforementioned villains will have a bigger part to play in S9 when everything is all said and done. I will say tho; I'm happy he's being mentioned as much as he has been. Sombra obviously left quite the impact on Ponyville, Canterlot, and the Crystal Empire during his takeover. It does much to justify my love and respect for him.......careful how you read that.
  2. As long as there is a demand for it AND the con wants to be sustainable. BronyCon's problem was that they were losing funds while losing attendance while not downsizing to meet that trend. However, with other cons out there to fill that void I don't see it returning; personally. Anthing's possible tho!
  3. Going super casual for this; I don't look the best. ^^;
  4. Gotta say that the art-style looks quite stunning! In a sense I'm getting a "Korgoth of Barbaria" feeling from the violence factor, but it also looks a lot more refined here. Color me intrigued.
  5. I have Hulu along with along with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. I've had no complaints over the service and the selection is pretty good. That's about all I can say. :p
  6. Good lord it felt really good to see him let loose like that. Now, I can understand why some would be turned off by that conduct, but I can also see why he'd be a tad frustrated.
  7. In the end, I think the only romantic relationship I was in ended due to distance. Not just physical distance, but over the four years we were together in love, we just...grew a part. Not to mention that she had her own career aspirations and the both of us had to call it off. There's no hard feelings between us and she now has a fiance, so in the end I am happy for her. It all worked out good for her in the end and that's all I could ask for.
  8. Zipper was most certainly a-buzz with excitement; still flying in a quick circle above Thorax and Calor until the latter joined. Once the questions started Zipper slowed down so he could give a better answer. "Oh! Oh...umm...what to do on a ship? Well...I'll be honest; aside from work with being the ship's lookout, I...don't do a whole lot. I mean, I admire the scenery, especially at night, and...umm...I honestly don't know," Zipper answered in a nervous way. Off in the distance tho Zipper could hear the ship's horn sound; indicating that it was time to head out. "Oh! Calor, we better hurry! We have to stay on schedule! We're heading to Appaloosa!"
  9. This episode kinda touched me really, though I will agree the moral feels a tad repeated here. That isn't a bad thing as what matters in a case like this is general execution, and I feel that was pulled off without much issue. Overall, it reminds me of that Discord episode where he tries to change himself for a Fluttershy tea party, but unlike there where Discord should've known better, Yona is from a totally different culture that was isolated from ponies for quite a long time. Her actions and reactions here felt completely natural and I could invest my attention and interest into it as a result. While it's not my top fave from season 9, I really did enjoy it. And Yona is best Student 6. <3
  10. Chilling with some orange sherbert feels so right.

  11. It takes me about 2-3 hours to mow most of the lawn in one go, and that's not counting the weed-eating. We do have a large-ish property, but plenty of it is also rough and we have a sizeable hill. The mower I use is a 2017 Troy-Bilt Bronco riding mower, and the weed-eater is a Bolens. Do I like mowing the lawn? Honestly; no, but I don't complain as I'm the only one who can do it now in the immediate family. While it is a riding mower it can be pretty rough, especially on my back, and the weed-eater is worse. Weed-eating alone can take over 2 hours, so...yeah.
  12. I love Rarity of course, but I wanna see Yona in this. She's quickly become a favorite of mine.
  13. Yah know, now that bi-pedal anthro cats are a thing in the lore now it makes me wonder if Katrina could really be a thing now. I mean I'm not expecting that, but you never know!
  14. I'd be careful about letting a reviewer or critique influence your view on an episode. I fell into that same trap years ago with the likes of DigiBrony and Tommy Oliver. No offense to them, but they were quite critical of many episodes around the season 2-3-4 era and it made me question why I liked some episodes that were flawed. Took me a while to realize that flaws or not; I don't need deep reasons to love an episode or not. It's why I appreciate some of the current reviewers like Silver Quill, Firebrand, and Dr. Wolf for their more measured approach; even if they are critical. As it stands; I think season 9 has had an outstanding start. Both the premiere and Sparkle's Seven were great, and while Uprooted wasn't fantastic it left me quite satisfied.

  17. Just needed to say something now that the initial shock is out of the way. If you've tried to PM me with any commission or forum-related business, my family and I have been dealing with the death of my father from Tuesday morning, and he was already dealing with a strong sickness since mid-March. While I am sad I will be fine in the long-term, and I just wanted to let you all know what's up. I do love you all and I hope everyone of you are doing well.

Officially this won't be an actual leave of absence as I need some normality in my life, but I will likely be withdrawn, especially as dad's memorial service draws near.

My condolences, that is unhappy news indeed. All the best man, keep your chin up.

  18. The only reason they are showing just the nine is because those are the only episodes we have any details on regarding to title and/or synopsis. The rest will come in time likely gradually.
  19. Guys; just look at the sheer detail on this one! I mean the fur, horns, and...just everything! Source: https://www.deviantart.com/imalou/art/Creator-of-all-monsters-793887581
  20. AFAIK season 9 was confirmed to be a 26-episode season; at least going by various articles, but I'm confident this is the case. https://www.thewrap.com/my-little-pony-end-season-9-discovery-family/
  21. I'm incredibly depressed over this. I mean; you can't replace history and to see this...it's just so saddening.
  22. Some of you guys are making me feel old. >:c 1. Sega Genesis 2. Playstation 3 3. Nintendo Entertainment System 4. Playstation 1 5. Playstation 4/Nintendo Switch (basically a tie)
