@Snow Frostflame @dragon4111 The knocking on the hotel door became louder. When she swung her scythe, it was blocked by the shadow creature that extended a tendril and easily caught the weapon. "I see. You're driven by emotion even more strongly than your fool of a father. It makes you so easy to play with," the stallion said. A burst of energy pushed Rose away several meters before slamming into one of the trees behind her. "But you aren't ready to play yet." The shadow creature shrunk behind the stallions back. "Go ahead and attack me again, idiot girl. Defy all logic." "Easy, it's because I used to be even more foolish than you are. And now an old mistake wants to make things personal and kill you in the process." Tricis explained vaguely. "I'm Rail," the stallion said, lighting a cigarette with a golden flip lighter. "I extended your invitation." "You give yourself too little credit. You possess an extraordinary will." Selene said, stepping around to Dynamo's right side. "You probably haven't even noticed, but I attempted to stop your heart from beating when you walked in here, and yet I couldn't. I wonder how you could get resolve like that from playing children's games."

"Everyone here knows your name," The unicorn explained. "I watched your team fight today. Though I, of course, knew about you before that." Selene stepped out from behind Rail and walked around to Dynamo's left side, peering at him with one eye. "Why are you frightened, I wonder?" She asked. "You may try to deny it, but your ability to feel fear is what makes you more interesting than your companions. It could be your greatest strength. Perhaps your body knows something that your brain does not." "Goodness, is he considered old now?" Tricis asked with a smile. She looked away from Canteen and stared up at the sky above the stadium for a moment. "It's good that you have him. You're no doubt going to learn some things that will change the way you think about me, but you should always have someone to look up to."

Was that so weird?

When her dome went down, she saw an earth pony with scraggly grey hair. He was very short, but there was a monolithic shadow creature behind him, making him seem much more imposing. The shape of the creature was beyond description, constantly changing. It was a vacuum of light, making it stand out even against the dark background of the forest as the darkest black conceivable. That creature had been aiding her dome. Rose felt that same sensation she felt earlier when team Rokata first appeared. Something in her body that was able to sense what she was dealing with telling her she has no hopes of fighting him, at least not in her current state. "I would have expected your father to be invited here," he said in a dark, slightly nasally voice. "I suppose he was simply afraid. Old men are always waiting to die."

@Arid_Blitz Canteen was still in the ring, though he could leave at any moment. Tricis was watching him while talking to Jade. "I never asked you about your old teacher, Jade. You think of him very highly." She said. Someone entered the bar behind Dynamo. Although at first, he wouldn't notice, he soon got that feeling again. The same one from earlier this morning when he saw team Rokata. "If I can be of any kind of help." He heard a male voice say behind him. It was a voice he hadn't heard before. Rail was standing behind him, the tall unicorn was dressed in a black suit. Behind him, he saw Selene, still dressed in the same robes and head cover that she wore when she fought yesterday. "Dynamo Pad, I'm a big fan." @reader8363 While Rose was focussed on seeing how long she could keep her shadow dome up for, she suddenly found it much easier. It was as if something was helping her. @Snow Frostflame @dragon4111 Frostflame and Draco heard a firm knock on the hotel door.

Not much has happened since wednessday. Just Arids fight.

@Dynamo Pad @Unicorncob @reader8363 @Snow Frostflame @dragon4111 The ending of the fight was met with bewilderment from onlookers. One of team Crimos was taken to the infirmary by a member of team Cleave and then the captain of team Cleave forfeited due to Canteen's strange powers. "Wow... can I just say wow?" Topaz announced, standing between the two diamond dog corpses. "That may have been another short match, but when you have splitting moves like that, a little goes a long way! Of course the winner, and final team to advance to round two, is team Crimos!" Tricis spoke loudly enough for Dynamo and Jade to hear her over the sounds of the crowd. "Dynamo, you should find Rose and get her back to the hotel with the others." She said to Pad, ignoring his earlier question. "I'm going to speak with Jade briefly and get back with you. Hopefully, frost and draco haven't resorted to killing each other already in the room, but we should check on them soon. Tonight will be a good time to prepare, but we should also rest soon so we can wake up early tomorrow."

So can you mention everyone in a post that summarizes what just happened in the fight because I'm confused too.

I wanted him to show off as little of his powers as possible and finish the fight very quickly and with only minor detail. Kind of like the first time you saw dr. ichigaki's team or team uriatogi fight in the anime. I had to rush him to get through the fight because our pacing was really slowing down and the fight really wasn't important at all. It was my fault for not explaining from the beginning that this was supposed to be a one or two paragraph thing that wasn't very showy and kept his powers a secret.

Blink and your eyes will miss it, Canteen just delivered a bone crunching kick to Vigil's jaw in what seemed like no time at all!" Topaz announced, "I only wish we had enough time to watch it on our instant replay machine! But this fight is far from over yet!"

Time to break out the jeopardy loop.

"Give me a break. It's just a cheap intimidation technique." Tricis said, sitting next to Jade in the stands. Her eyes narrowed at Canteen when he called her out. "It's unfortunate that I can't make good on his promise. He's not the pony who's going to be killing me." Topaz waited for seven fighters to take their places in the ring. "I don't know what it is with some of these teams not showing up with all their members, but it looks like this is going to be five on two! Aiden and Canteen versus team Cleave! Begin!"

The second set of doors began to lift open. "And in this corner, we have Team Crimos!"

@Arid_Blitz I told you to control Topaz so you wouldn't have to wait on me. :/

Well, yeah. It's fine. I wasn't actually upset.

She was standing in the center of the ring with one hoof raised high. "Three teams shave been gruesomely eliminated so far and only one more team can advance to the next round!" She pointed to the large doors on the left side of the stadium, and they slowly started to open. "In this corner, we have Team Cleave!"

If none of them post by tommorrow, I'll just post anyway...
