Well, I do agree with that assessment. Back when I was a kid, we would not mess with those much older than us. We would not mess with the 16-17 year olds as they could stuff us in snow or something. Nowadays, kids have phones and know to the extent that they can cause legal problems if they want (thank you nanny state). So kids are becoming more bratty than they were before because of the coddling they are receiving.

I do not think this will translate well into their future~

Not mentioning Saint Nicholas' companion, Krampus. Woe to any child who does not recite a poem or is not nice when he comes to meet them. I just learned this not too long ago, which made me like him even more because he reminds me of our asshole Yulelads here in Iceland :P

Plus, when I lived in Belgium I celebrated St. Nicholas alongside the Yulelads. Double win!

  11. My mom said that she could get me an internship at EA to learn about game development. Normally, I would gladly take this opportunity... but there are two, gigantic nails that seal the coffin:

A: Gamers nowadays believe that nearly EVERY game on the market is BAD.

B: EA is such a universally hated company, that working for them has "bad idea" written ALL OVER IT.

    In conclusion... RIP me. :(

I am going to lay this out to you like this since I am going to work:

People won't behave like brats if they find out that you ever interned at EA, for you will then have made a successful company of your own and they will judge your own games based on their merits and not on some previous experience from EA.

Secondly, don't let potential scenarios of people formulating negative opinions be what stops you from doing what you want or what you dream of. Remember, in the end, you are your own worst enemy and you are the one that stands in your own way of achieving your dream. Don't oppose yourself and allow yourself to follow your dreams and ambitions~

Any experience is good on a resume. No experience is worse. If you can get an internship with EA, you should definitely take it. If I were you, I would go for it~

  15. Some moron in a comment section was saying "if women want to be treated like princesses they should act accordingly" in reference to feminists.

She honestly thought that FEMINISTS want to be treated like PRINCESSES.

FEMINISTS, who basically want to be seen as equals to men in government and society, want to be treated like PRINCESSES.

  16. Have you seen the PonyLife trailers? what did you think? I must admit that at first it doesn't convince me much ... but I also admit that the mane 6 look adorable in Chibi style

my brother convinced me to draw Berry (my pony) in this style that personally reminds me a lot Teen Titans Go ... so now he called them MLP GO!!! :-D as far as I know it will be a series of animated shorts ... I guess something like what Pucca was in his time only that this will be related to generation 5 ... I have the theory that it will be something like those anime that put his chibi characters summarizing the previous chapter ... or is this the famous generation 5? Anyway I feel anxious to see what this will be all about.

By the way, I take the opportunity to warn that I Will submit the mane 6 in this particular style in the future, I think it is adorable, I will make time between my obligations! Until then I will leave this promotion of `` your pony version PonyLife for only $ 10 '' I must admit that I have fun drawing ponies in this style, it gives me a lot of ease at the level of expressions. :fluttershy:

Anyway, I hope to read your opinions about these new animated shorts, what do you think about it? :yay:

Some people might proclaim that, but honestly, they are stupid people who wish to drag other people down. Most people don't have time for such none-sense. They will judge the movies for themselves on whether they enjoyed it or not. Most people are not dictated on other peoples political opinions on whether they should go to see a film or not. It will usually be very few people who let politics be everything in their life where they feel they have to take a stand on everything. That is not what normal everyday people do~

  18. I honestly think game developers should just stop making games, because if gamers are just going to label a game as shit no matter what, then these whiny, ungrateful pieces of shit don't deserve new games. :unamused:

Usually, where I get my feeling for a general mood of a game is in public review of games on steam or in other areas where an overall view of the audience can be represented. Often, you might see some Youtuber rant on a game, but when you check the like/dislike ratio on said game, you might be surprised how many disagree with said Youtuber.

I don't know man, the videos exist. Glitches don't happen to everyone at every time. When I started playing Assassin's Creed Unity, I did not experience the glitches and bugs that many people pointed out, but there was still video evidence that suggested that they were there and it happened to some people. I was just fortunate that it did not happen to me, so I got good experience.

And well, I tend to focus a lot on the good reviews. I have a workmate who loves Cuphead and he even plays the music from the game for us while we work :D He has only very nice things to say about the game. So keep in mind, the good reviews are out there as well ;)

And if you make a game, understand this. Perhaps you make a mistake, perhaps people will point that out to you. Perhaps you can learn from it, so you can make even better games. But you will also have those who will see what you are doing and appreciate it and even show you that they love your game and try to cheer you on to make even more. Don't let naysayers keep you down, never do that, even if they may seem endless~

Ooh boy, I know that is just pure political drivel that you have just spouted there that is not based in reality. You could not be more wrong there. Trouble is that many SJWish film directors tend to churn out movies that focus too much on delivering some kind of a message, but fail when it comes to advertising. It also does not help when you are trying to talk down to a massive demographic, because that demographic will also be potential customers that you are just asking to snub your movies. I've yet to hear of a movie though doing badly solely because someone was an SJW without making it appear in the movie.

But we have seen massive success with movies that have a majority black cast like Black Panther. We have seen success with stuff coming out right now like Hazbin Hotel which is amazing as it does not have any corporate backing which a lot of people seem to think is impossible nowadays.

Most people just want to see something fun, something that draws them away from politics, not be dragged back into it. A lot of people are looking for escapism. Of course, sometimes films that are overly political and have a clear message can resonate with people like the Joker, but it is about finding that magic click with people.

It seems to me that you have a target demographic. And because of that, you are much more limited and have to go a bit more small scale. Like Hasbro in the beginning who targeted their toys according to strategy, boy stuff, girl stuff, for kids, you know. They had their ideal demographic and knew who they were pandering to, they were not trying to satisfy everyone. You could do something like that yourself. Of course that means what you might produce won't be as grandeur as big budget films, but at least you might still be satisfying your core target demographic~

I think you might be making an ant out of a molehill Avery. Like Shad said, judging all gamers based on a few people not liking games is not a good way of going about things.

And the point about hustling for every dime you have point that she made, I think she was referring to DLCs, microtransactions and other extra features which are either not part of the core gameplay or are sometimes required to get an actual enjoyment out of a game. I for one have a problem with my favorite strategy game developer, Paradox Interactive, who have been increasingly churning out half finished games only to rely on people buying their DLCs to make up for their half finished products.

Out of the games you listed, I never experienced anyone hating on them except for Fallout 76 which was very well justified. Just because you did not experience bugs, there are mountains of videos which show ton of bugs and glitches that have now hopefully been fixed. But the main controversy surrounding the game has centered around how the Bethesda Team and managers of that game have approached fans and customers with their product. The game had a massive PR failure and so it suffered heavily.

The worst thing I have ever heard anyone say about Fallout 4 is that it is not as good as Fallout: New Vegas. I love Fallout 4, I think it is a great game. Not a fan of the DLCs though.

I think it would help if you could point us where you are seeing such hatred for games coming from~

  23. This sounds bad from what Vivzie is saying, but I have never really understood COPPA or what it really was for~

(For Hazbin Hotel fans, Vivzie is concerned because Youtube has been marking her Hazbin Hotel video as being kid material when she has been asking them to take that marking off of her video. If you check out the Pilot episode, you can see that she has changed the name to include "Not for Kids")
