The first thing that came to mind was "Olivander", from Harry Potter. I'm sure I can do better than that....let's see... What's his talent? Or rather, his job? mlp names are usually based on somepony's physical appearance( Pinkie Pie), their cutie marks( Rarity), of their personality( Fluttershy). He's a unicorn, so something somewhat magical is good... How about... Fairglow? Or Stunner, Marvel...things that indicate he's somewhat of a prodigy,,, (is he?) I'd like a little more info. @Fhaolan That's a really nice scheme-- I think it might be a bit too light for her though. I think I'm gonna tinker with these colours a bit and see what I can get. @ retrosteamknight, I'm having a bit of a hard time visualizing yours so I'll test it out too. When you say Ginger, do you mean orange?

Hello everypony! I've requested help a few times now with no luck, so i'm trying again! I'm just trying to come up with a colour scheme for Amber Dust here (the picture is transparent, so you can drag it over another colour to see her eye shape. Also, either her mane or tail will always be braided. It changes). Here's some information to go with the picture: Amber's a realist, but still has strong ideals. She's very curious and a little shy, but passionate about discovering new things (her curiosity and wit outweigh her shyness, which could probably get her into sticky situations). She's aspiring to become a designer/artist, but her heart yearns for the thrill of discovery. She's afraid of leaping into new things unprepared, and she has a strong interest in magic, but she's not really any better than the average unicorn. If she were to weild an element, it would be honesty or kindness. She values LOGIC. And here's some extra info on her potential fighting style! Her name/theme was inspired a bit by Blue amber, a stone that glows under black light. I was thinking her cutie mark would be said rock, representing "a light in the dark", or hope. I was even considering that her mark (and freckles) would change colour/glow in the dark, but I dunno...I don't want her to be too "special-snowflake"-y. That's all besides the point anyways. I'd like blue to be somewhere in her scheme, but the it doesnt necessarily have to be the same shade of blue that I used in my drawing. Here are some songs full of Magic and Mystery that suit her, in my mind. Yeah. I have a lot prepared behind her, but I'm having a very hard time with colour schemes. Any and all help is welcome! I'd never considered it before, but it does make sense. But i think the reason they chose Fluttershy was because she was the only one willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, you know? She's the only one who never gets angry or impatient, which means she's basically impervious to Discor's shenanigans. Twilight wouldn't be able to handle Discord, nevermind change him at all.

I'd suggest something unobstructive and cute. maybe a stamp (or cutie mark) next to the name? Or the second option in this picture, the one on the profile pic, would appear only when you mouse over the picture so it wouldn't obstruct someone's profile picture. Maybe it could even be included in each of your posts like a signature is. :/ There are so many possibilites.

Hey it's me the maker of AmberDust. The theme you chose was a little Too evil sounding in my opinion, but I guess it's more suitable as game music than the themes I chose. :/ I was Hoping for something less intimidating but whatever. I'm really glad you like my character. I was wondering a few things though. If you're no good at animation...how exactly did you plan on developing this game? Do you have any experience in making games? How many people are working with you? Hey, it's me, the creator of AmberDust. Amber Dust Female ? Backstory (not final. Pretty much just based off of sketches. Change at will) : She grew up the youngest of 5 fillies, and the only unicorn in her immediate family. Her two best friends lived in foster care, and she always strove to share her experiences and stories about the outside world and it's magic with them. Soon after they were adopted, Amber left home, trying to find her way as an artist. Inspried by the mysteries and magic of the world, she travels the world searching to unlock/prove the secrets of the world she taught her friends about so long ago. If she were to fight, it'd go like this: She fights with illusions, teleportation, and bucks, only occasionally using magic bursts, as they arent her strong point. She tries to rend her enemies prone by confusing them. ?: Possibly this: or or Whichever you think fits in best with your game. Something that's not intimidating, but still strong sounding and a little mysterious is perfect for her. Something with wavering levels of energy. Stage: A cathedral, possibly abandonned. Basically just anything ancient and dazzling, like a ruined cathedral full of mystery and coloured light (but not too bright--The stained glass windows would be the main, if not only, source of light). Species: Unicorn Character: She's a realist, but still has strong ideals. She's very curious and a little shy, but passionate about discovering new things. Oh and... when you choose to battle as her: "I won't let you down." When she wins: "We'll meet again, I'm sure?" When she loses: "My friend...I'm sorry." When she ties: "All settled then?" (she doesn't really care about winning...she just wants to get through it andcontinue to move forward with her own goals) Cutie mark: A glowing blue stone. Her colour scheme is not final yet-- but I'm thinking either yellows and pinks, or a dark grey body with a whitish mane. Honestly I leave it up to you if I don't finalize a design before the contest ends. She's old enough to live alone, but just barely. ~17 human years. Alignment-wise, she's "good", but from the perspectives of others, it's hard to tell what her intentions are, as she's rather independent and follows her whims. Sorry if my character is a little too incomplete design wise. If you do like her, I'd appreciate any help with colours. I think she's make a nice addition to your story, as a pony who isn't in it just for the fights. Oh, the Pokémon 2000 theme might work too. I need to stop talking about ponies and get ready for work. I'd love more information on this game of yours.
