ive had Korean curry, i like spicy if its to complement taste, and Korean curry is good, but at it's hottest it's needlessly hot. you start sacrificing taste and making it hot just to be hot

Ever try Japanese food and sweets. They really are a bunch of culinary artist, it's some pretty good shit. They use a bunch of crazy spices with their fish, and so many sweets they have use the weirdest ingredients, but it comes together in the most satisfying way.

But I really like spicy foods. I don't like red peppers though, not because they're spicy, but because I don't like the taste itself, they're very bitter-tasting to me.

Sorry for the rant, different cultures are just really intriguing to me

@Tacodidra Probably. I'm only really used to spice being added later through chili sauces of various degrees, with the addition of sour cream to make it less spicy, which is what I do whenever I have chili con carne.

@The Recherche Yep. Spicy food when made well enough can be really good. I love a bit of spice!

@Jade Fire I understand. Personally I feel like food is one of those things that require a lot of moderation to fully enjoy. A meal cannot be too spicy, too sweet, its gotta have flavour to it, etc... I like spicy food but at times it can still be a bit overdone.

@Altastrofae I haven't tried any Japanese sweets but I have tried some other Japanese foods. They do seem to really like making good food and I have yet to try something I don't like from there.
