    I became a Brony on April 14, 2014.

It was towards the end of Season 4. Now, I had heard about the show through multiple media sources and through other people and whatnot; however, it wasn't until that very day that I let my curiosity get the best of me.

My friend at the time had always mentioned that he liked horses. Of course, I thought nothing of it at the time. One day though, he decided to show me and a two other guys that we hung out with exactly what he meant when he said that he liked horses. Lo and behold, what he pulled up on Google was a bunch of images featuring the Mane Six and whatnot.

I knew right then and there that whatever he said next would probably determine what my favorite show would be for quite some time.

"It's not as bad as you guys think it is. Most people just see it as a show full of pastel colored horses that is only about 'The Magic of Friendship' and has little to nothing that would appeal to a guy, but they're wrong. It's really appealing. The design, animation, music, screenplay, and overall message is actually quite nice. The show actually teaches valuable life lessons that everybody should know. I mean..."

He continued to talk and show us pictures from the show. I was sceptical, as well as the other guys, but we didn't judge him. We listened to his reasoning and all said, "Alright, I'll go home and watch an episode or two if that makes you happy."

    So, we did.

Honestly, I never would have found myself sitting in front of my grandfather's television at three in the morning watching a show that I thought appealed to only young girls, but there I was, eyes glued to the screen watching the second episode of Season One. It definitely got my attention. Everything about the show just spoke to me, and I had no words to express just how happy I felt after the second episode.

The next day, I showed up at the school and told my friend that he was right about the show. Surprisingly, the other guys agreed that the show was good as well.

As the days went by, I found myself watching more and more of the show. Finally, after about a good month or two, I gave in to the fact that I was a Brony. I had drawn over twelve pictures by the time and had already gotten through the first two seasons. I felt quite accomplished for some odd reason.

It wasn't until my friend bought me a piece of merchandise that I went out in public, showing all who I truly was.

That's basically the story of how I became a Brony. Sure, it isn't the best of stories, but we all have our own experiences and they're never going to be the same. So yeah, I'm fairly proud to say that this is my story.
