You will never improve with that state of mind, you just keep drawing no matter how terrible you think it looks, it will get better more you draw. Case and point, I used to draw ponies like this

@Catpone Cerberus That pony you drew isn't even that bad! My attempts at drawing a pony (even drawing from a model image) are a lot worse... And when I draw without one, they're not even recognizable as ponies – like that one time I drew Scootaloo who looked more like a cat wearing a cap! Sounds cute, but not exactly what I was aiming at!

What you said is true... But while I'd get better with practice, looking at the creations of really good artists, I can't imagine ever reaching that level. My drawings look like something a kid could create – thinking of how much I used to draw when I was younger, I just can't help but conclude it's not my forte...
