To be blunt, these days it's probably because you can be kinda morbid. It's not something I mind ( I'm heavily so as well, ) but some people don't want to be saddened by those kind of conversations.

I know. I should keep it all inside and never let it out. It's because they are always happy. Always. What a wonderful life I would love to have. No worries or fears, lots of support. Smiles. Laughs.

No, you actually shouldn't. That makes it worse over time. firstly, people who are always happy usually are either jerks or went through long periods of suffering first. That's because hard times builds integrity and empathy. Also, if they turn away from you just because you are sad, they're fools in the first place.
