  1. Captcha doesn't even deter trolls and bots. It just creates more of an inconvenience than having any sort of benefits. Why does it even exist again if it serves almost no purpose other than obvious annoyance?
  2. The fact that the AO rating even existed baffles me, since none of the games ever have AO rating at all. Hatred is the only game that has AO rating and even that's considered baffling since pretty much all violent games receive the M rating and nothing else. The ESRB is an absolute joke.
  3. It seems that if you post a comment that contains cursing, it doesn't go through yet for some reason, other people are able to post comments that contains cursing without any issues. It just screams hypocrisy for YouTube.
  4. It's a real shame that, unless there's an alternative site that can definitely put YouTube in their place, YouTube will continue to thrive and get away with it (along with shoving people with invasive ads without the use of Adblock and uBlock), because even with massive lawsuits, Google could very easily pay off lawyers to ensure that YouTube continues on until something big happens to them.
  5. Here's the problem though; YouTube are actually banning the wrong people while letting the trolls roam free. And again, even if they were banned, they can still make new accounts anyway. Of course it isn't going away yet because a lot of people are using it. However, wait until they end up making yet another bad decision that's considered mandatory that will lead to a massive backlash. And the smaller creators get far less views and subscribers, to the point where its impossible to earn money, thanks to the constant, intrusive ads YouTube continues to shove everyone's faces with.
  6. I forgot to mention that if you post comments on YouTube and it contains swearing, it will never go through to the comment section yet you see people having their comments posted with obvious profanity. This is YouTube with their obvious hypocrisy at its finest.
  7. Over the years, YouTube has been gradually getting worse and worse, which ranges from being falsely banned to having videos removed unexpectedly because of "copyright violations", along with not getting paid at all, regardless of the number of views accumulated through videos posted. Let's not forget the comment section which are incredibly hostile and toxic, to the point where YouTube themselves can't be bothered to moderate them, much less ban people for deliberately causing problems. Yet they have no problems in wrongfully banning off people for the most asinine reasons while letting actual trolls get away with it. And even if they're somehow banned, they can create new channels and evade said ban altogether. Even small-time YouTubers are at risk of having their channels erased off by YouTube because not only are they not getting paid at all (or better yet, not getting enough views or subscribers no matter their potential), they're completely overshadowed by far bigger YouTubers such as *cough*PewDiePie*cough*, who have over 100+ million subscribers altogether. Worse yet, YouTube likes to manipulate on search algorithms to ensure that the results you wanted are not the ones you'd expect. Also, no way to watch movies without having to actually pay for it because of their BS regulations in terms of regions. And even if you do manage to buy it, good luck sharing them. Because YouTube won't allow you to do just that. Only you and you alone can watch the movies you bought and therefore cannot be viewed by others. I also forgot to mention; they are incredibly trigger-happy when it comes to striking down videos, especially when it comes to copyrighted music. There are actual, copyrighted music shown on YouTube but in video games, or other miscellaneous stuff? Taken down, no negotiations, end of story, enjoy your ban. YouTube limits people in uploading movies to YouTube because movie makers are either incredibly selfish or YouTube hates legitimate movies altogether. Let's not forget YouTube Kids. Why does it even exist to begin with? It has no business in ever being in the main YouTube site, just by deliberately flagging videos as such by labelling YouTube Kids to ensure that no one is allowed to comment. They should've made YouTube Kids as a standalone site (like kids.youtube.com) instead of forcefully adding it to the main site. But its clear enough that the guys at YouTube are increasingly tone-deaf who outright refuse to listen to the people despite them obviously objecting to YouTube's move. Even on Twitter YouTube ignores these kinds of responses, because they knew they dropped the ball, but they don't give a damn about it. It only makes them smile in the most disgusting manner. Sure YouTube can be sued, but there's a problem; they're backed by Google and if that were to happen, Google can very easily bribe them out of a lawsuit so that YouTube can very easily get away with the s**t they've intentionally caused. And unless there's new management to completely overhaul YouTube altogether, or a new competitor that can put an end to YouTube's totalitarian nature and permanently shut it down altogether. The YouTube we knew and love is long dead because they have went corporate to ensure people are limited to what they can do. Even other YouTubers know that YouTube themselves have become China of video sharing website, meaning they're incredibly restrictive and will ban anyone they see fit, whether they've broken the rules or not. As much as I love to see YouTube meet their eventual demise, I've yet to see it happen so it'll take a sheer miracle to have YouTube be struck with an unwinnable lawsuit that not even Google can pay their way out of it. Until then, this site is just a burning fire that won't be put down that easily. (If this counts as a Vent, you're free to move it, though this is about YouTube, which should fall under Media Discussions.)
  8. 30 and I feel like I'm no longer amongst the youngsters anymore. I just feel like an outcast among other, younger people who were born in the 2000s, or the late 90s who are still in their 20s, as whatever youth that's left in me is gradually wasting away. Not to mention that I'm not able-bodied to be able to do well at strenuous jobs, especially given the lack of disability benefits where I live in. I could've gotten a kid or two, but I don't have any kind of housing to live in, and it can get stupidly expensive just to be able to raise a kid due to a lack of job.
  9. I sadly don't. I don't have the necessary resources to stream any game, and even then Twitch's awfully restrictive nature when it comes to music makes it all the more difficult to even stream a game without being slapped with a strike.
  10. I'm disappointed that Pixar didn't make Zootopita into either a mini TV series, or an actual TV series, exploring more places Zootopia has to offer, including more animals like kangaroos or koalas (both which are native to Australia with Australian voice actors/actresses), or even locations that weren't included in the movie itself. Feels like a completely wasted potential in all its goodness.
  11. So with Smart TVs (mainly 4k and 8k ones) on the rise, they offer shows, movies, among others, cable TV doesn't show, mainly because the channels you want to watch are locked behind their annoying paywalls so it seems that cable TV is gradually meeting their inevitable demise.
  12. They continue to milk SpongeBob while completely ignoring other, good shows from the 90s and early 2000s altogether. Why Nickelodeon still exists to this day is beyond me.
  13. There are popular films that was made by Pixar, or Disney, yet never bothered to make a sequel at all despite huge successes.
  14. Payday 2 - Can someone tell me why this game is still popular when the devs continue to obsess themselves with egregious DLC content at ludicrious prices, which overall totals almost up to $150 worth of DLCs? Because I basically stopped touching it since 2016 and wow, the amount of DLCs they continue to push yet the Payday community are one of the most overprotective and incredibly toxic ever to exist. This game has completely overstayed its welcome, but of course, the devs will continue to support it, and their community are more than happy to add more fuel to the fire because they like to call this game perfect, even when it obviously isn't. Red Dead Redemption 2 - Yes, the single player is great, and there's so much to do, but once Red Dead Online was introduced and R* blatantly includes microtransactions into the game, I obviously jumped from the hype train and never looked back. If any, this game is far too overhyped, no matter how good it really is. Just another game that's endlessly milked by the devs themselves, just like what they're doing with GTA V. Have a great single player, but then completely abandon it afterwards in favor of an online multiplayer game that includes content at ludicrously-expensive prices to ensure that people will get immersed into online more than single player. Fortnite - Yeah umm... no. Hence my utter distaste for free-to-play games, and the overall community being utterly childish (likely children playing it too). Roblox - Remind me again why this even existed? Minecraft - I don't care how popular it really is. I basically do not feel immersed in ever trying to play a game that involves absentmindedly building/removing blocks and stacking them up. I don't have a creative mind, and it'd feel like a total chore in even trying to build something my limited creative mind can handle before stopping out of lack of interest. I just cannot get immersed with Minecraft, even with friends (and even my friends agree that it just feels relatively monotonous). Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - Valve turned it from a paid game into a free-to-play game just to fuel their personal selfishness, which was a bad move for them. Add that to crates that can only be opened with real money and you have a gaming dev that cares less about the community and care more about money. Plus, the community itself is filled with elitists who like to stroke their own egos just to make themselves feel better, just because they're that good. Like, give me a break here... Call of Duty III (and beyond) - No. This franchise has overstayed its welcome, and I stopped playing it after Black Ops II. Activision's obsession to the series will be their eventual death. But of course, so long as people continue to mindlessly spend their money on a game that screams "more of the same", its apparently never going to die.
  15. I stopped playing TF2 since 2018 out of lack of interest and because of the P2W nature, which is something I completely detest about it. Not only that, the overall community in TF2 are overly-defensive and hostile, willing to stir up a s***storm by calling TF2 "the most perfect game ever existed". Like, I'm sorry, but Valve has gotten increasingly selfish and out of touch with their own community that they'll only make a new game whenever they feel like it. Otherwise, they completely ignore their own community altogether. TF2 isn't even fun anymore. The community is just downright defensive and hostile, having to pay money in order to receive new weapons and cosmetics doesn't feel rewarding at all and it feels like I've dumped my money, only to receive the same items I already have. I could sell the items I don't want, but chances are, nobody will ever buy them off. They'd rather receive the items for free instead of paying for said items. TF2 isn't dead, but its certainly one, big dumpster fire that will keep on burning.
  16. The people who even directed and released The Emoji Movie should be fired. Even Michael Bay makes better movies than this, which is saying something. If any, they shouldn't have released The Emoji Movie when they knew it was going to be disastrous yet did so anyway. If any, this movie should be completely erased from its existence.
  17. Dark mode doesn't really use much resources IIRC. Even Discord has dark mode included. Of course, could only wait and see if the admins are willing to add it.
  18. Can we have dark mode included in the forums? Looking at the forum index that's obnoxiously bright can be really bothersome to the eyes, especially on newer monitors too. It can also lead to eye strain while reading forum posts.
  19. I stopped playing TF2 because of the P2W nature, along with egregious matchmaking that makes it all the less fun, same for CSGO. I'm not giving them a single dollar for cosmetic stuff that loses their charm after a short time. If they can't introduce in-game credits without the need of having to pay real money for rare items, then Valve is dead to me. They can join EA, Activision, Ubisoft, Rockstar Games, and other devs because eventually, Valve will become a target for lawmakers for their P2W nature.
  20. Remind me again why microtransactions even exist in the first place? Just to fuel the gaming developers' greed?
  21. E3 should've left and stayed gone from last year, instead of returning outright.
  22. Disney only cares about money and will only make sequels whenever they feel like it. They don't see Zootopia as successful in their eyes, even though it is. For them, its all about money first, fans and community are always last.
  23. It's amazing that me, who was a longtime PlayStation fan, is being secretly thrown under the bus by Sony. Now I'm just waiting to see whatever money I get so I can try my best to buy the digital games and DLC through PS Store before Sony decides to pull the plug for good. Now I feel like I'm siding with Microsoft because the marketplace for the 360 is still open to buy digital games, even though DLC is rather barebones for certain titles. I cannot believe I'm just being secretly betrayed by Sony.
  24. So as it turns out, Sony is shutting down PS Store for PS3, PSP and PS Vita in order to continue support for PS4 and PS5. As a longtime Playstation fan, I felt literally backstabbed by Sony themselves. Here is the source: https://www.polygon.com/22356858/playstation-store-shut-down-ps3-ps-vita-psp-date-redownload-purchases
  25. I mean, its not even out yet, but its already looking promising. And Izzy Moonbow's already a likeable character. And I'll be glad to take new VAs, especially if they have potential, unless veteran VAs also return.
