  1. If I remember correctly, you are a Shia muslim. What is your opinion on Alawites?

    1. ZethaPonderer

      ZethaPonderer

Actually I don’t have an informed and concise opinion about them since I’m still learning about my branch (Zaidi) as a Shia Muslim. One thing that I noticed throughout some of my posts is that I get both the terms ‘Sect’ and ‘Branch’ mixed up due to my overthinking nature so I may need to look back at my posts and edit them sooner than later to reflect my original intention.

Sect - Religious Group within a Religion in which I symbolize it as a Tree.

Branch - Schools of Thought within that Religious Group. Not entirely sure if Denomination qualifies as synonymous to Branch.

      Anyway, back to your question.

I’ll be blunt and straight to the point as best as I can. You’ll hear and read conflicting information about the Alawites when it comes to learn about this particular branch within Shia Islam.

Here’s a Shiachat link that could potentially answer your questions of what their opinion is about Alawites,

      https://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/234999267-are-alawi-considered-shia/?page=3

It’s 3 pages long though you’ll get to it pretty quickly. My pick is on user Qa’im ‘s perspective at the last page though do read the rest while ignoring some banter here and there within that topic of the forum.

While on my family’s perspective, they believe that all the branches including the Alawites within the Shia sect of Islam are interrelated to one another due to the family bloodline they all share with The Ahlul-Bayt [Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and His Family which constitutes as the 12 Imams]. As a Zaidi Shia, my family’s bloodline is close to the Fourth Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (AS) and we adhere to that branch and follow that particular school of thought within Shia Islam. While the Alawites according to my family, are descendents of the First Imam Ali ibne Abi Talib (AS) from his many wives except the divinely chosen wife, Bibi Fatimah Zehra (AS), of his from Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as part of the Ahlul-Bayt. Also, since my family consider themselves as Zaidi and their bloodlines are close to the Fourth Imam who was born from the First Imam and his Divinely Chosen Wife, that makes us Syed.

Doesn’t matter though in the long run. I could be the biological son of Prophet Moses/Musa (AS) and that alone wouldn’t save me from Hell. I don’t expect myself to enter the Gates of Heaven. That is up for The God of Abraham to decide my fate.

      So TL;DR It’s complicated bruh. :P

I read through the pages that you suggested. It was quite illuminating and interesting.

My favorite take from the Alawis though:
"If they are not faithful, they will be reborn as Christians as a punishment."

      What a religious dunk! :P

From what I have been reading in that chat, even Alawites split into what seems to something called Nusayris and Bektashi Sufis.

      Spoiler

I liked 'maes' take on page 3

So your take was mainly Qa'im? It was quite interesting. But does that mean that considering you are a Zaydi, you don't consider them to be Shia because they are "Ghulats" (I do not know what that term means)?

But I get ya, it is pretty complicated. From what I had already gathered before looking more into things, I saw Alawites (at least in Syria) being separate from Shia, Sunnis and Ibadis considering they are kinda treated that way (like was visible in the hot debates happening on that forum). I've been paying a lot of attention to the Civil War going on in Syria, to the battles, to the politics and geopolitics and to the religious conflict going on and seeing how the culture over there is shaping and whether this sect of Islam will become more close with Shia Islamism in the future~

    3. ZethaPonderer

      ZethaPonderer

‘Ghulat’ means minority Shia Muslims that hold extremely deviant and shirk (ascribing partnership to The God of Abraham) inducing beliefs about the Ahlul Bayt from the majority of Shia Muslims who don’t ascribe any divinity to them other than the fact they are divinely chosen by The God of Abraham. So I do not deny the reality that they are Shias and they claim to be as such. They’re just not the kind that any of the majority among this sect would agree on wholeheartedly.

The way I see the big picture is that all three Abrahamic Religions share the same message just not the essence of that message in its pure form. Jews believe in The One and Only God, but also ascribe the belief that they are His chosen people, which therefore leads them to believe they are divine beings, whom are destined to guide and rule over the rest of the Gentiles (essentially ascribing divinity among themselves therefore establishing themselves as partners to The God of Abraham which is a form of shirk potentially speaking). While Christians believe in The One and Only God, but also ascribe divinity to Prophet Jesus/Isa (AS) based on the Trinity theology. Finally, Islam believes in The One and Only God. That’s it . There’s a difference between being divine and being divinely chosen from a Higher Power.

Judaism and Christianity are Israelite centric Abrahamic religions and strictly for those people in mind while Islam despite asserting its position under the meta historical narrative within the Quran that it is ‘The OG Religion’ The God of Abraham created for Humanity before all other religions, has its roots from the people who descended from the line of The Biblical Ishmael or should I say Prophet Ishmael/Ismail (AS). So Islam, from its roots under reality is an Ishmaelite centric Abrahamic religion. Thus, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) descended from the line of Prophet Ishmael/Ismail (AS).

I believe The Biblical Ishmael was innocent and didn’t do anything wrong ascribed to him in your scriptures as a ‘Wild Donkey’ noted in Genesis 16:11-12. What did he do wrong to deserve such a cruel fate to be separated away from his own father? I haven’t found a shred of evidence within the Torah to see Ishmael’s wrongdoing.

The war between Judaism, Christianity and Islam is more than just a petty war. This is a racial, holy, tribal war between the Israelites and Ishmaelites.

Just adding furthermore, The Quran says a completely different narrative contrast to The Torah about Prophet Ishmael/Ismail (AS) according to these verses,

      14:39

      19:54-55

      21:85

38:48 (Most important verse about Ishmael which asserts my position that he did no wrong)

Also adding more info about Judaism in bold. I don’t think I’ve explained thoroughly enough on that matter, but this post is long enough as is.

TL;DR It’s complicated bruh. :P. Also, I don’t believe all Jews, Christians and those who strive hard to practice and preach the Absolutivity of Truth will go to Hell. Only The God of Abraham knows. Only He knows.

Tbh, I think complacency for the most part, with revolution against the state by various factions.

“Revolution is a spectators sport. The majority will sit in the stands and watch the factions fight. At the end they will choose side with the team that is winning.” - Handsome guy who was definitely not a Nazi don't google this quote. He's right about this though imo.

Also, I believe the speech issue is only going to be a small part of a larger shit show. Imagine how bad it's going to be when the US government, which is still spending billions each day, defaults on that debt. Weimar conditions for the US.
