      Re the second question " What is it like afterward ?"

      I had ONE out end of March, took 2 weeks for the pain to finally stop completely. My advice, stock up on lots of pain killer tablets!

      Dentist did say might take a while, for some reason extractions at the back of the mouth take longer to sort themselves out afterwards. Apparently! I had two stitches in the gum as well.

      +1 re getting sedation, that part was really good. When the novocaine wore off was when it started gettting unpleasant.

      However really needed doing so no way around it. Each day got noticeably better, honest.
