  1. Oh you... Of course I'm gonna put time, effort, and emotion into it. I'm passionate about offering my appraisal of your singing. And, you deserve it. Love you too, bud' . (Oh joy! I'd love to hear that... it's like, one of my favorites! It will be a task, to decide how to go about doing it, though. If you have a hard time sorting through how to do it, feel free to discuss the options you had in mind with me in a PM, and I'll see if I can't help you decide.)
  2. Hmm... hehehe, well, how about Rosanne? *makes noise, points to tongue* --- On the opposite note, a show that many people dislike, is one that I actually like... Seinfeld. But, I'd hope we can all agree on one thing - Friends is awesome! EDIT: Just had to put this here:
  3. Mainly: 1. Linguistic 2. Music 3. Intrapersonal And, from the video in @Jeric's post: 4. Emotional Moderately, I probably have some Visual-Spatial, too. --- I feel these kinds of tests to be similar to the Myers-Briggs/Jungs Personality Type tests... They are not meant to define you, but rather, to give you leeway into a better understanding of yourself, and for others to better understand you. This "intelligence test" gives a broad range of categories for you to ponder about, and choose what types you feel you have an advantage in, and what types you feel you have a disadvantage in. Similarly, the Jung's Personality Type test has 16 types --- and there are how many people on Earth? Right. Therefore, it's a catch-all; not everyone's brain is going to function the same, even people with the same "types of intelligence" and "personality type" are going to be their own individual self, with some traits unique to anyone else. Nonetheless, it's not like those tests don't have any validity - they ought to have some, considering the amount of research that the makers put into making the tests. So, just know that, you're you. With that being said, these tests can help you out in the long run, if you ultimately use them to find true strengths and weaknesses. And, um, fwiw... I'm an INFJ.
  4. --- Anyways... hehehhh... If Pinkie's friends didn't respect her, I'm pretty sure Pinkie would show it. Besides... Think about the Maud episode. In the end, what was it they said to Maud? Oh yah - that what they all had in common was... That they all loved Pinkie Pie!!! Eeyup.
  5. Hmmm... well, to take a different spin on things here, rather than putting people who have since passed, I'll put living people: Laughter: Ellen Degeneres Generosity: Sandra Bullock Honesty: Clint Eastwood Loyalty: Mike Rowe Kindness: Ryan Gosling Magic: Morgan Freeman --- Btw, Jeric's post wins. Lol.
  6. Heheheh... Y'all can't just be so vague. (Though, Jeric's answer was perfect, lol.) Gotta put some meaning into this here rating system. So, here you go: 0 = not a brony, period. 1 = at the very least, there is a subtle interest there, but, meh. 2 = an interest is there, for sure, but is of little amount. 3 = curious, and likes the idea of the show, but still cannot be defined as a brony. 4 = very curious, and is avidly allowing MLP to have some part of their time. 5 = Pre-Stage 1 Brony, whether or not you want to be defined as such; you are one (or Pegasister, whatever you prefer, gals). 6 = Stage 1 Brony/Pegasister, and you like defining yourself as such, because you feel a strong connection to the fandom. 7 = Stage 2 Brony/Pegasister, and you love it. It's a part of your life, and your spending a good amount of your free time doing something that relates to the fandom, be it watching the show, being on the forums, making fan-made stuff, etc... maybe own merch. 8 = Stage 3 Brony/Pegasister, and nearly all, or just all of your free time is doing what is said above... maybe own merch. 9 = Stage 3+ Brony/Pegasister, all of Stage 3, and you do own merch. Maybe go to Conventions. 10 = Full Bore, Wide Open Throttle - You're the Final Stage of Brony/Pegasister - you revolve your life around ponies. I'm a 7; I'm a Stage 2 Brony. Much of my free time is spent here on the forums. I've watched the show, from S1E1 through the S4 Finale, like, 4 or 5 times through now (chronologically, because OCD). I love ponies. But, I do not own merch, and I haven't made any fan-made stuff. And, I have not gone to any Conventions. I'm actually still "in the stable" (closet-brony/internet-only-brony) IRL. --- Do you like my rating system?
  7. There are things in need of doing. Yet, here I sit - not wanting to do them; however, I'm bored as fudge, and I've listened to the same song repeatedly for half an hour. #WhereIsMyMotivation?

  8. Hehehhh... I've seen that before man... and while I enjoyed seeing him use that episode to compare them, like I did... I totally disagree with the reasons he is using - well, not all of them, but, most. I mean, he somehow manages to use the evidence he brought up to say "LOL they're 15!" WHAT? No!!! The evidence he was talking about much more closely matches the way I aged them. You graduate high school at 18, and by that time, you either: know where you're going; or you are already where you want to be, and are still progressing... Or, you might not be sure about anything, because the schooling system is so freaking stupid that we're shoved useless crap in our faces which waste our time and confuse us. Of course, there is leeway for more than just those 3 vague options, but, I'm just simplifying. The guy in the video clearly says that he thinks some of the ponies are in their life jobs, and are damn good at it. Which, is exactly... I mean, like seriously - exactly the reason I placed AJ and Rarity at 22, being the eldest ponies. Not 15, lol. And, it's also the biggest reason I placed all the ponies at the ages I did. I just get this intuitive vibe from the show that tells me that I think AJ and Rarity are the eldest; RD and Fluttershy are the middle two; and that Twilight and Pinkie are the youngest. Thus, while the exact ages I put them might not matter as much, I at least feel that, the comparative ages that I just said, are important. But hey, this is all my own opinion. In all reality, I bet you the guys and gals at Hasbro not only don't release official ages because it's truthfully not that important, but also because they probably actually argue amongst themselves about it, too.
  9. Uhh, lmao... I'm not sure what to think: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjCtHgNEcV0 - Is this too funny to be good, too bad to be funny, or somehow funny and good?

      WOW. Good stuff, lol.

  10. Do you sleep consistently the same, or do you suffer from an ever-changing circadian rhythm? My circadian rhythm is wacko... Some nights I can get 10 hours of sleep, some nights only 4... then there's the random (rare) fits of insomnia when I can't even sleep. Sometimes I go to bed at midnight, sometimes 3 am... and getting up in the morning is just the same way - sometimes I get up at noon, sometimes 7 am. Part of the reason might be my college class schedule, but, even still... I know there's more to it than that. Because sometimes I get up an hour before class, other times I get up 4 hours before class. How well do you sleep, and how healthy is your circadian rhythm?
  11. http://puu.sh/bp1hS/99e3f9f3a8.png --- well well well... At the tip of the iceberg right now. Who will be the one-thousandth viewer?

Nice Disturbed background you got there.

Had a friend in high school that was totally into them, even had DISTRBD1 (or maybe DSTRBD1) on his licence plates!

  12. Heh, I found the show in the winter of 2013/2014 - and... how exactly? Funny story... my friend [who is now my roommate] used to say "ponies" randomly in skype. Ironically, it was just his was of making a random interjection that meant "hey" - see, he's not even a brony! BUUUT... I was like... "wait, why you keep saying 'ponies' - isn't there like some tv show or something?" - he's all like "lol, no... I don't watch that. It's just an interjection I use to say hi." But, I then proceeded to let my curiosity run wild... I looked up the show despite him not even being a fan. And, after watching the pilot episodes, I was hooked.
  13. Adema's "Giving In" because it's what I'm listening to... and it always tends to echo in my head after it's over, lol. Gosh, sounds so much better in VLC media player using my equalizer, lol.
  14. I'm pretty patient. For now, music cures the itch. And, well, listening to it whilst being on the forums, of course! Currently: Korn - Issues [album] On deck: Adema - [self titled album] Just gotta stay calm, Rock On, and keep pony !
  15. Somehow I went from listening to this (like, lol, ten times...)

    to listening to this

HERE we go... Found a vid with a guy whose got an 03 expedition with the 5.4L - same engine as my 01 F-150 - and this shows what my truck sounds like, cuz he has the K&N cold air intake on it.

  16. I like movies starring Jim Carey (i.e. Ace Venture); Adam Sandler (i.e. Happy Gilmore; etc.); Nicholas Cage (i.e. City of Angels; Con Air; Gone in Sixty Seconds); David Spade (i.e. Joe Dirt)... I could go on with others. Tell me I have bad taste ...
  17. Hmm... Too many favorites. Hard to choose just a few. But, I'll randomly throw out some names... Fast and Furious movies, any of them. Inception. Halloweentown one, two, and three (forget that crappy fourth one, lol). Con Air. Gone in Sixty Seconds. City of Angels (yes, last 3 were Nicholas Cage movies, lol). Pretty much any Batman Movies, and other hero movies, too. Beetlejuice. Babe ("That'll do pig, that'll do"). Gran Torino. Spirited Away. Dukes of Hazard (*cue Dixie Horn... hahahaha*). Casper movies of the 90s. Hocus Pocus. The Lion King. Ace Ventura movies. Chronicles of Narnia. The Outsiders. Hunger Games *cough what?*. Ferris Buellers Day Off. A Goofy Movie. Drive [2011]. Elf. Joe Dirt *cough sorry*. Happy Gilmore. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Smokey and The Bandit. Independence Day. The Grown Ups. Die Hard movies. Scary Movie series (gotta love those parodies). Signs. Dr. DoLittle. Taken. Spy Kids (lol, yeah...). Premonition. Harry Potter (mainly the older ones). Maximum Overdrive. Christine. 101 Dalmatians. The Mummy. Pirates of the Caribbean (any/all). Tron Legacy Click. Starsky and Hutch [*sigh* the 2004 one, yeah, sorry, I know... I still haven't seen the original yet]. ... Seeing a trend? A mix of old children's movies [many Halloween based], movies with cars (I'm a gearhead), plus some other action/comedy movies here and there. Plus, some oldies but goodies are in there, too. Now, time for least favorites? Oooh... that's hard. Really hard. Vacancy [2007] - wow, that was one really crappy "scary movie" lol. 30,000 Leagues under the sea. Just... no... I don't even... why? (Wow, I can't believe I'm about to say this, but) Ghostrider... Lol, I love Nicholas Cage, but damn, that movie sucked. --- I bet y'all are like... "That's one crazy list you got there Miles!" Indeed, it is.
  18. Gosh, I don't remember if I've posted here or not. I don't think I did. If I already said this once, my bad, lol. Anywho... I'll try and keep this simple. Sophomore year of high school. One morning I threw on a pair of jeans from the day before. Would have been fine if I hadn't forgotten I'd left my pocket knife in a pocket (I was carving some wood for fun after school the day before). And, honestly, had that day been a normal school day, no one would have ever even known about it. Besides, in a country-town high school, though it was "against the rules" (obviously), I've seen many a guy with his blade in his pocket (standard pocket knives, nothing crazy, lol). BUT... we had a field trip, heh. My Social Studies/History class was taking a trip up to the museum in Chicago (I forget which one, but meh). So, being me, Mr. Honesty, lol... and since I knew her well enough anyway... I went up to one of the bus drivers before we left. She was a nice women anyway, so I didn't feel like I'd get in trouble. I just said "Hey, I'm totally sorry about this, but I forgot that I had my knife on me, and I don't wanna get in trouble for having it in the museum" (paraphrased of course). She was totally cool about it, said "No problem, I'll keep it in my purse for you til we get back home." Well awesome! Er.... wait... no... because she didn't. She gave it back to me on the ride home (back to school that is), but not right when we got back... and the kid I was sitting next to - I wasn't sitting next to him out because he was my friend; I never liked him anyway - before I could sit down, and slide the knife back in my pocket, he grabbed it from me, and stabbed the bus seat. Then gave it back to me. Wow. Thanks. That's fu--ing awesome. But wait, it gets better! Across from me, on the other side of the bus, sat someone who I'd thought to be a friend. He asked to see the knife. Lol, well shoot. I knew him. I didn't think he'd do anything bad. Besides, what else did I have to lose? Nope. Because he did the same thing, slit the bus seat. That's just great. Awesome. Now, my knife had been used twice to cut the bus seats... Amaze-balls. I was worried as heck that night. Wondered if I'd get in trouble... Next morning, there came the principal... I was just chilling in the lobby before the first bell rang (what everyone does/did at my high school)... "Come in my office" ... Long story short, eeyup - two day suspension. Well yee-freaking-haw, there went my rep as a "good kid" for a while. What was worse was the walk of shame of going to the teachers to get my homework for those 2 days. They, like everyone, were in shock. Me? I got suspended? What!? What in tarnation? Yah, no kidding. Then I had to face my parents. Dad was all like "Them other two f---ers had better gotten it worse'n you did." Baahahaha... Sheeit. I was afraid he'd be ticked at me. Well, he wasn't that bad. Nope. But mom on the other hand... woo-eeeh... She was boiling hot. "What the hell were you doing with a knife on you in the first place!" Gosh mom, sorry! Can't a guy carve some wood for fun? "You're grounded for two weeks. Now go do your homework." Yikes. I kinda cried a little out of shame that day. But, hey, now I can look back in laughter. Because, in the end, I graduated high school 6th in my class with a 4.05 GPA out of 4.0 - yes, that's right, over perfect. And yes, only 6th place, lol, I had some nerdy friends... They beat me. I only got a 24 on my ACT test, but that's decent. Ended up still getting partial scholarship for college. And now, I sit in my dorm room, as a sophomore; a comp-sci major, with that same knife in my hand, laughing... Good times.
  19. LOL... here's a rare occasion - Miles posting a link to a pic of Pinkie... http://littlegreenfrog.deviantart.com/art/Pinkie-Pie-290530713 --- but those finger-less gloves though! So much win...

  20. Verbosity, as well as intuition, at their finest have allowed me a good leeway in the amount I need to actually "study" for certain subjects. Providing a seemingly solid structure of understanding of a subject usually only requires one to only know an adequate amount, not an extensive amount about the subject - IF, that is, one has the ability to use enough intuition to be able to come to certain conclusions, and the ability of being a good writer. If you are blessed with intuition and verbosity, basically, writing about something to prove your worthiness of a good grade comes naturally. But, unfortunately, math is not one of those subjects. Numbers are a totally different language. Other subjects, though, hehe, can be fulfilled in the likewise.
  21. Hmmm... Let me first say, I'm just a gen 4 (FIM) fan anyway - not that I have anything against the older gens, but, starting out at gen 4 and going back... lol, I can't do that. Therefore, I will just go back to late 2010 when FIM was just starting up (in this fun hypothetical situation). Note: IRL I started watching FIM in the 2013/2014 winter, becoming a brony in early 2014, and a member of this site in the summer. Me now = 19, (I'll be 20 in 2 weeks). We'll use "cm" to mean "current me." Me at the time when FIM was just starting up = 16. We'll use "om" to mean "old me." *88 miles per hour* *asdfasdfadsfasdf* *somehow it worked* cm: Hey kid. om: Uh, hi... who are you? cm: I'm you, 4 years from now. *Because time travel has been a part of my imagination for a long time, I'd already know exactly what how to respond* om: *gasp* No freakin' way! Okay okay, so... Prove it. *and here I would say a great number of things, many of which long self-kept secrets, etc... to name of a few lesser secretive things here:* *(because it's self knowledge, the way I would say it would be list form, and no explanation):* cm: *Random peoples middle names* Warren; Leigh; Micah... om: mhm, now something more... cm: Swingsets. 4 of them. Each having their own meaning. I know you know, so I'll just say; the first - between your house and her's (she was like an older sister to you). The second - McNally; bike rides; games that you wished lasted longer. The third - wood chips... you know. The fourth - Pokemon Cards... You know damn good and well all of that had more meaning, and you know I know, that I know. om: Wow... it's really me. YOU are ME! So, what is the goal of your mission in doing this? cm: That's the spirit, kiddo. I have a few minor things, and one big thing. First, the minor stuff. om: okay, I'll grab a pen and paper. cm: Good thinkin'. First, speeding tickets. You got two of them when I was 17. First was at Big Creek Park, with Caleb. You can avoid this by not blasting your damn radio, and paying attention the the f---ing speed limit signs. It's a 20 zone! NOT a 30 zone! Shit, you were going 42! Slow the hell down. The second, though, wasn't your fault really, but, nonetheless, take this in mind - on Broadway (*a street*) at night, even if there's no headlights in either direction, doesn't mean there won't be a cop hiding on the side roads. Stay at 30, don't go ever it. om: *laughs* Thanks. That'll save some money. So, both tickets I got in town? cm: Yah! So, if you're gonna speed (and you will, lol) do it on the highway. Just remember, 9 your fine, 10 your mine; but even still, if your gonna set your cruise, keep'er at 62 when there's traffic. If the road is as barren as a desert (*that happens between country towns sometimes*) and there are no cars, just know where the cops hide. om: Suh-weeeet. cm: don't get cocky though... om: wow, why so serious? cm: You wrecked your truck when you were 18. om: Fuuuuuu..... cm: You were lucky... You didn't get hurt. Ironically, it wasn't even because you were messing around. You were just chillin on some back roads to music, after you watched the demo derby at the fair. Then, you fell asleep for a split second, woke right back up, and slammed the brakes because you were going 40, and you were 15 feet from the Stop sign where the road hits a T on Dickson Mounds road. You smashed into a hedge post, luckily on the side of the bumper, thus, pushing the momentum sideways, where you slid to a stop in a farmers bean field. om: *jaw dropped* cm: Because of the cost to fix it; they nearly just totaled it, but mom was nice enough to get a second quote from someone else. om: *speechless* cm: So, basically... just go home after the demo derby. There's no need for you to be driving on the back roads at midnight, when you can't even tell if you're tired or not. om: *hugs current me* cm: *hugs back* om: that all? cm: Oh, right - one more thing... You will come to like the show My Little Pony; Friendship Is Magic. om: What the fu--!? cm: Chill, kid. You will learn with time that the high school you is going to change as he becomes a college student. You become more open minded. But, don't force it. Let it happen naturally. om: whatever. cm: *smiles* *88 miles per hour; poof; session over* om: well... that was crazy... *Old me would continue to ponder what just happened for a good long time. But one thing I have always had a part of me, and still do, is curiosity... curiosity is what actually got me started IRL with this show. Old me's curiosity would have ignited, and would have started looking at stuff about the show, eventually probably watching it... There's one problem, though. Old me... had a life with better things to do. Current me - College me... the version of what really happened... is how I am glad it actually happened. I wouldn't want old me to start watching it in high school. My mentality was different then. So, to end this explanation of a hypothetical situation... I'll just say that, I'm glad for the way things actually happened. Not this fake situation. Even though it'd save me some trouble, I needed to learn those lessons the hard way. Experience gives wisdom... second-hand words not so much.
  22. Funny you should mention [this]. Heh, months ago... like, back in April, actually, I created something of a compare and contrast essay about the ponies' ages. At the time, I was still very much new to the fandom, but as I now look back and read the essay I wrote (for myself, I never actually did anything with it), I'm surprised at how much I still [now] agree with what I wrote [then]. I mean, since then, I've become much more knowledgeable of the show and fandom at large, but yet I can still find the logic I used in that essay to be respectable. So, if y'all promise not to claim it as your own, I'll upload it. Besides, nobody else but me would have read it if I don't show it to you guys. So, as long as you can credit me, (yeah, just say "Miles") with it, do with it as you may.
  23. Mirror, mirror, on the wall... who's the smartest ponies of them all, less the one who is named Twilight Sparkle. Oh but don't you already know, the question you ask is both leading and misleading... Yes, indeed, this is so. Shall we thus define a narrower bridge for each to cross? Yes, we shall, with the exception in mind. Book-smart; street-smart; natural wisdom; uncanny wisdom; and humbly most trustworthy of a confidante. And first just of the Mane Six, then just of the rest of them all. A properly asked question this time around, I now shall give these answers aloud: Rarity; Rainbow Dash; Fluttershy; Pinkie Pie; and Applejack... Cherilee; Discord; Celestia; Big Mac; and Luna... Thank you, with best regards, you may now return away. With pleasure. Until next time, keep up the taste for knowledge, for I'll ensue the answers you wish to find.
  24. A tip of the hat I shall entrust to you, my friend. 'Tis with honor that I may congratulate you of your new-found position. I have always looked up to you anyway; as a fellow so kind, mature, thoughtful, and warm-hearted, you deserve that. ~ God Bless ~
