I assume not being in a relationship is easier in a way... I've never been in one myself, but I've seen too many that didn't work out...

I have been there. I dated a girl until I heard from a friend of ours that she didn't like me in that way. When I confronted her about it, she said she just didn't want to hurt my feelings by turning me down. Being honest from the beginning would be been a lot better than leading me on for almost a year. 

@Rikifive Yeah, both situations do kinda suck. 

@Tacodidra Coming from someone who's been in relationships, being single usually gets easier assuming you can easily get over a failed relationship or accept that a potential crush does not like you in that way. Both things which I have struggled with and still finding help for. 

@Twilight Luna oof. I usually had girls that at least told me they weren't interested, but then again, I've always found honesty to be an attractive trait in women, not sure why. That said, I do still wish the girls I had crushes on, as well as anyone else I might like could just honestly say whether or not they're dating someone when we meet and I can get over the crush quickly, or just say they're not currently interested in a relationship like I just did. I don't mean to offend any female on this site, especially if they're my friends, but, ladies, why do you rarely let us gentlemen know this stuff when we first meet? /rant
