  1. I got one. Its called "Imdabes." The budget on this song is pretty impressive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVUyyHYkBHk
  2. I kept relating Troubleshoes to eeyore from winnie the pooh. His voice, his attitude and sad outlook on life, I couldn't not make the comparison. I wonder if that was a reference... EDIT: Also, it was nice to see the CMC help someone understand their cutie mark. That could be an interesting thing for them to do after they FINALLY get their cutie marks. Maybe instead of Cutie Mark crusading to GET a cutie mark, they could help ponies UNDERSTAND their marks. But then again, they are still a bunch of kids technically.
  3. I'm with you. Huh, its funny... I could tell this was a good episode, and that it was pretty sad...but I couldn't cry, and usually I'm a pretty soft dude when it comes to this stuff. Maybe I was too focused on the idea of weather warfare by Cloudsdale and stuff, but even without the feels for me it still seemed pretty good.
  4. My only regret is that I'm a brony and I don't have any friends nearby to talk about it with. A few times a month, I sometimes think about whether I should stay a brony, and the answer has always been yes so far.
  5. Wow, I just saw this one, and I actually thought it was really good! Dare I say it, this was the best nightmare story arc episode. The whole part about how Applebloom's shadow was the antagonist, how it was her own constant craving for a cutie mark (which shes been after since the beginning of the series) that was fueling her insecurities.... Wow... just wow.. I never expected something so deep from AB! The whole dreamscape feel of the episode was really well captured too! Not to mention Vinyl Tavi and Luna were all there too!!! I wish Luna had a more prominent role overall, but maybe in a later episode, well see more of her :comeatus:. Maybe her nightmare will be about her sharing power with Celestia again. Anyways, I thought it was pretty good..
  6. Yes It was a great start!!! I think this might be my favorite season opener/finale! I never thought mlp could so cleverly tackle this kind of topic. As for the stallions, their cuts were supposed to be the same, since they all want to be Equal. Many Dictatorship, Marxist, and other controlling/authoritarian governments in the real world have a list of "recommended" or "preferred" hairstyles which they want everyone to conform to, such as in North Korea. If you look closely, the mares also have simliar haircuts, though they have about 2 or 3 different styles still, all of them are very reserved/boring-ish (neither of those are the right words, but i cant find one that accurately to describes them.) :okiedokielokie: But you are right in that all the stallions (except possible double diamond and party favor) had the typical stallion model, but again, I believe this was to emphasize the sameness and forced equality.
  7. Meh, I guess this one was okay. -_- It kinda felt like a setup episode to me; just an episode to make the castle more colorful for the rest of the season. And i agree with all the others saying it felt like S1 again, they're her best friend for crying out loud! :okiedokielokie: They should know what she likes, though I will say the ending was pretty good, the whole Golden Oaks root-chandelier really hit a chord with me, especially in comparison to the rather predictable feel of the rest of the plot. I guess maybe I was looking forward to more feels during the entire episode. The song was also meh... It did the job, but its not really something to relisten to.. The humor on the other hoof, was pretty solid. Spike's Rarity doll and Bulk Biceps massages cracked me up! Twilight's Pancake-awake line and Pinkies antics in general were good. I give 6/10 Perhaps I set my expectations a bit high after that premiere.
  8. They need to finish the Samurai Jack cartoon series. That show was the bomb, and then they just stopped it halfway through. Also, I wish JanAnimations hadnt gotten that C&D.
  9. Im not a super big gamer or Steam user but Civilization V is fun. In fact, when you start, its downright addicting. And there are a lot of pony mods made by lots of users, including yours truly. Edit: that pic is not mine
  10. The Boulder feels conflicted about Starlight Glimmer's untold backstory...

  11. I totally know that feel. I have a sister who I'm really close to, and that song almost made me cry manly tears of compassion (ALMOST! ) I like to think I'm her BBBFF, and that song pretty much sums up our "siblinghood."
  12. I dont mean to be the rain to your analysis parade, but I think it was probably just the animators trying to show that there are a lot of cutie marks in there, without giving thought to the actual population of the village. I mean, the entire town supposedly came out to sing "In Our Town" but there were no foals or elderly ponies. And like you said there are only 12 houses, though in Starlights society, communal homes wouldnt be out of the question. Your theory about the deaths of ponies in the Town does make a lot of logical sense, however creepy. Anyways, MLP usually ends up disregarding true population pretty often. Ponyville is just a little town, but it gets a spot in the Equestria Games and actually wins somehow despite its supposed smaller population compared to Manehattan or Cloudsdale, both of which are supposed to be bigger in population . The Crystal Empire gets to host the Games despite just coming out of a 1000 year disappearance and has the title of Empire even though it seems to be just a City-State or maybe even just a small city (The empire thing always made me think). Anyways, I like your analysis nonetheless.
  13. Wow, its been so long, I almost didnt realize that she "escaped" too. Shes also due for a return imo. Not sure how thatll work though. I wouldnt like to see her reformed like Discord tho..
  14. Ugh, I just watched "Killing Jesus," more specifically, this really graphic whipping and crucifixion scene. I said some mean things, now I just feel terrible. I'm not even a Christian, but watching that was difficult to say the least.
  15. The typical Asian eye color : Brown.
  16. I agree. They let her escape for that very reason. She'll be back... the question is: When? Dun Dun Dunnnnn!!!
  17. 274860 Hope everyones ready for this new season!!!
  18. This link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmLlXiVsyqo Itll only be up for a few days though
  19. Well, the whole fact fact that Twilight references "Eastern Unicorns" or "Eastern Equestria" would imply that there is some kind of distinction between them and regular Unicorns/Equestria. It could just be another geographical part of Equestria, but the way she said it made it sound like she wasnt just talking about Manehattan and Fillydelphia ponies, at least not modern ones. Plus, I would think she would've covered them in her studies, but the way she referenced these other unicorns made them seem much more distant. My guess is Eastern Unicorns are some nation or group of Unicorns that never integrated with the Pegasi or Earth Ponies during the founding of Equestria. Maybe Mage Metalbrook is their leader, or their version of Star Swirl. I agree, there probably isnt a 9th. As for Starlight, I get the feeling shes part of something bigger. When shes monologging, she mentioned that "They'll finally understand what were trying to accomplish." It could be just converting all of Equestria to Sameness, but it could also be something far greater. After all, she did escape, that leaves her story pretty open ended.
  20. I think itd be great if she raised and army or something and faced the mane 6 and equestria at the end of the season. That might be too much to ask from the show, but then again they just had an episode about communism, so who knows? It could happen.
  21. That was great in my opinion! Then again, today was my first live episode, so itd probably be pretty awesome no matter the quality.
  22. She was VERY in character as a pony with "Simple Ways," so much so, she did not even notice that she made that dress. Or maybe she was overcome with the fact that AJ was the one wearing it. Or MAYBE she was too concerned about Trenderhoof liking her to notice. I mean, she went as far as working on a farm, changing the ceremony theme, and blowing off the rest of her duties as the designer to impress him. It wouldn't be too far fetched to say she was very distracted , all because "He doesn't like me because he has a crush on Applejack , even though I've had a crush on him ever since the beginning of time, and it's NOT FAIR!"
  23. I was riding in the car with some friends, trying to back to school from a hiking trip. We had my Ipod plugged in playing music and we were all singing along. It was great! Then, the current song, All Star (everytime I hear it I keep thinking of Shrek is Love shrek is life darn it!!!), ended, and the next song that came on was Moonrise a Symphonic Metal Opera, a 25 minute opera about the rise of Nightmare Moon. My friends, who by the way arn't bronies, but know that I am, ask, "What IS this?!" I'm feeling pretty awkward, and mutter, "Ummm...Its called Moonrise..." Theyre like "Should we listen to it?" "Well, if you really want to listen to a 25 minute metal opera..." "Nope, lets change it!" Weirdness crisis averted
  24. The power to be easily distracted by anythi...oh hey look, its the homework I'm supposed to be doing..
  25. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU'RE A GUY who like PONIES!!!?? YOU ARE SO WEIRD!!!" little did i know what the friendship could be... until you all shared its magic to me...
