    Loved the new Hobbit movies, but to be honest, I still prefer (the 1977) Rankin and Bass's version. It is a far better storyteller

      But really, you should try and get some time to watch this one, if you ever read the book or saw the new movies. It is just one movie, so it does not take a lot of time. It will not be a waste of time ;)

      man i remember those. Such underrated gems.

      I actually have the rankin/bass lord of the rings movie from ralph bakshi. It's surprisingly more grittier then Peter Jacksons LOTR.
