Yep. I think most people have without necessarily realizing it. Worth noting that "deep web" basically just means the parts of the web that aren't accessible via search engine.

I'll be honest the whole concept of Mary Sues irks me.
I'll put it this way: Why is it that so many Star Wars fans who grew up idolizing Luke Skywalker are quick to jump the gun on calling Rey a Mary Sue? Why can't she just be a badly written character, or why can't you just say you don't like the Disney sequels?
This is a rhetorical question mind you, I'm not looking for genuine answers, I find Star Wars in general quite boring.Point is, it was invented as a way to deride fanfiction writers who made very self-indulgent Star Trek fanfiction, usually women. I don't like the senseless cruelty in making fun of people who make self-indulgent fandom material, that's kinda the whole point of being part of a fandom. The fact that the term now broadly applies to (usually female) characters that you don't like that much makes the existence of it as a term and as a concept all the more irksome to me.

I could write an essay here on why the binge model is miserable, or I could just drop this really good Sarah Z video essay here and recommend everybody check it out :p

I finished Homestuck a little over a week ago and it's given me a lot, and I mean A LOT to think about. I won't get in to all of it, but the queer stuff specifically is interesting to me in like, how gender and sexuality is written in to homestuck in a way that simultaneously extremely thoughtful and well put together and yet totally intuitive. It's further expanded upon in post-homestuck content like the epilogues and HS^2, and it's all very intelligently written and interesting to contemplate. Basically I kinda adore how every character has a unique perspective on gender and sexuality that varies based on how divorced their upbringing was from human society on Earth and how their own species reproduces, I really don't think I've seen the fact of gender and sexuality being social constructs demonstrated so casually and succinctly in other narratives and I have nothing but high praise for how it's handled within homestuck.
I could write a whole essay going in to specifics but it'd be loaded with spoilers and keep me up for hours, but if any of you guys have the time and interest to invest in an 800,000 word titan of a webcomic, I couldn't recommend homestuck enough. And if you already have, hey, I'm down to chat in this thread about it.

It's interesting being genderfluid because you can observe and experience male privilege firsthand. Socially speaking it's definitely easier living and presenting as male than as female.

I own the game on Xbox but I could never properly get into it, no idea why. My brother and his girlfriend however have put tons of hours into it before, it was their main game for a good while. I love the music in it and its overall style, yet it never has quite pulled me in.
Fun fact: The development studio, Re-Logic, is located in my state, Indiana. One of the only major studios in the state. Was a pleasant little surprised when I found that.
Terraria's bar for entry is really high, but if you can pass it it's a really rewarding experience all round. I'd recommend giving it another shot on PC since IMO the game is a lot easier with a more straightforward control scheme on KB+M.

Is the question like, would you rather get shot or stabbed? Getting shot hurts a lot less so as long as I'm not getting hit anywhere vital, I'd rather do that.

Zuko from ATLA, Korra from TLoK, Catra from She-Ra, and Peridot from Steven Universe are probably my current favorites. I might be missing some.

Omori. I wouldn't call it underrated per se but it feels like it didn't get nearly the amount of attention it deserved.
Also the Metroid series, IMO it's Nintendo's best franchise and yet it seems like nobody really seems to care much about it.

Probably Fallout 4, also Inscryption is really nice for when I wanna shut my brain off.

Before the NSFW ban and mass exodus of users, I'd have said Tumblr. Twitter is the closest thing we have to that now but I absolutely loathe Twitter.
I guess I'd have to say Discord, if you can count that.

Also the entire Metroid series up to fusion, if we're counting games I've already played and beaten in the past.

RE1 remake, RE3 original, and Metroid Dread. Currently working on Omori, Inscryption, and Terraria 1.4.

Omori. I have a love/hate relationship so far. Love for obvious reasons, hate because this is probably the single most anxiety inducing game I've played in years and I have to take a break from it every half hour.

Just watched the first couple episodes the other day and I have to say it's pretty great so far.
You're in for a treat. One of my favorite cartoons of all time.
Anyone from when you joined the forums still around?

Maybe, none that I was friends with though. All the folks who were here from around 2012-2015 that I talked to are long gone at this point.
