  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3l4XLZ59iw Wouldn't it be great if this could be used as an alternative to having real voice actors for things like animations and video games? What it should also do is edit things like tone, speed, and emotion, as well as crying, screaming, laughing, etc. There could be libraries of different people to manipulate their voices.
  2. Friar Tuck would, without the Sheriff's minions.
  3. I just hope it doesn't end up like Thundercats Roar.

    movies/tv Tundercats Roar

I don't really watch Thundercats, but goddamn...
  5. Today's episode was yet another fantastic example of a character driven story. We got to see more of Celestia here and it went even deeper into her relationship with Twilight.
  6. I believe that FiM is a perfect example of a show that does a great job of going into both character driven and plot driven territories. Much of the show is character driven, but the two-parters (and occasional single episodes) are plot driven. It's great how a show can make character driven stories so entertaining to watch, as well as making you think of the possibilities of plot driven scenarios for the characters.
  7. I'm sure there are plenty of writers in the fandom who are into making engaging stories. like for example, there's the comic Recall the Time.
  8. What genres of fiction are you into? I like action, horror, fantasy, and sci fi.
  9. Let's say the fandom worked together and made a fan movie that would rival the official movie quality wise, also using Toon Boom Harmony, but being hand drawn instead of rigged. If there would be such a thing, what would you like it to have? After watching the new Avengers: Infinity War trailer, I think it would be amazing if a full length fan movie had an epic scale. There would be humor, drama, action, adventure, emotion, suspense, intrigue, and some even darker scenes. Would have even more characters than in the official film, and not just having an original villain and at least one sub-villain, but also including Chrysalis.
  10. One fic I'm currently reading is The Redemption of Tempest Shadow. It's pretty good, and I think that'd also make a great animation.
  11. If there were some fanfics that you wanted to see become animated (and I'm not just talking about being animated with the Flash puppets that everyone uses, but purely hand drawn, frame by frame), what would they be? Ones I'd like to see become animated would be MLDC Next Generation: Know Fear! (a Green Lantern crossover with Kilala's characters about griffons invading Equestria) and Black Feather (about adult Nyx in a proto-Fallout Equestria setting).
  12. Here are some interesting tropes that describe this. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GenreRoulette http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GenreBusting

  14. There's one fic I read that's about griffons conquering Equestia and has intense action scenes, as well as some slice of life and romance bits.
  15. Pretty much. What's so great about it is that while there are many prolific writers and novelists out there, you're likely to find a story that's just as good as (if not better than) theirs by Joe Schmo at the gas station.
  16. Ok granted, at least they're not charging for extra save slots (looking at you, Konami).
  17. Yes, which is why it's important for certain stories to have many shades of grey. Look at the show Game of Thrones (and the books it's based on) for example, you got compelling death scenes, romance subplots, tensions between characters, political intrigue, conspiracy, occasional comic relief (most notably the "shitadel"), fast paced fight scenes, epic battle sequences, and not to mention loads of sex scenes. You want your readers and viewers to have a good time and not have your story just be the same thing throughout.
  18. Depends on who's writing it. If it's done by a good writer, then it would make for an engaging experience.
  19. How do you like fanfics that have a whole slew of different moments in them? Like for instance, one fanfic that's slice of life based could have things like humor, drama, romance, a saucy makeout scene or two, and some heavy scenes of emotion. Another could be an adventure based story with humor, action, mystery, suspense, some dark and even grimdark moments, some emotional moments, and a romantic subplot. It's stories like that that make me love ponies so much, because stories with them can have so much variety.
  20. Apparently the game's still quite buggy, wonder how long it'll take them to correct that.
  21. This kind of shit wouldn't fly in the triple A gaming industry.
  22. Just like how Freedom Planet is still part of the Sonic fandom culture despite it later departing from the Sonic lore like was originally going to be affiliated with.
  23. It's pretty much the same case with Freedom Planet. That game's major player base is Sonic fans, while this one's is Bronies.
  24. I'm with Califorum and Sparklefan. I want to see something fresh and new, having a new world and new characters with more unique personalities.
