      hm, question, is it similar to any other (like norsk, sweden,..) or is it unique?

      It is mostly similar to Danish and German. The Icelandic language is the Old Norse language that Vikings used to speak (until Denmark basically took over Norway and changed the language so it resembled there's a bit more).
