This reminds me of a spawn of Nurgle from Warhammer. 

To me, when I hear abomination, I think of the abominations from World of Warcraft  

I think of eldritch abominations (lovecraftian) but those technically function differently so idk if it applies, unless nurgle is the eldritch one.

I see (love Lovecraft). 

Nurgle is basically one of the Chaos gods and he is the god of decay. A lot of his spawns look something like this. They also look a lot like Lovecraftian creatures (not necessarily fishlike, but like the massive.... weird all over the place organic beings, creatures).
