He had a thick cockney accent, which was understandable given his "butcher of Trottingham" alias. "Bah! Right then, I'll be stayin right here if this gonna be a fix. Big Shot said he'd let us fight our way to freedom. If he wants to fix this scrap 'imself, he wont get scraps from me." Cumulus sat down like a pouty child with his hooves crossed. Garnethoof scowled at Cumulus. "You agreed to act as captain." "Someone else go!" Cumulus spat. He opened an eye at Garnethoof and scoweled, "And don't you ever tell me what to do!"Garnethoof inched further away at the glare Cumulus gave him. It was clear from the altercation that Garnethoof was intimidated by Cumulus. "Fine..." Garnethoof said through gritted teeth. "Who wants to step up, then? The first can be captain." Zerra stepped forward and made eye contact with one of the guards. The chain around her neck was released and she was able to walk onto the ring. "Alright, after a brief debate, it looks like Zerra Stormblade is going to act as captain for Team Lockdown." Topaz announced. "Now for Team Lotus to send up their captain."

Unfortunately the tournament has been going on for a while. I may come up with some small things you could participate in in some PMs, but major roles are taken up. They can have any equipment you want them to have, as long as it isnt OP

@Snow Frostflame The diamond dog narrowed her stance and raised her weapon. Interrupting their fight was likely a mistake. It seemed the two were interested only in fighting each other. They still might. Taking the first move, she sprung forward on the heel of her left leg and swung at Draco, but she swung too early to actually hit him. Or so it seemed. When she sliced the air with her sickle, it sent an invisible horizontal burst of energy in the direction she was swinging. If Draco was instinctive enough to dodge, it would likely remove a few hairs at least. @Unicorncob @reader8363 @Dynamo Pad "And in this corner, we have the badest of the bad, the proven killers, team Lockdown!" Topaz announced. The doors on the opposite side of the stadium opened, revealing all five members of team Shining Armor showed them. There was Patchwork, the blue unicorn mad doctor with facial piercings and scars, Zerra Stormblade, the yellow pegasus mare who was surprisingly the tallest of the group, Garnethoof, the bulky earth pony with heavy scarring on the left side of his face, the unnamed ghoulish looking pegasus with sallow cheeks and hazed over eyes, and Cumulus Daybreak, the young, tan pegasus with red hair. However, they were all chained together by the neck with two royal guards standing on either side. The guards walked with them as they stepped through the doors.

They could make out a few confused questions from the crowd. "Hey, where's the rest of their team?" "Why are so many teams showing up to fights with missing members this year?" "Look at them! Rose looks dead already! I paid to see a fight!" "This is perfect! We'll definitely get to see Lotus lose now!" "But I wanted to see all five of them die! This is a ripoff!" "Right um..." Topaz attempted to explain. "No reason has been given for the absence, but those of you who are glued to your TV screens may notice that Snow Frostflame and Draco O'Malley are missing from the Team Lotus line-up." Rail was observing the match in the stands, sitting among the regular patrons instead of his private booth. Of course, he still had a lit cigarette in his mouth, a habit he never cared to kick. "Ah, there you are, Rail!" a stout earth pony in a purple blazer said, walking down the stairs toward Rail. He was Big Shot, the owner of team Lockdown and one of the committee members who worked with Rail. Big Shot stood next to Rail with a confused expression. "Why are you down here with this... rabble? You have a private booth! I was looking for you in the suites and then I finally find you down here!" Rail removed his cigarette and exhaled a cloud of smoke. "I had an unpleasant experience with one of the fat cats here during Lotus's last match, and I wanted to avoid that happening again. I don't like those stuffy high rollers up there. They always pretend to know what's going to happen. The fans down here don't pretend. It's more exciting that way." "Well, what do you think of my little gambit?" Shot asked gleefully, but he didn't give Rail time to answer. "I haven't even finished yet! I have plenty of more tricks to pull! It was obvious from past performance that without Draco and Frostflame on their side, Team Lotus would fall to pieces! Then Rose shows up already injured! I didn't even have to do that, they did it for me!"

The dog watched Frostflame run into the trees, shielding her eyes from the flash. She half expected frostflame to attack draco instead of her allies, but it seemed he made a different decision. @dragon4111 The diamond dog turned her attention to Draco and raised her sickle. "Looks like I have you then." She said, slowly sidestepping to Draco's left while keeping her eyes focused on him.

@Unicorncob @reader8363 There was no longer any hope that Draco and Frostflame would show up. As the minutes went by, Jade, Rose and Dynamo had to face the reality that they would be facing this round with only three fighters, one of which was greatly injured. They could hear Topaz's voice penetrating the thick walls. "Alright fans, the festivities are about to start and this is one you don't want to miss!" Tricis considered Pad's request. "He was a little like you, and a lot like Jade. He had a strong sense of right and wrong and an indomitable resolve. He was also a childish fool who didn't know how to accept that life isn't perfect." A few more minutes passed while Draco and Frostflame were occupied fighting the mysterious mercenaries, and the large doors opened in front of Jade, Rose and Pad, revealing the raised concrete stadium once more as Topaz announced, "In this corner, we have the tough-as-nails team Lotus!" Followed by a shower of boo's just like before.

I'm fine with snow playing however he wants. I was in a rough mood this morning that had nothing to do with this.

I really think you should reconsider. Not only are these a lot stronger than your average bandit. This part of the RP was designed so that you and draco would have a reason to stop fighting. Plus you told me specifically that you wanted a chance for frostflame to feel more vulnerable. Here it is.

he should really be feeling vulnerable right now. He has no powers and hes fighting four people with powers. And now he's choosing to fight five? I really don't want frostflame to get killed off, but this is probably going to get him killed off.

You might as well just keep making this easy for us." @reader8363 @Unicorncob "Do you remember the conversation we had earlier about aking one question at a time?" Tricis asked, avoiding the question entirely. She looked up at the clock again. Ten Forty-five. Fifteen minutes till the fight started.

That's not a very good idea. Snow may not like Draco at all, but he's also intelligent right? He should know that especially in his current state with no powers, he's not going to be able to take out draco or these new enemies, of which there are four of.

@Snow Frostflame @Dynamo Pad It seemed one of the two other cloaked figures was tired of waiting for the ones called Joker and brain to attack and one of them jumped down from the trees. It looked like it might be a pony when it landed in its cloak, but then it stood up and a clawed hand grabbed the shoulder of its cloak and pulled it off, revealing a female diamond dog with blue tinted fur. She had a sickle in her other hand. "Sorry, my friends and I couldn't help but watch." @Unicorncob @reader8363 "Took you a while to pick up on that," Tricis said, looking up at a digital clock on the wall. It was ten forty-two. "Well, you can figure out a lot just from his name. There's no way he was born named Rokata, it's tough guy crap. It comes from ancient gryphon script, Ro is a base word for dormant, and Kata means demon, or monster. But I suppose I would be dodging the question to leave it at that. I'm a very old lady and I've known a lot of ponies in my time. I did know him before he was called Rokata, though I'm not sure if I know who he is now."

Also, I just want to point out that Tricis strongly hinted that she knew about Rokata's backstory earlier and it seemed to go straight over Pad and Jade's heads.

@Dynamo Pad @Unicorncob @reader8363 Jade, Rose, Pad, and Tricis gathered in the same waiting area they found themselves in the previous day. The white, empty room was filled with the muffled sounds of the unruly crowd outside. They were always riled up before one of Team Lotus' matches. Only this time, Draco and Snow weren't with them. It was only a matter of minutes before the doors would open and their fight would begin.

@Snow Frostflame @Dynamo Pad "Stick with the plan," One of the hooded figures said. He took out a circular watch and checked the time. Twenty minutes till eleven. "Their match is about to start, we must make sure they don't arrive. They suspect us, but they don't know how many of us there are. Joker, go play with them." @Unicorncob @reader8363 Tricis sprung up from her hoof-stand and landed on all fours behind the spike. "You're going to have to put yourself together now. It's time we head to the stadium. our fight with team lockdown is in twenty minutes." She looked up in the trees at Rose, "You too. You may not be in condition to fight, but we still might need you. The four of us should head to the stadium together."

@dragon4111 @Unicorncob @Snow Frostflame @Dynamo Pad @reader8363 Too tired to post right now but I will reply soon. I think the reason the RP has slowed down so much is because this section of the story is difficult to engage in. I'm training with cob and pad, read is healing and Draco and snow are kind of fighting but I'm not able to engage much in any of it. I'm gonna do some DM magic in my next post that will make it so that We're now a lot closer to when the next round of the tournament starts. After all, the tournament is what you signed up for.

@Snow Frostflame Out of curiosity, why doesnt snow want to fight draco right now?

@Dynamo Pad The figures jumped further back into a different set of trees, using the sound of the falling trees to cover the sounds of their movement. "We may not have to do anything at all." A different one silently commented.
