Also, why does Lektra still have magic? Haven't we established that its all gone now? -
Amber followed the others out of the ex-building. "So, what can we do now? Our ticket out has disappeared, and we're completely magic-less." She clenched her fists, but they only sparked once or twice before fizzling out. "Is there any other way to get back to Equestria?" she asked hopefully. "Or at least a way to get our magic back...?"

StormJumper: "I don't care if its past 11:30, I want pancakes!" Drive through worker: "Miss, it's four in the afternoon. We stopped serving those hours ago." What would you OC do if the Princess of Friendship demanded their presence at the castle immediately? What do you think she needs them for?

general What do you think of this concept of "waifus"
AmberDust replied to joshuachasseur's topic in General Discussion
Here's a bit of trivia--the term "Waifu" came from the hilarious show "Azumanga Daioh"! It was written by the same person who writes Yotsuba! Although the word itself is kinda cringey, I don't really mind it. It's just strange hearing people talk about characters as if they own them. ^^' I mean, imagine treating real-lif crushes like that... Not that I DON'T have any character crushes to speak of... -
Okay guys, I'm concerned. I recently saw this post on a Facebook group I'm following. I assumed they were talking about Stellar Eclipse from this episode. So, did this really happen? I'm tempted to call BS on it, and assume it was made up to make the fandom look bad, but I'm really not sure.

spoiler Signs of Lazy Writing?

I didn't mind the borrowed Aesop from the last episode, but I felt the pacing was really weird and the characters were kind of caricaturized versions of themselves. :/- 25 replies

What does that have to do with Celestia being superior to Luna, though? -

AmberDust replied to ThatAnonymousPony's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
What? No, they were BOTH said to be born Alicorns. Celestia and Luna. Where did that come from? -
This is severely adorable. I'm not sure HOW we could go about if, but it sounds fantastic.

When Will Rainbow Factory be Recognized by Hasbro as Canon?
AmberDust replied to Banul's topic in Sugarcube Corner
Might as well make "Bride of Discord" canon, while we're at it. -
spoiler Not a fan of Flurry Heart?
AmberDust replied to ThatAnonymousPony's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I agree, but the part that honestly upsets me the most is the fact that they basically went against The Journal of The Two Sisters in saying that Equestria had never seen the birth of an Alicorn before. I mean, didn't that book basically confirm that Luna and Celestia were born alicorns? -

spoiler Starlight and Future Episodes?
AmberDust replied to Glike's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
But they deserve it so much moooore....aaaghh.... You're probably right, though... What a shame. -
A Bicorn...that would be a pony with two horns. ^^" I like to think that Alicorns have Earth pony powers, but that was never really established in canon. They always just referred to it as "Earning Alicorn wings" or similar. They never actually mention Earth Pony powers...what a shame. What I'm getting at: Flurry IS an Alicorn. As for her title, I think Flurry Heart is automatically a princess, on account of being born into a royal family. Hasbro will never call Cadence a Queen, though. Celestia was supposed to be called "Queen Celetia", but that was scrapped because Hasbro associated that title with being evil--hence, Queen Chrysalis.

I think the pilot should be left out of this. ^^" They were just starting out at that point, so it obviously isn't gonna be perfect, especially in terms of character continuity. I voted for the Crystalling. It was just....uninteresting. Not predicable, exactly, but it broke my suspension of disbelief to the point where I just didn't really care what happened. That being said, "The Crystal Empire" isn't really fresh in my mind. It seems to be getting a lot of hate here, but I don't really remember disliking it. Maybe I ought to watch it again.

This episode...eeeh.... I'm actually pretty disappointed by it. I was hoping things would get better after season five, but this episode just didn't cut it. Not the worst episode ever, but definitely my least favourite two-parter. To elaborate: https://mlpforums.com/blogs/entry/19633-%7B%3F%7D/

So, after a little break, Season Six has officially begun with a brand-new two parter, The Crystalling, and, well... I didn't like this episode. The whole thing, from character interactions to major plot points, just felt way too hard to believe. It was almost like watching a fanfiction brought to life. Here, let me explain... To start, I'll get this out of the way: I still don't like how Starlight's character changed so drastically at the end of the Season V finale. I mean, I like how she is now, I guess, but the change was just too quick and too drastic for me to actually believe. In fact, most of my issues from this episode stem from that very issue--my suspension of disbelief was continually being broken, so i just couldn't get into it. And it wasn't just because of Starlight--but because of almost everything that happened in this episode. First off, there was the baby. Like everyone, I already knew that Flurry Heart was an Alicorn, but that fact that Luna and Celestia said that "the birth of an alicorn is something Equestria has never seen" really bothered me. THEY were born Alicorns. Hasn't that been established in canon? I just feel like this statement was unnecessary, especially since that plot point was immediately dropped. (Although I'm sure we'll hear about it again in a future episode...) Secondly, there's the Crystal Heart. The fact that the Crystal Heart could break so easily is simply ridiculous to me, especially considering what its survived in the past. It felt like the writers maybe couldn't really think of a realistic way to move the plot along, so they used baby-ex-machina again, like in Baby Cakes. This would upset me less if the Crystal Heart wasn't so important and powerful. I mean, it only takes one sob to shatter the heart, but it takes every royal in Equestria to fix it? That's just absurd! Why would they keep something so fragile and so important out in the open in the first place?? Especially when a decoy has worked before. Aah, whatever. Moving on. Thirdly, there's the Two Sisters. It was nice seeing Celestia and Luna again...typically they're absent when Equestria needs them most, so it was a great change of pace to see them fly into action. However, the fact that they were easily defeated by weather really upset me. I mean, these two can move planets, but they can't fend off clouds? What? Even Spike has overcome more dangerous feats than that, and they mentioned them in this very episode. Fourth, there's the whole "evacuate the city" plot point. THAT was just plain stupid. You cannot escape bad weather by plunging into its source, and the fact that they were taking a train is even more absurd. It wasn't even necessary, either. They could have just hidden in their houses. Lastly, there's the character interactions. The pivotal conversation between Starlight and Sunburst felt really forced. Their outbursts didn't make sense in context, and felt really cut-and-pasted in, as though the writers knew that these things needed to be said, but didn't know where to put it. Overall, the events in this episode felt very forced, and what's worse, the point they were forcing them towards wasn't even that rewarding. The plot felt scattered and unrealisitc, and although Sunburst made a cool character, all the rest of the cast felt like mere caricatures of themselves, edited to serve the story. For me, the highlight of this episode was Shining Armour's first appearance. Never thought I'd say that. I rate this episode 5/10. Although it didn't do anything over-the-top to upset me, the plot felt forced and poorly planned, and seemed to go against established lore. I'm still struggling to believe it, myself, Sunburst.

As much as I want to say "The Aristocats" or "Toystory", I'd don't think I've ever watched a movie more times than I've watched The Digimon Movie. Or Pokémon 2000, for that matter. I think it really comes down to nostalgia value. ^^' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYcPWDXbiKs
