Oh definitely, but that is in no way a defense for their case. Even if you don't believe in the violence yourself, trying to shut down your opponent who is protesting said violence is both hypocritical and damaging to your own case. 
I won't show a mild understanding to the reasoning as it is utterly stupid. The day they began calling gays "homophobes" and blacks "white supremacists" was the day I gave up on them. 

I never meant to imply I was trying to defend anyone, I am completely against all of this nonsense.
It seems like an ignorant hate of the other political direction making up for a majority of these protests from groups like antifa and BAMN. Those people probably have no idea what any of those laws are about but will fight for them simply because they are against the "racism" and "Islamophobia" of the other side.

BAMN and AntiFa are misleading young people who have no idea what they are even screaming for. But I do not for one second believe that they are idiotic enough to ignore everything that is happening in the world and to think that their opponent is "islamophobic" or "racist". I think the upper echelons know completely what they are doing and ignore it. The younger ones, they think they are doing the right thing. The older ones who are leading these so called group, they know what they are doing is wrong. They just like the power they have over people (and some are in for the money).
