The anxiety I had when the pandemic began has returned to me recently. With the mass amount of new cases and so many people no longer taking it seriously at all, I have so much fear of my dad getting it. People en masse are simply making this entire thing worse.

@EpicEnergy With the way things are going we're probably just going to end up elongating the first wave instead of getting a second wave. I live in California and things have gotten out of hand due to us reopening way to early :/

@Megas Things would probably be much better if people just listened by staying six feet apart and wearing masks. When you have everyone crowding the beach though, especially when many of them not following precautions, it just messes things up and the coronavirus spreads. It's even in places like Walmart where I'm at, with several people all in one aisle not keeping six feet apart and most of them not even wearing masks.

Another problem is people feel the need to bring their entire families everywhere, especially when some places need to limit how many people are allowed in a building. I went to Gamestop the other day and they only allow 9 people, but people are going around trying to bring their families of 5-7 people everywhere. Like you guys couldn't have just hired a sitter?

Saw this through another person in Shaun King's Twitter feed. Every time police scare and brutalize protesters, they prove the public right. The police's response here perfectly exemplifies why the policing system needs to be defunded and its makeup cleaned up.

I mean Japan didn't even close down, they all just wore masks like adults and Covid was handled easily, barely had any cases over there. Meanwhile our country is so stupid we have people who deadass think the masks that doctors wear all day at their jobs is somehow dangerous. Or even funnier, they think its some ploy FROM SATAN HIMSELF. 

And Japan has the most populated city in the world. So that's a whole extra level on incompetence on our part.

In their entire run of Covid 19, Japan only had 969 deaths and 18,197 cases in total for their ENTIRE country. 

OUR blisteringly incompetent asses have 127 thousand deaths and over 2.5 million cases 

Not really sure if theres racism here or people are just ....too sensitive? Other people have different cultures... Some culture think of like "small"  racism (like calling dark skinned people black) is just a joke and nothing else. while some culture hates people calling black. In the Philippines we have a weird way of racism. We prefer or like/ to be half Filipino than to be pure... Because being half makes us more beautiful or handsome. But we don't consider it racism...i think.

I won't get into it since there's new rules, but there are indeed racists on this platform and they are way too open about it. Nothing to do with "sensitivity" there are a few on here that are just straight up white supremacists.

The problem with those comparisons is that the USA is more than twice as big as all of those countries combined in terms of population and area; therefore, to compare them with each other in terms of how many fatalities are caused by the police is unreasonable.

About 3.80 million square miles of land for the USA (source) and a population of about 328 million in 2019 (source).

About 137,846 square miles for Germany (source) and a population of 81.41 million in 2015 (source).

About 125,020 square miles for Norway (source) and a population of 5.20 million in 2015 (source).

About 130,558 square miles for Finland (source) and a population of 5.48 million in 2015 (source).

@EpicEnergy Okay so let us divide the 1004 fatalities in a single year by 2. That's still 500 fatalities in one year, and none of the other countries come even REMOTELY close to that. Most of these don't even have 1 fatality a year.

Even then, that isn't the right way to make that argument. Proportionately speaking by population, the US statistic if it had Germany's population would be around 254 fatalities per year, which is still completely insane, compared to Germany's 9 fatalities per year.
