If you've been naughty this year and you bribe Santa with all your cookies, you'd get presents instead.

@Splashee I'm glad Mega Collection on GameCube has the original music!
Ice Cap Zone is one of my favorite stages in Sonic, and the music plays a part too!
I've heard the replacement tracks, and I don't like them nearly as much...

@Tacodidra The music in Sonic 3 is a very complex subject.
Before this new prototype, the only thing we had was the final Sonic 3 version, which almost looks like a prototype by itself, if compared to Sonic 3 & Knuckles that was released almost a year after.
The music you are referring to was composed by Brad Buxer in the 1980 and is called Hard Times:
Sega is currently being sued by multiple companies for things involving Sonic 3, so no one can speak up about things. I used to talk to Jun Senoue back before all this happened, and he composed the bonus music for Sonic 3, as well as that lovely Act Clear jingle! He cannot talk about Sonic 3 anymore as well.

@Splashee Really late reply, I know, but what can I do?
I didn't know it was that messy.
The last thing I remember was when Buxer confirmed Jackson was involved (after years of rumors).
Having watched some of the prototype footage now, I have to take back my words regarding the original.
I still prefer the Jackson/Buxer music, though – especially "Hard Times" is so amazing, particularly the version used in the game.
