@DivineKnight1000 I didn't think the story was too bad, really. Could have done with less kissing/romance with Elise, but it was fine. I think most people hated the story because the game was hard to play...
I also wish the writer of the game would be hired to make a sequel. He had plans for the Sonic universe, and one of those plans was to develop Blaze more and explain why she's from the future instead of a different dimension.

@Samurai Equine And I'm gonna go ahead and say that I actually do like Sonic 06.

For what it is, it's a good game. The gameplay is fun and unique with open stages to explore and find hidden items, I love the soundtrack and the final boss is honestly one of the best in the series!

@DivineKnight1000 Yep. 99% of all Sonic games have a great soundtrack. :Daydreaming: ...Except Chronicles. We don't talk about that one.

    Hello again, my crowd. :mlp_smug:

Well, I took a chance, and video games were not affecting my keyboard after all! It really was just the old one dying on me. So it's nice that I can keep playing whatever I like.

And best news is, I'm almost 100% caught up on all the Toonami shows I recorded! Which means soon, I'll be able to start watching movies again! This really should have happened sooner. Life got in the way, but things are really getting back on track.

So what's everyone been up to? Anything interesting? I hope my followers are still reading these status updates...

Um... Why is this late? Because cheese bread. 236619.gif Let's go over the previous week.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png I've been lightly renovating my bathroom. It was a long time coming, but I got it done. :scoots: But it was a lot of work, and it made me not want to do much after I was finished.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png I forget if I mentioned, but I gave my uncle the music controller back. :bea: I am happy he is getting his money back, at least. I was unable to make any use of it because I couldn't find any software that would work correctly on my PC. I am sure I could have, but I would have needed more time. Maybe a vacation to figure it out. Maybe some day; in the future. I am most happy that both of my uncles are healthy and cleared of any COVID. That's the real good news. :proud:

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png Recently, a lot of trailers have dropped! Mostly teasers. Nickelodeon is getting a new CGI animated Transformers cartoon. How is that Transformers just can't find a single TV channel to stay on? They're all over the place! I feel like DC and Marvel both released two trailers back to back on purpose. Shazam and Black Adam look good, but I hope both have an after-credits scene where they get ready to meet each other. She-Hulk may just be a series, but the trailer has me WAY more excited than the first. But that Wakanda Forever teaser? They know what they are doing. They are going to string us along for as long as possible.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png At least we finally have a drop date for the next MLP MYM episode. But I gotta say, my crowd... I am beginning to lose hope. >_> It shouldn't take this long for someone to decide if this series is good or not. I heard a summary for the next episode, and it doesn't inspire hope, but I really want the episode to surprise me. If it doesn't make good on the cliffhanger from the last episode, I may decide to step away from G5 for the foreseeable future. At least until the fandom starts collectively telling me that the show just got way better. Hope that doesn't make me less of a brony.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png MOVIE TIME! icon?1379626399 This time, I saw MAZINGER Z INFINITY. This time, I offer a unique perspective. I have never seen the original TV series, despite it being an all-time classic. However, this movie managed to do what it should. I am now inspired to see what I missed. I know SOME casual and random facts about the franchise, but not everything. I know that Mazinger Z had different dubs (hello Tranzor Z), and seeing it uncut was a rare thing back in the day. There was a scene where people around the world were tuning in to see Mazinger's final fight, and thus making it oddly meta how a lot of people around the world actually missed the original TV show. Still, everything else was deserving of a cheff's kiss. Ichiro Mizuki came back to sing the iconic theme song, perhaps one last time. Kouji Kikkawa, an artist I deeply respect, sings the ED theme. Mazinger's final victory is awe-inspiring. And to top it all off, the star characters have come such a long way, finally get the happy ending they deserve. Even the dub is brilliant. It's wonderfully acted, uncut with original names for everything throughout, and even Mike Pollock dubs the villain. Trust me, any project he is in becomes an instant win. I saw this movie on a complete whim, but now I want to see the original series in all its glory. ROCKET PUNCH!

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png MLP TYT 19: Helping Hitched. :mlp_wat: Let me remind everyone that I don't approach anything with negativity. There were SOME good things in this episode. We got to see Hitch with a hat, so now you actually have a reason to get that toy of Hitch. He also got a song, so that was cool. And in terms of premise and execution, there is nothing wrong with this story. However, the entire plot of the story was teaching animals to be friends, and hearing them talk just doesn't help. What you get is an episode that feels like it was made for a preschool show, not for G5. The previous generation could pull an episode like this off without making the audience feel like they are being talked down to. With my hope in G5 waning, now is not the time to be putting out episodes like this. ...But hey, only 2 bad episodes out of 19. That's something.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png DonBrothers 20: A Tiger's Wild. osnb5Gt.png And now we finally have the premiere of something we've been waiting on for a long time, Torabolt! It seems this is the personification of Jirou's frustrations, so instead of become Dragoku, he becomes this instead. How fitting that the MOTW is based on DaiRanger, and the host was a martial artist as well. I want to know how this will play out, but also, I am glad his (ex) girlfriend didn't come around to see this. I'd rather his hometown friends see a successful hero than a dangerous traitor. Also, Inu Brother not being able to handle the work out makes no sense at all.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png ReVice 44: The Demons We Make.  nynjRij.png Talk about an emotional gut-punch of an episode. It all ready started off with a traumatizing separation of Vice and Ikki/Revi, but the finale is where it's at. Daiji finally faces his mistakes and manages to bring Kagero back when he needed him most, and Evilty Live is like the perfect union between Daiji and his demon. Did you know that it is said that the ruler of the h-e-double hockey-sticks was actually a fallen angel? Wonder if they were going for a similar angle here. In the background, it seems George may have missed his chance to say goodbye to his father. This episode hits harder for personal reason to me. Just know, this episode really brought the tears.

That's all for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and live more.

And this is why I like Japanese dubs. Sonic 2 was all ready a great movie, but this makes it even better. Sonic says "Oh my god", and that overused Bruno Mars song is replaced with a WAY more fitting remix of Green Hill. Seriously, why can I find that remix? This a trailer for the Japanese Dub of Sonic 2.

Tug boat. Toot toot. 🚢 Another week over. Let's talk about it, shall we my crowd?

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png To complete the makeovers, Orange Edition will now have Sunset Shimmer orange and Twilight Sparkle purple. :) I was going to call that the most important thing that happened this week, but then that Shin Kamen Rider trailer dropped, and OMG that shot-for-shot remake~! I'm drooling. Now if only there was a drool emoji...

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png Speaking of, it's not all good news... 5 episodes have passed. I've been avoiding watching the show Kamen Rider ReVice until this moment. This is where I should be making a choice on which fansub group to support, but I just found out some bad news about Kamen Rider ReVice. It seems the costar, the one playing Vice, made a racist post on Twitter a long time ago.  It's been recently deleted, but that's all. No context about why was ever given. No apology nor any acknowledgement was ever made. And this is not just some random background actor; this is the costar, the one that shares the spotlight with the main star. Right now, he's just a voice actor. There is a chance that, if this was happening in America, the actor might get recast by someone with a similar voice, but nothing like that seems to be happening. And now I'm sitting on the sidelines trying to figure out what to do. Do I watch the show anyways? Do I skip an anniversary series? I'm so lost and confused... I really don't want to support this actor. I mean, if I'm pirating episodes, then I'm not really supporting anyone regardless. Still, this makes it a lot harder for me to watch ReVice now... I was looking forward to this, and now I'm left trying to make a tough choice.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png Sorry I don't have anything else to report. This week did not go the way I thought, and my rhythm has been thrown off. I was suppose to watch Ducktales S3. I got through half of it, but not all. Movies are piling up too. Shang-Chi, Venom 2, and I still need to see at least 1 episode of the new CGI He-Man series on Netflix.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png Zenkaiger 29: The Game Was Fixed. bitgear_32.png Can't say I expected to see a Prince of Tennis tribute episode. Other then that, this episode is the height of boring. The Tojitendo no longer feel like a threat. All I can say is that the next episode is making big promises; so I hope they can deliver.

That's it for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and get ready for spoops.

I just can't help it. You GOTTA see this trailer! They suit is new, but it's made so very similar to the original. And the shot-for-shot remake... Someone had better do a side-by-side comparison video soon. They even have alternating shots of different motorcycles. I thought Shin Kamen Rider was suppose to be an anime! And I hear the director is the same guy that made Evangelion? Whatever this is, it cannot come out fast enough. This is the 1st Shin Kamen Rider trailer.

How goes it, my crowd?! software_agent_smith.png Sorry for posting this a day late; my schedule got interrupted and you'll understand why soon enough...

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png So obviously the biggest thing that happened in the previous week we just finished was that I celebrated my birthday! :mlp_yeehaa: And what a birthday it was. Got many gifts, and had a wonderful time over all. Perhaps one of the best birthday celebrations I've had in a while. And thank goodness I was healthy for it, because...

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png The day after, I got sick. A 24 hour, possibly food poisoning, sickness. I have no idea what caused it, and I probably never will.  It was terrible, but thankfully I recovered in almost no time.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png During the week, I couldn't help but notice a strange drop in water pressure in the shower, and it got worse on the weekend. I was afraid of what it might be. I decided to take off the shower head and buy a new one. Thankfully, that fixed everything! :proud: Yay for simple fixes! But it threw off everything I had planned... I was going to finish watching the end of Ducktales Season 3, but I ran out of time. Heck, by the time I finished watching tokusatsu, I didn't have time to post this Sunday night. So if you're wondering why this update is a day late, now you know.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png Zenkaiger 29: The Game Was Fixed. bitgear_32.png Huh, I almost got emotional for a robot bird... This episode played out mostly like filler, with the only big moment happening near the end with a new combining robot and everything else. Of course, the final fight was all CGI, a bit too much for my liking. I still think that much CGI does not belong in Tokusatsu, but if you did a tokusatsu anime in that style, it might be pretty epic!

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png Anyone else notice the sudden increase of trailers, mostly for DC properties?

That's it for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and toot toot, sonic warriors.

Family and food, and tons of both. Can it get any better, my crowd? 1924171.png Let me share the wild ride~

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png The obviously big thing that happened this week... THANKSGIVING!!! :ticking: My uncle, who was previously quarantined due to COVID, was healthy enough to join us and start picking his life back up. We had tons of food; the leftovers of which we are STILL trying to finish off even now. Lots of drinks. And over all, lots of good times. All the hype I felt was worth it for that moment.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png My best set of headphones broke recently. :mlp_okiedokieloki: Hopefully I can replace them with a cordless option. Also, my uncle is getting a demotion because he caught COVID. We're still not entirely sure how or why it is working out like this, but at least he still has a job.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png I sure am glad that this upcoming week is going to be the end of November, because I finished a new banner, one made to celebrate Christmas and New Years. Can't wait to show it off soon. :mlp_smug:

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png MOTU Revelation P.II: New Champions, New Chaptors! 46cfa9ee7a462677ea75bcb6a28e50a78ee758d3 Part two was... BEYOND PHENOMENAL!!! Never have I seen He-Man and his cast of characters fighting like this. Some people were not happy with the first part of this season, but I really hope they were happy with this new set of episodes. It came complete with happy reunions, power struggles like you've never seen, nods to the movie, and even some episode titles that should make long time fans chuckle a little. The ending is mostly a happy ending that wraps everything up. However, there is a final scene that sets up bait for another season, and now I REALLY hope we get part three! I won't spoil the ending, I'll only say this: It's a huge game changer. It's a fine conclusion on its own, but it will leave you wanting more. Next time: Not sure. Might go for a movie, maybe see some more super hero action.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png Zenkaiger 36: A Surprise Headache. bitgear_32.png Gotta say, I am really confused about this episode. Morally, I think I understand what they are trying to say, but I don't think it works here. Zox/Twokaizer tried capturing and torturing the MOTW in an attempt to lure out Hakaizer, and Kaito/Zenkaizer didn't really like it. I think the lesson was about not using such underhanded methods or not stooping to evil's level, but it doesn't really make sense here. They kill these monsters all the time anyways; they haven't set them up as individuals to be saved or rescued. I knew there would come a day where Kaito would give Zox a stern talking-to, but I didn't think THIS would cause it. If anything, the only ones harmed were Zox and his pirate crew, and that doesn't seem to be what made Kaito upset in the first place. I feel like I need to watch this episode again, because I honestly feel like I'm missing something here...

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png Revice 03: Stay On Track! 357335.png Not much to say about this episode. Feels like they are spending more time setting things up; like Ikki/Revi's personal motivations, his brother's inner conflict, and a Deadman host we haven't fully seen yet. The new form this week is based on Den-O, but it didn't have a strong connection to what was happening in this episode. I've all ready said that Ikki and Vice are similar to Ryuta and Momotaro, so that's nothing new. But I will say, this show is doing a good job of making me genuinely hate the enemies and the humans that might as well be enemies.

That's it for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and don't tell me your belly's aching.

Are we reaching levels of food that shouldn't even be possible? It's bread, but it's also pizza. Cooked on a stove top, not in the oven. Gooey, cheesy goodness that makes you come back for more. Furthermore, it's presented in a style similar to How To Basic, but with actual class, style, and genuine information on how to make something! This is "Creamy Potato Pizza is hidden in Crispy Crunchy Bread!! No Oven! Potato Pizza Bread." by 쿠킹하루 Cooking Haru.

@Pastel Heart It's a dream come true, and now I have a reason to cook it some day. B)

@Treeglow Flicker  I've been hearing similar cases happening to other people. From what I understand, my uncle works for a shipping company, driving delivery trucks. The world can't afford to slow down right now, so they probably had to fill in his position at work with someone else. Every day without a driver is business lost. At least they didn't fire him, and maybe he can work his way back up.

@Astral Soul Another random fact: If you spell it differently "Betelgeuse" is also the name of a popular movie from the 80's, which also had a popular animated spin-off. There's still a dedicated crowd hoping to see more some day.

Hey there, my crowd. favicon1.ico Hope your week's been better than mine. Shall we talk about it?

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png I hate to start a weekly summary off with bad news, but I guess the biggest thing was learning that my uncle has COVID. :worry: Based on how irresponsible he's been about it lately, I'm not surprised. I just hope that be the end of this next coming week, he'll be all better. And if he still hasn't gotten vaccinated, then I hope he will strongly reconsider.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png Sorry there is a lack of good news this week, but in slightly less bad news, the weather has been warming up again. It's tried to cool down again near the end of the week, but it hasn't gotten frosty cold again. Would be nice if it at least stayed cold enough to warrant a long sleeve shirt.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png ...I didn't see any movies this week. Sorry. :please: I think the string of bad moments this week just kept me from seeing a good movie. Plus I am getting behind on my YouTube subscription videos again. But at least I am completing some projects I started.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png Zenkaiger 34: Spook Me Silly! bitgear_32.png Watching any holiday episode out of season is going to be strange, but sometimes it can't be helped. The main draw to this episode was the ending, revealing Hakaizer's true identity. The reveal is actually not that big, they've been making it kind of obvious who he is. What makes it interesting is that only the other 4 Zenkaigers saw this reveal, not Kaito/Zenkaizer. They are stretching this out. I mostly expect Kaito to figure out his identity in the following episode, but I would be pleasantly surprised if they actually try to keep it hidden even longer.

That's it for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and please value your health and your existence.

Did I share this? Can't remember. Either way, I know what I'm doing after Thanksgiving. Here's the trailer for Masters Of The Universe: Revelation Part II. This is going to be even more epic than before!

Crazy how things can go from slow and uneventful to suddenly FULL of activity, am I right my crowd? 678421.gif Let's talks about it!

d9o4237-042b9f7a-93ba-4943-950e-fc08fc59 So I guess the biggest thing to happen is kind of a two-part thing that I'll talk about in my next weekly summary too. Monday will be Labor Day, so I took off Friday just so I could have a 4 day vacation. And yeah, I did get to rest and do some fun things, but there was still worked to be done. I'll explain more down below, but at least I got some awesome things out of it!

d9o43j8-ff6991ab-9ee0-46fd-85ad-6366e0fc What did I get, you ask? The biggest thing is, I finally purchased a paint splatter hat that I've had my eye on for a while. Bought it on Amazon, and it'll arrive eventually. As a side surprise, I also got some more ink for my printer, thanks to my mother. Wonderful! Kind of a gift since I ended up sacrificing some of my free time. :adorkable: More on that down below.

d9o4237-042b9f7a-93ba-4943-950e-fc08fc59 NO MOVIE TIME THIS WEEK! And that's because I tired to watch Ducktales this week; tried being key word. I was doing good at the start! I saw 6 episodes; two episodes each day between Monday through Wednesday. I was SUPPOSE to see double that. However, the tail end of the week got away from me. Thursdays I stream on Discord, which eats my free time. Friday night ended with technical difficulties that prevented me from watching more episodes, and it wouldn't stop until my computer slept for the night. Saturday, my mother needed some help. She spent the day remodeling her house, and I was more than happy to help. (Got free ink out of it though!) And the usual Sunday was my day to watch Tokusatsu, so that left no time to watch Ducktales either. HOWEVER!! This was just a trial run. And I have found that during regular weekday evenings, I can fit in WAY more than 2 episodes. So expect much greater progress in the days to come, especially thanks to Monday. :sneer:

d9o43j8-ff6991ab-9ee0-46fd-85ad-6366e0fc This week was Kamen Rider Fourze's 10th Anniversary! IT'S SPACE TIME!!! :yay: Normally I don't care about specific shows like this one, but it's special to me, and it's funny because I've been streaming it as of recently on Discord for some of my friends to see. It's kind of bitter sweet because we may never see the full cast return for a Fourze reunion special; some has retired and one of the cast members joined a crazy religious cult. However, a large chunk of the staring cast did reunite to sing a cover of "Giant Step", one of the insert songs from the show. It's nice knowing not all hope is lost~.

d9o4237-042b9f7a-93ba-4943-950e-fc08fc59 Saber Extra Chapter: One Last Slice! daj17bm-76115871-5676-4c80-b092-68abe8a1 Huh. Rintaro/Blades and Mei. Who knew? Can't say I saw that coming... So this is the bonus episode, the happily ever after special, the one that pads out the episode count. Can't say I particularly liked it since it was just a stretched-out goodbye for the characters. I would have preferred more plot, like maybe explaining how Touma/Saber survived and set things straight from the last episode. But really, this episode has two other strengths. It shows that in the spirit of Heisei's final half, Reiwa will also be a somewhat connected universe also! And I think this might also be an upgrade. Before, we never had Rider doing hand-offs like Super Sentai. Then the new Rider would make teaser appearances in the previous Rider's movie. Now we're doing entire episodes dedicated to the hand-off? What an upgrade! For now, please continue reading to see my full thoughts...

d9o43j8-ff6991ab-9ee0-46fd-85ad-6366e0fc Zenkaiger 25: Watch Your Step Back. bitgear_32.png 25 episodes; the typical halfway point in any 50-episode long series. I guess this would be a fine place to put a flashback episode, though some would prefer it much later. I just prefer flashback episodes to have SOMETHING that advances the story, but that wasn't here. In fact, this episode shows Tojitendo at their dumbest. They really sent one of their monsters back in time without any way of confirming his identity to his superiors?! And I thought they had a brilliant scientist on their team. Oddly enough, that's what helps our heroes out, because Secchan can confirm his identity far more easily. And yet, considering what's about to happen in my life, a flashback episode seems very appropriate right now...

d9o4237-042b9f7a-93ba-4943-950e-fc08fc59 My final thoughts on Kamen Rider Saber, minus the movies since I haven't seen them all... dungeons-and-dragons-attack-wing-silver- This show is a mixed bag. In the beginning, it had an idea of the story it wanted to tell, but it was all over the place in terms of getting there. At one point, I swear they were building up a different kind of story. It was very disorganized, and only somewhat Rider-traditional in certain areas. By the later half, things started getting more focused. Stories that they built up to were beginning to have their payoffs. Dare I say, there were actually good moments. Once again, I hesitate to say anything negative about it because it premiered during COVID season. To some, this show was just what they needed in dark, uncertain times. To those that loved the show, great! Happy for you. However, I was really scared. The first half of the season was WAY heavy on green screen and CGI, to the point where there was little to no live action stuff. I was afraid that this would be the new direction Tokusatsu takes for a while. Thankfully, that was not the case. Vaccines have made things better. We're still not out of danger, but it's now much easier to film out doors and wear masks less often. This was a ride paved with swords and stories. Some stories had a perfect end, some did not. Let's hope that ReVice reminds us what this brand is all about while still doing something fresh.

d9o43j8-ff6991ab-9ee0-46fd-85ad-6366e0fc Sadly with a heavy heart, this is where I have to take a break from Kamen Rider for a while. :worry: It just feels right. As of right now, things are uncertain. There is no fansub group tackling ReVice that is dedicated to it. One group that I am rooting for is uncertain if they want to do it long term. Another group is bad that uses amateur subbing practices. A third is a sub group trying to fix the mistakes of the previous group, but their subs are out of sync. Over-Time seems to be watching themselves, so Zenkaiger is their only project for now. Last of all, backwards legal actions strike again, forcing Berndadelta Fansubs to change the way they release things. I think at this point, I'd rather go back and collect all the fansubbed movies and specials I missed out on previously. Now might be the best chance to get them before they disappear completely. I've become lack and complacent about all these things I want to see, so now it's time for me to make things right. Maybe in 3 to 5 weeks, we'll see what happens with me and ReVice. This is not the end, just a detour in the Ride of life.

That's it for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and thank goodness the status update glitch is gone.

Yep. I'm running out of cool videos to share, so... Here's a meme. Be sure to adjust your volumes for this one folks, it gets loud fast. You might be okay with headphones, but don't watch this with ear buds. This is "green or purple?" by Serarel.

Another unexpectedly big week?! WOW! 2167277.gif Let's talk about it, my crowd.

d9o4237-042b9f7a-93ba-4943-950e-fc08fc59 Biggest thing that happened to me this week? ...Eh, nothing really. Everyone's waiting for the premiere of G5, which means I'm doing my best to avoid any spoilers. Which of course means avoiding using the majority of this forum, avoiding status updates talking about it, and avoiding the majority of videos about it appearing on YouTube. Because I do plan to see it; I just don't want to be spoiled. :sealed: Read the Ducktales paragraph for more info.

d9o43j8-ff6991ab-9ee0-46fd-85ad-6366e0fc SO MUCH SONIC NEWS~! Oh my gah~ :ph3ar: The 30th Anniversary orchestra concert is getting an official album release and so is Sonic Colors Ultimate! Right now it's just digital and vinyl, but knowing Sonic, physical releases won't be far behind. That new song by Dreams Come True finally has a music video. There's crossovers too. G Fuel is releasing a new Sonic flavor, and Sonic is now appearing in the mobile game Cookie Run. Can it get any better?

d9o4237-042b9f7a-93ba-4943-950e-fc08fc59 Many things are getting released and announced know. Speaking of video games, besides all the video games that been announced or teased, Deltarune Chapter 2 was released! I did NOT expect that! It's been so long, I forgot all about it. Now it's time for the hype to come back! I'm glad to see the Aquaman movie is getting a sequel; let's hope it's even better than the last. Hawkeye is getting a mini series. And while it may be a Netflix exclusive, I am excited for "Komi Can't Communicate"! :oh_golly:

d9o43j8-ff6991ab-9ee0-46fd-85ad-6366e0fc DUCKTALES 2017, Season 2. duckmoney_32.png Continuing with the random thoughts I had from watching this season: I love when this show digs into the old Disney library. Let's go, Three Caballeros! And of course, they would do a time-traveling episode. I bet David had a blast recording that. Darn it Donald, why you gotta ruin a perfect reunion?! That Darkwing Movie episode really shows the precarious nature of reboots and Hollywood corporate meddling, but also reinvents Negaduck in a cool new way. Did they SERIOUSLY just make a DBZ joke?! It's good to see the kids learning lessons, but it was way better seeing Louie finally learn his. And that season finale was even more grand than the last! Can't wait to watch S3, but I must. Because before I do, it's time for Pony Life followed by... G4! It's pony time.

d9o4237-042b9f7a-93ba-4943-950e-fc08fc59 Zenkaiger 27: All Search, No Treasure. bitgear_32.png Kind of sad, really. I actually wanted Kaito/Zenkaiser to find his mother in this episode. I was honestly expecting a complete double bluff, where it looks like they failed only to find she was on Earth the entire time. I guess I should be happy that they are building up to a great reunion, but this one time I actually wanted the heroes to have this one. Oh well, the show must go on. Also, I totally predicted Magine was impersonating Mitsuko as soon as I saw her mannerisms.

That's it for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and keep building up.

Been a busy week for me, my crowd. Some fun things, some not so fun things. 641912.gif Let's grab some popcorn, my crowd.

d9o4237-042b9f7a-93ba-4943-950e-fc08fc59 I guess the BIGGEST thing that happened to me this week is the sudden huge number of trailers dropping all at once.  I am completely indifferent about the Eternals trailer, but I am glad it's a movie and not a TV show, and I must say it looked more like a Superman movie than the actual Superman movies these days. Pokemon made some announcements, but I don't really care that much. Star Wars Visions has me the MOST excited! The movies lately have been either hit or miss, but I am hoping that Visions will be so creatively new that it'll be good. But that CGI He-Man trailer... I've heard good things and bad things about it, but nothing is helping. I guess all I can do is watch it and see, but this version of He-Man might not be for me. (Seriously, why does he still have a young teen voice when he has transformed into a muscular adult?!)

d9o43j8-ff6991ab-9ee0-46fd-85ad-6366e0fc I also saw Rise of the Wisp, Episode 1. Loved it to bits! :D Sonic is acting like the Sonic we know and love in many ways. A wisp makes a noble sacrifice that I just was not expecting, Metal Sonic is a new kind of cruel and merciless. And you can tell the voice actors had fun with this too. Sonic Colors Ultimate is worth it for this alone. Well, this and the new soundtrack.

d9o4237-042b9f7a-93ba-4943-950e-fc08fc59 I know this kind of an odd thing to talk about, but... Hideo Kojima, of Metal Gear Solid fame, recently talked about Kamen Rider on social media. I wonder what the probability of him directing a Kamen Rider TV series would be. :ooh:

d9o43j8-ff6991ab-9ee0-46fd-85ad-6366e0fc MOVIE TIME! icon?1379626399 I just saw Finding Dory, the sequel to Finding Nemo. This is a good movie; perhaps not as good as the first, but this is a good movie. Hard to fully explain my thoughts on this... First of all, I'm kind of glad that this movie got a theatrical release. Even though the events could have been told in a direct-to-video sequel, I feel the journey of this story would not have been as epic nor as wild. Secondly, the lesson of this movie isn't quite the adult-level, gut-punch of a lesson that the first movie had. Rather, this is about wrapping up loose ends and giving everyone a well deserved happy ending. You might have mixed feeling about happy endings, but I can honestly say that this was so good, we don't even need a third movie (even if the after-credits scene says otherwise). Perhaps that's poetically fitting considering how Ellen was in some controversy as of recently. Still, I liked many things about this movie. Even the comedy felt better here than the first. So over all, a great set of self-contained stories that feel like a passion project. Next time... Promare.

d9o4237-042b9f7a-93ba-4943-950e-fc08fc59 Saber 46: This is Saber! daj17bm-76115871-5676-4c80-b092-68abe8a1 Yes, if you saw the end of this episode, then you know what meme I'm quoting. So this final boss villain has gone full over-the-top hysterical, but it seems he does have genuine motivation. Still, I think Touma/Saber's motivations are much stronger. I am actually genuinely surprised. I feel like in most other situations, this would be the final episode. Instead, they let the revelations in this episode ruminate and carry the weight they deserve. And also, I am glad I didn't hold my breath on any character deaths.

d9o43j8-ff6991ab-9ee0-46fd-85ad-6366e0fc Zenkaiger 23: Staging Stacey. bitgear_32.png Gotta say, I'm indifferent about this episode. It was pretty cool seeing the Battle Caesar Robo pulling off a DaiRanger finishing move. However, in terms of plot, there wasn't much here. In the end, it was more about showing what the new toys super forms can do. I will say, I like how they are trying to fit a lot of functions into the same toys. Might make the kids feel like they don't have to collect as much. But everything else is just padding, setting up for more story down the line.

That's it for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and remember those who have been good to you.

For those that know me or want to know me in real life, I enjoy a good piece of head wear. From casual pieces such as the ball cap and the beanie, all the way to elegant pieces like top hats and wide-brim fedoras. But there is a lack of people wearing the latter, to the point where fedoras of any kind are getting negatively associated with less-than-stellar kinds of people. This video attempts to answer why fancy hats have fallen out of fashion. There are still more reasons, and you can read the comment section to find out the rest, but this is a good starting place. And yes, I will continue to love a good, fashion-forward hat. This is "Why Did Men Stop Wearing Hats?" by Gentleman's Gazette.

I use to-- Use to-- Use to-- Use to-- Now I'm over that. 204095.gif Hi there, my crowd. Let's talk about things.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png I guess I should call the 4th of July the biggest thing this week? I mean, it really wasn't that big a deal for me. I all ready celebrated a day early. Plus, I guess I should mention that there was tragedy that day... :sunny: I won't go into details. If you know, you know. I feel bad for those involved, but I am glad that neither my family nor I live anywhere near that. Just more proof that nothing is sacred anymore. Not churches, not schools, and not peaceful holiday gatherings. Still, getting back on subject, I managed to have fun! I had friends to hang out with, a day off, and all the chili dogs I could eat.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png Speaking of sad news, I guess I should mention what happened in Japan. With my username of choice, it'd be strange of me not to bring it up. I feel bad for the Prime Minister and his family. I am sure there are many ways to spend this. Just keep in mind that the situation is handled. The shooter turned himself in; so it's over. Japan still has better gun control laws than America and perhaps other countries ever will. This is the first major account of gun violence in a long time that the international press has known of. If you wish you say anything further about the situation, please just be supportive and understanding. No need to make this any more political than it is. >_>

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png To be honest, the best day came AFTER the 4th of July! I learned that Shout Factory has not given up on giving us Tokusatsu fans physical copies of our favorite media. Kamen Rider Kuuga is getting a Bluray release with the individual sub tracks that it so rightfully deserves! (If you saw Kuuga or did the research, you understand.) But the biggest miracle of all, with the help of Hasbro's international subsidiary eOne Entertainment, we are finally getting more SUPER SENTAI DVD boxsets!! :mlp_yeehaa: Starting with Fiveman, a pre-Zyu series (pre-Mighty Morphin), which to me is the right direction to go in. If there's still some unsettled legal issues from either Toei, Saban, or Hasbro; then there's plenty of fans that would love to see that backlog of Sentai that started it all. I also hope the quality of subtitles improves, because Kamen Rider has really raised the bar.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png My uncle did it again. He bought a DJ mixer/music controller device. Apparently he didn't learn his lesson. This time, he bought an Akai Professional/Ableton APC40 MK.II. I've never once had or experienced a device like this, let alone the software. From what little I've learned on my own, most people start out with a more simple device. I'm a beginner going in with a slightly more advanced device. I hope I can do SOMETHING with it. My uncle has decided to give me a week to try and master it. I hope I can. If I can, then I might start making music with it! If not, I'll give it back to my uncle and let him get his money back.  Part of me thinks I should just give it back to him. He spent over a hundred dollars on it. Devices like this you don't just gift to someone, not unless you're extremely well off.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png Random updates! I tried Sonic's Sour Patch Slush Float. Don't know what to think about the random vanilla ice cream in the middle of it. Still, it was good, and a little unexpected! Part of me would have liked bigger sour candies in it instead of ground up candy bits (since they all sank to the bottom); however, the sour coating mixed in with the slush. I think it was made with a cherry slush, but it became sour cherry instead! That was awesome! Makes me want to try it with other flavors instead. I also saw the trailer for the Rise of the TMNT movie! Excited for that, but also hoping this new male Casey Jones is related to the first female one. Really don't want him to be a retcon/replacement for her.

But don't worry, I got started on SSSS, and this will be the last few episodes before I give my over-all review.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png DonBrothers 18: Selfless VS Selfish! osnb5Gt.png Some might be annoyed by the lack of Ranger action here, but I love these character pieces. We hardly ever got anything like this in Zenkaiger. Some might hate the anticlimactic ending of how they couldn't bring themselves to strike Taro while his guard was down, but I think that misses the point of the scene. I think it shows that these heroes would rather rise up and surpass him the honest way instead of resorting to lies and cheap tricks. It was so heart-felt that I almost forgot that this was the premiere of Don Murasame! Now I just want to know if this is a male or female character. With such a soft voice, it could go in either direction.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png ReVice 42: Dancing with Vail.  nynjRij.png Many would argue that a good story is not just one that makes you feel; it's one that challenges you to think. We got a little of both here. Seems George's father was never going to transform. Instead, he helped Genta reunite with his demon and entrap Vail. All of which allowed Genta to make peace with his demon and his past. I don't think anyone believed this moment would happen, yet at the same time, I think we all knew a final confrontation was inevitable. The interesting thing is that Genta also did this to set an example for Daiji/Live. Apparently Daiji hated the alignment he chose, but he was stuck with it because he couldn't forgive himself, but his father showed him how to forgive yourself. Did this really work? Guess we'll see next time. It's not the ending to the evil Daiji arc that I was expecting, but it challenges me to stop and think about it, and I like that.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png MLP TYT 17: I'll Be There For You~! :ooh: Upon second watching, I have to say this is still not the worst episode, but I can kind of understand if some don't like it. It doesn't really go anywhere in particular. It's a standard switch-place-for-a-day episode. The Mane 5 take on the Queen's responsibilities, and the Queen gets to relax a bit. I was afraid she would try and use this moment to encourage her daughter Zipp to take the throne after all. You know, show her that she can handle it after all, then coax her into it. Thankfully, that did not happen! Instead, the Mane 5 gained a new appreciation and respect for all she does, and it was nice. ... Also, did anyone else notice the sudden use of classical, public domain music? That doesn't bode well...

That's all for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and protect your eyes.

I use to call these things Sunday Musings. Maybe I should call them Monday Musings? 204089.gif Nah. Let's just talk about it, my crowd.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png Nothing super huge happened in the week we just finished. :adorkable: I was expecting to do some household renovations with the help of my uncle, but he had other priorities over the weekend. I did have a surprise job to take care of, but that was handled easily. My neighbor wanted me to water their garden while they were away, and that was a one-day job. Now I am just waiting for them to return.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png Elements of Justice released a new episode and I got to see that! :pinkie: And let's not forget, Sonic Origins was released as well! Sadly, some of the S3&K music had to replaced due to possible ties to Michael Jackson, even though the Genesis/Mega Drive music should have all ready been cleared of his involvement. They went back to the beta music, which was heard in other ports like the original PC port. And sadly, neither Metal nor Amy are playable in Sonic CD... Still, it's great just to have playable, HD versions of these classic games! And depending on what platform you get Origins, you can mod the game to bring back that OG music.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png NO SUPERHUMAN SAMURAI SYBER-SQUAD THIS WEEK! HB4hUOc.png I tried to watch some episodes, but ran out of time once again. Sometimes I can squeeze them in, sometimes I can't.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png MOVIE TIME! icon?1379626399 This time, I saw Morbius. He's NOT Venom! But seriously, despite referencing that other property in the movie, this one feels like a slightly better version of the story telling formula they used in Venom and Venom 2. Guy with superpowers that should make him evil and kills a few people in the beginning, somehow manages to hone his powers for the sake of good, and also defeats an evil duplicate of himself that can't be reason with. The difference, thankfully, is that Morbius doesn't turn into a scene-stealing ham when he's a vampire. However, that's where the compliments fall short. The movie only succeeds in being dumb fun, because if you apply any logic to it, you'll be lost for days. There are dramatic moments in this movie that could have easily been avoided if the people involved actually did a better job of communicating. The finale and the after-credit scene make no sense. It almost feels likes this movie could have used a few more scenes just to make it a little more cohesive. I will say though, from all the negative talk online, I was expecting this movie to be far worse. I'm almost disappointed that it was actually kind of fun! I would have preferred a movie that was less dumb, but it's still fun. Best thing is, if this movie does get a sequel, the fans have all ready written lines of dialogue for them to use. I swear, I just found something almost worse than spoilers; fake movie quotes that actually sound believable. I actually waited to see if he really was going to say “It's Morbin' Time!” ...Next time, I may or may not watch the newest Bevis and B***head movie.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png DonBrothers 16: And Everyone Cheered? osnb5Gt.png Yeah, I don't remember the classic folk tale of Momotaro ending that way. So Don Gragoku goes evil when he gets a lack of praise and attention, and blames it on the MOTW? Sorry, but that don't fly with me. Other western fans that can't read the context or the subtitles might think that, but you aren't fooling me nor Oni Sister. The only reason his apology worked is because Kiji Brother went through something similar, so they are all ready in a position to be forgiving. (I feel like this moment in the plot is exactly why they turned Kiji's dark side into a monster.) We saw the debut of Dragoku's miniature form, but it hardly matters. The MOTW was based on ZyuRanger, but the host had no connection other than he was playing a game with dinosaurs in it. However, Don Dragoku was able to steal the other DonBrothers' powers in the form of sunglasses. I wonder if that will be a plot point in future episodes...

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png ReVice 40: Wherefore Art Thou, Brother? nynjRij.png Yeah, there's hardly a point talking about the rest. The main event was Ikki trying to save Daiji, and it failed. I really wanted Ikki to win this! But it just didn't work. I really felt like Ikki was on the verge of a breakthrough his with his brother! I don't blame Ikki for using a Giffard Finish, even if it was overkill. Becoming a martyr wasn't going to change Daiji's mind, and making him see reason was only wearing him down so much. I just hate that Akaishi teleported in to take Daiji away, and that he twisted the knife by calling Daiji his family. I want to collapse right there with Ikki. And I guess I should talk about Mr. Ushijima's sacrifice. On the one hand, I am glad it wasn't Hikaru/Over Demons. He hasn't had a chance to come into himself as a character. On the other hand, I almost wish Mr. Ushijima didn't have sacrifice himself. Still, at least we got some resolution on why he was so distant, why he was so dedicated to his work, and why he was afraid to let his fellow operatives in has new family.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png MLP TYT 15: I Sparkle, Youth Shine! :o The episode was pretty good, to be honest! Once again, the continuity and attention to detail catches me by surprise. I was not expecting an episode focused on Zipp using her detective goggles, but I was hoping for it, and this show delivered. I was not expecting ANYTHING to come from the magical glitter from last episode, yet here we are. The only thing kind of dumb was Pipp using the glitter without thinking, but Pipp has always been kind of a go-with-the-flow, live-in-the-moment kind of character, so it works a little better for her. Most all, it was her creativity that fixed the mess she made in the first place. So I'd say any negative aspects this episode had are completely balanced.

That's all for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and mind your schedule.

Posting for relevence. Alumx did it again! This is "Solstice.mp4" by Alumx. Also, what is the name of that song?

It's almost over... I hope. 204080.gif Let's talk about it, my crowd.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png The biggest thing that happened this week was the premiere of My Little Pony: Make Your Mark episode 1 (G5), which I will talk more about below. Other then that, nothing. This has been a largely uneventful week. The forum where I post these status updates is glitching; thought it would be fixed by now, so I am starting to get worried... :sunny: I may need to reconsider where I post these weekly summaries. Other then that, the weather has been up and down here, causing my allergies to go nuts a few times.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png NO SUPERHUMAN SAMURAI SYBER-SQUAD THIS WEEK! HB4hUOc.png I decided to watch some movies instead. I may watch another soon as well, but I'd like to make time for this first. Don't worry, episode reviews WILL return soon. It's just so hard to get invested in a show that can be mind-numbingly dumb sometimes.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png MLP TYT 11: Halt, then Watch.  ...Um, oopsies? Anyone avoiding spoilers might want to see Make Your Mark before watching this episode. Thanks to the trailers, I know MYM is about Earth ponies discovering their own brand of magic. This episode of TYT shows Earth ponies with magic, and it came out roughly the same time, therefore it was meant to be seen after MYM. ...And I saw it in the opposite order... Still, it's a mostly solid episode. Pipp has a bad day, and her friends make it up to her. The only part that didn't fit was the recycling of the Mane Melody song, even though they weren't at Mane Melody. Guess the budget for songs ran out?

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png MLP MYM 01: Go Blind or Go Home. >_> I am having the hardest time finding a fair and balanced perspective. My biggest gripe is the spoilers. It's one thing when people spoil stuff online, it's another when all the trailers pretty much give away the major plot reveals, and that's what happened here. I saw all the trailers, and because of that, there was almost no surprise. On top of that, there are some minor gripes. Hitch's character flirts the line with being the team's idiot character, the plot is a little predictable and G4 all ready did it, and there's the subtle downgrade in animation quality. It's still better than the 2D shorts, but it's hard to ignore the changes too. It's also a little hard to go from a movie that explored parts of Equestria never seen before, to a big special that insists on keeping things in one location, but that's still a minor gripe as well. Perhaps the biggest problem is that we the fandom want more lore drops and story drops, but we're not really getting that. Instead, this series is playing the long game, and that can be it's own level of annoying. If you can't make good on what you build up, you risk diminishing returns, and then the fandom starts dropping out. However, this special does have a twist ending that does promise more, bigger things. Again, I am hoping it can make good on that promise. For now, if anyone has not seen this, the best advice I can give is just go in blind. You don't need the trailers this time. You don't need previews. Let the experience speak for itself.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png TOKUSATSU MOVIE TIME! icon?1379626399 I recently saw Kamen Rider Beyond Generations. I am having the hardest time trying to decide if I like this movie. It's not that any part of it is bad, it's just that it's going for two different tones that don't compliment each other. On the one hand, you've got the very down-to-earth story being told with the ReVice characters and the brand new ones made just for this movie. On the other hand, you've got the over-the-top campy story inspired by the vintage Showa Era of Kamen Rider. This movie is trying so hard to marry the two styles, and in doing so is failing to show why these two styles of fiction were endearing in the first place. If you're a kid, you might like it. If you're an adult, you'll find the story dense, confusing, and a touch of tonal-whiplash on top. I almost want to remove the anniversary stuff or the nods to the Showa Era, but this is the franchise's anniversary, so it needed to be there. I could write a better story, I am sure the writers could as well, but it wouldn't be what the studio wanted. Hopefully the upcoming Shin Kamen Rider would be better; because ReVice and Saber's TV series are much better on their own. Like I said, this is not a bad movie. As long as you understand that you're in for a not-completely-cohesive roller-coaster, if you like stories that are all over the place, you might like this. Also, F in the chat for Hiroshi Fujioka retiring from acting as the original Kamen Rider. His son did his best to take up the mantle, but it's clearly a role he'll need to grow into before he gets better at it. (And that's a topic worth talking about separately.)

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png DonBrothers 12: The Cold, Metal Truth. osnb5Gt.png Ultimately, this episode has substance. As Don Momotaro wrestles with his apparently fatal inability to tell to tell lies, there were many ways I could have seen this episode being resolved. Instead, we never go down that direct method. Momotaro is given a lot to think about and he still has a ways to go, but he can at least double down on being a good friend. And besides, we all know the real draw of this episode. It's Gattai Time! I absolutely love it!! Onitaijin starts off small then becomes big, he is clearly modeled after samurai armor, each component carries the personality of each DonBrother, he looks like something from Gurren Lagann, and he's so full of Japanese culture! This reveal was WELL worth the wait! Once more, there are multiple monsters, but the main MOTW seems to be themed after KyuRanger. No actual connection to the show, just pure randomness.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png ReVice 36: Basking in the Bee Hive!nynjRij.png So many elements to really appreciate, some more so than others... I've seen other characters in tokusatsu with Hana and Tamaki's dynamic, but here it makes sense. Here, we can see that Takami means well, but he also isn't acknowledging Hana the way she wants to be recognized, made event by the fact that he still calls her Lady Aguilera. Also, Hana may be taking Takami for granted. They could go further then that (maybe they will), but for now the big thing is Hana reinventing herself as Kamen Rider Aguilera! Been a while since we've seen a bee-themed Rider. I saw images, but her suit design has grown on me, and now I want to see her and Jeanne kicking butt as a female Rider duo! But what REALLY took me by surprise is the social commentary! I can't believe they actually threw in a reference to COVID and getting vaccinated! However, it's too soon to say if it's a good analogy or not. Director Akaishi is up to something, Dr. Akemi wants to be sacrificed, and Daiji is getting tossed and beaten. Who knows where the story will go. I just wish we could have seen Kamen Rider Julio too...

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png Vail 05: A Painful Conclusion. 357335.png And thus, the story of Vail is over. I don't think it was necessary to throw in the detail about surgically giving Genta a new face; it also raises more questions really. But it's good to see how it all happened and how it all lead up to ReVice. I am beginning to think this story won't end until Genta faces Vail one last time. I got that while watching ReVice 36, and I get that feeling here. This special also explains other things about the main series too. But now it's time for the Igarashi family to do their thing.

That's all for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and stand by.

I love color theory and learning more about it. This video is right up my alley, but if you're an inspiring artist, this might just work for you as well. Some of the things in this video were fun to learn. Some I all ready knew. Other points I had to learn the hard way. If you love color, but you're having trouble finding the right balance or achieving the right look, this might just be for you. Would you hug me? I'd hug me. 250633.gif Let's talk about the week we just finished, my crowd!

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png I had a really big, happy day on Friday. I got to go to Starbucks clone, get a haircut, get some new hand lotion that smells amazing, and even try some new foods! ^_^ But most of all, I have set things in motion to switch Phone/Internet/Cable services. Things are not looking as cheap as I thought, so I may have to settle for a downgrade in Internet speed. I'm not sure. Point is, things are in motion, and I'm a little nervouscited!

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png But there have been some bits of bad news here and there. :sunny: Another family member passed away. It was a distant family member, not someone I'm super close to or anything, but it's still sad to hear. Also, my hair is thinning in the back. 👀 ...Okay. I mean, it's not really in a spot where you can tell, and it's not thinning by a HUGE amount. Even I wasn't aware when the stylist told me. So I'll probably forget. But if it does become a bigger thing when I get older, I'll have to look into clinical hair treatments. I don't want to gain a big bald spot on my head like my uncle.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png Let's talk about the foods I tried! :pinkie: I got this Smores flavored drink at the coffee shop. It was good! I may go back there sometime since they have Pumpkin Spice now. I also tried Albanese brand Sour Gummy Bears. Y'all, this hits different. It's not just sour crystals on the outside, they have sour flavor baked into the gummies, so it's sour through-and-through. I swear, Grape was the most sour thing. Speaking of, they put TONS of different flavors in one bag. Last of all, the gummies are not super firm, they are jiggly and fun to eat. If you can ever splurge an extra dollar or so, pick these up, you will not be disappointed! Last of all, I got to try Mexican street corn. It was so good~! I don't usually have corn, not a fan of it, but I'd go back to this any time!

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png On Saturday, there was some kind of holiday, and there were many theaters in America that were selling movie tickets for $3 only. While my mother and I did plan to go, we ultimately skipped. We realized there was no movie we were dying to see; and that we'd be going just to go. Holiday aside, they must have purposefully picked a good time for this, because there's no blockbuster hit movies out right now! If they had done this in the summer or winter, the lines/waiting time would be a mile long! But it's fine. No big loss for us. Just gave us more time to do other, important things. For me, I have more time to catch up on all the anime I missed, and I am making some good progress. :BrightMacContent:Attack on Titan was disappointing, Shenmue was pretty good, and I am still enjoying Yashahime quite a lot!

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png ReVice 49: A Drawn Out Goodbye. nynjRij.png This is it. The final moments. It's a delay of the inevitable. It's interesting, though. Just like ReVice has done so many times before, it did things I predicted, but also did other things that I didn't predict. Before this episode, I predicted Ikki and Vice might leave, relying only on each other and whatever the future holds. They did leave, I just wasn't expecting them to actually inform their family, let alone did I expect to see Ikki job hunting. I expected to see Vice pretend to be a villain to reverse the effects of Ikki's memory loss, but he isn't trying to kill himself, he's just trying to make their contract null and void. I almost wish they didn't drag this out to one last episode...

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png ReVice 50: Conquering Your Vice! 357335.png It's an ending that is done beautifully and also kind of cold. We have a final send off moment, but instead of fighting a final boss at base form, the base form and basic upgrades are used for one last moment of fun between Ikki/Revi and Vice before they have to say goodbye. Ikki sure has made a huge family. In the end, Ikki gets what he always wanted, a happy ending where everyone can smile and relax at the bathhouse, and maybe he has inherited a little of Vice's spirit after all. But unlike other shows that try to end on a hopeful message, they don't try to bring Vice back or even hint at it. They show us how there are no photos of Vice, no hint of his ghost, and no clues that he might return after all. We get many things, but not that. It's sad knowing that his brother and sister get to keep their demons, but as the show says, there is nothing wrong with either of these scenarios. Just means you're at different parts of your life. Some are growing, some have grown up, but we all need to make peace with our inner demons and live the fullest life we can.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png So, my final thoughts on the TV series Kamen Rider ReVice... I loved this show. From Zero One, to Saber, and now ReVice. I am happy to see that the first three shows of the Reiwa era have only been getting better and better! ReVice ended up being many things; a fun ride, a tale of suspense, tragedy and hope, a collection of many surprise plot twists, a story about self-discovery and making peace with who you are, and a coming of age story at the end. Truly this series has something for everyone, and it does so in such a sincere way that it tugs at the heart strings episode after episode. Some may compare Ikki/Revi and Vice's dynamic to that of Ryuta and the Imagins from Kamen Rider Den-O. It's been too long and I saw Den-O under a less-than-favorable translation, but I honestly don't think it's fair to compare. I've seen people who love Den-O end up hating ReVice, so the same is probably true the opposite way. If you hated Den-O, you might like ReVice instead. I like it because it gave me the story and character development I wanted to see when I was watching Den-O. Not that I want to imply one show is inferior, they did different things. I am just saying that for me, this brought things to an even more personal and sentimental level that I had always been looking for. No offense to Den-O and it's success, but I'd rather have 1 Vice than a bunch of Imagins any day. This show was great. I loved it from beginning to end; and I was afraid I might not. The only problem is that this sets a high bar of expectation for what's next. Good luck, Geats.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png Sadly, I won't be watching Geats right away.  Sadly, just like with ReVice when it began, there is now a sub war going on in the fansub community to see who will sub Kamen Rider Geats and who will stick with it. So far, only 3 groups have stepped up to sub the first episode, and I have reservations about all of them. I wish Over-Time, the best in the community, would step up and sub it, but they may be done with Kamen Rider. I have my 2nd choice picks, but we'll have to see what happens in the coming weeks. May the best fansub group win.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png DonBrothers 26: Don Bother. osnb5Gt.png Yawn. A recap episode, and they don't even advance the story, they just play it up for jokes. Lame. Skip this episode; it's not worth watching.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png MLP TYT 26: Pup & Stuff. :ooh: Not much to say here. Dog goes missing, and everyone comes together to find it. Solid filler episode. Nothing super exciting happens, but there's no bad writing or immersion-breaking either. Surprised that dog is still alive after eating soap; so I am guessing this magical creature is just built different. It almost made Hitch look dumb, but I think it was just a brain-fart moment for him. Even the episode itself tries to paint it as such. However, Zipp shows that she really does have detective skills through and through. And Pipp manages to really show the benefits of an online following! Way to go, ladies.

hat's all for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and check your wires.

Sometimes, you just wish you could turn back the hands of time, my crowd... 570919.png Let's talk about it.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png I can't exactly sidestep or sugar coat this... The biggest thing that happened this week was my aunt Holly passing away. Before anyone says anything, I'm fine. I barely knew my aunt in life, so I'm not as broken up about it. Really, it's my family that is more heart broken. My aunt was closest to my mother, uncles, and my grandfrather-in-law. :sunny: I think my uncles are recovering, but my mother is still holding in a lot of pain. For her, the realization doesn't fully kick in until later. Not sure what's going to happen in New Zealand where my aunt lived, but there's nothing that we can do about it other than get updated by her next-of-kin.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png But it's not all bad news. Speaking of my mother, I at least managed to finish shopping for her Christmas presents. :twilightcutehat:I got to try some new things, see some new (to me) Christmas movies, and make time for some fun after all. I'll go into those further. Perhaps the biggest news are the two new trailers that dropped for Sonic Frontiers and Sonic the Movie 2! They dropped shortly after the bad news I just mentioned, but I am still SUPER hyped regardless!

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png I can't remember if I tried this before, but just in case this is the first time, I finally tried the “Bang” brand of energy drinks. Two of them, actually! They had a two-for-one special. The first one I tried was simply called “Star Blast”, which I guess is their Original or Standard flavor. It's not too bad! It's a little sweet, but not too sweet. It's an understated but still-there flavor, and the liquid is transparent. The other flavor is “Rainbow Unicorn”, and I have no idea what it's suppose to be. To me, it kind of tastes like cotton candy, but again it's a subdued kind of sweetness. The ingredients list doesn't help either; all chemicals. Likewise, the liquid is transparent. The can says it's made for those who don't want a super hard crash nor a spike in blood sugar. Makes me wonder if you can really call it an energy drink, or if it's just a sweet drink. Either way, it's not bad if partial sweetness is your thing. :dashcutehat:

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png And now... Christmas Movie Time! icon?1379626399 I managed to stream three movies, two of which are different takes on "A Christmas Carol". First I saw "An American Christmas Carol (1979)". Long review short, it's a very stream-lined version. What it does right is make good on the Mandela Effect that the classic story, this time having Scrooge fire this movie's version of Bob Cratchit in the first half. However, it is brought down by the fact that the characters know about Dickens' story. If they know, shouldn't Scrooge be a little harder to redeem? Next, I saw "A Christmas Carol (2000)". This one is actually British, going back to the story's homeland. It just feels right this way, and no fourth-wall breaking to bring the story down. It's modern and a little brutal, but they make it work. What they do right is having this version of Scrooge win Bella's (Belle) heart honestly so that everyone truly gets a happy ending. Last of all, I saw "Santa and the Three Bears". It's not bad, but I can see why there's been a lack of effort to restore this movie. It even has an unnecessary live-action intro. Honestly, you're better off watching one of those Yogi Bear Christmas specials.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png Zenkaiger 38: I'll Be Dead For The Holidays! bitgear_32.png Now that is just the kind of episode I've been looking for. Admittedly the MOTW was rather lame, especially when he's making an army of senior citizens rather than ancestors that passed at a young age. However, the true heart of the story is what happens mostly in the later half. Stacey is reunited with his dead mother, and seeing her turn evil suddenly makes him wonder if doing the same thing to Kaito/Zenkaizer is right or not. Furthermore, they are setting up for an even greater next episode! At least I hope so. It sure took a while to get to this point, but I'm glad we're here.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png Revice 05: ReVice VS Japan?! 357335.png Wow. This episode hits way too close to home, for me at least. It tackles big issues that are present in Japan as we speak, but not in the best of way (I almost sided with the 'villain'). It even takes a less-than-wonderful swing at YouTubers, which is ironic considering some drama that's been happening on YouTube recently. I could go into a big ol' deep dive about these issues and my grievances, but I think it's better to move on. The episode treats it as a connecting bridge to other plot points, so I will treat it the same. I mean, it ends with a Kuuga stamp and the reveal of a new Rider! It also confirms my suspicions, that “Kuuga” is perhaps another way of saying “Cougar” in Japanese. And even though I have some very personal feelings about this episode, it still proves just how deep and profound ReVice really is.

That's it for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and save some cake for me.

I am just beside myself this week, my crowd. I had a funny meme video to post based on Sonic the Movie 2, but that was before the actual trailer dropped. I want to post BOTH Sonic trailers! But I only have room for one video... Thankfully, Agrol has got me covered with this new animation video called "Snow Castle [Animation]". I would have preferred to see Twilight be part of this honestly, but I get the feeling we still have more to see from Agrol. What a nice way to celebrate the holidays this year~.

Have you been thoroughly haunted, my crowd? navatar36030_4.gif Let's talk about it~

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png The biggest thing this week for me was Halloween! :LunaMCM: I ate some candy; not too much. I got to watch the shows I planned. I originally planned to watch some tokusatsu movies, but the ones I had my eyes on still aren't subbed yet. So I decided to settle for something else...

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png I should go ahead and mention this, I guess... My aunt is not doing so good in terms of health, again. I've reported on this many times back when I did my weekly summaries on DeviantArt. Part of the reason why I don't want to keep reporting on it is because it could be another false alarm. She could just be having another dive of bad health before she gets better again. Still, this one has got my family upset again. Just so everyone knows, if anything happens to my aunt, this is not a sudden development. It's something she has been battling with for a while now. We all expect the worst but hope for the best.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png There were some other cool things that came out of this week. Shout Factory will be releasing their official sub of Kamen Rider Ryuki soon, Part 2 of He-Man Revelations was teased, and I got a haircut. All of that is pretty sweet. :D And while I did just finish celebrating Halloween, I still have Dia De Los Muertos look forward to.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png I decided to watch the first episode of Kamen Rider ReVice. We're coming up on 10 episodes now. I'm still in a tough position. It won't be long before a quarter of the show is over, and I'm still in the same position I was when I started. The only dedicated group keeping up with this show is one I am professionally against. I still don't morally agree with one of the main actors. Honestly, I just wish Over-Time would stop being wishy-washy about this and just get back to subbing Rider. It's been long enough to reveal that Toei's official YouTube channel isn't going to sub more than 2 episodes of any recent Rider show. They don't seem to have enough money with their head branch to clear more than two episodes per show. I think the fansub groups are mostly in the clear again. :mlp_wat:

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png ReVice 01: What's Your Vice?! 357335.png I must say, I am liking this introduction. It feels so different. If Zenkaiger is written like an old school Sentai, they found a boring way to do it, which is such a waste of the potential they started with. ReVice, at least this first episode, seems to be written like an old school Kamen Rider; but they found a way to mix things up so that it's still interesting and engaging! Makes it harder for me to decide if I want to keep watching or not. Basically, if the following episodes deliver as well as this one, then I'd keep coming back for more!

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png Zenkaiger 33: Nothing Learned. bitgear_32.png A school episode, with a subtle Great Teacher Onizuka reference that I doubt most kids would recognize these days. I guess it's cool that GTO still has a long lasting legacy after all this time, but I'm not sure why it's here. Either way, the episode was just meh for me.

That's it for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and don't worry, the witching hour's over.

Sorry this is late. I took on too many tasks over the weekend. Forgive me? 250631.gif Let's talk about the week that past, my crowd~

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png There is nothing major that is happening in my life right now, just some things that deserve my attention. There are some legal matters I am still working out. Nothing to post yet until I have more details. But I am also considering changing some of my monthly services. I would love to save some money where I can. Might even consider cutting the cord and sticking only to internet. Hate to lose access to Cartoon Network go, but that might not matter in the future anyways... :sunny: Read on to learn more.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png So it's too soon to say for sure what is going to happen, but Warner Bros. is pushing towards focusing on their digital content, and also they are cutting ties with animation. This could mean the death of Cartoon Network, but the people at CN are fighting back against this. They are trying to protect their creators and the content they haven't even had a chance to release yet. Even the fans of animation are doing their best to show that this is a bad financial move. I hope things work out. I know we live in a digital age, but I hate the idea of CN being born and dying in my lifetime instead of introducing it to my future children or grandchildren. The world still loves animation. The entire reason CN exists is because people wanted a one-stop place for all their animation needs, at any time of day. If Warner Bros. is really willing to scrap this for greedy reasons, then nothing is safe. What else might they be willing to cut in the future? :okiedokieloki: Chasing trends is not a sustainable business.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png But there are fun things that happened! :kirin: After a long drought, we got two days of rain and some cooler weather, and we might be getting more of that. I recently saw something on TV that showed Amelia Earhart's remains were finally found. And the biggest thing of all... The lost American Sailor Moon pilot made by Saban has been found! You can now watch it in clear detail on YouTube instead of through fuzzy con footage. No more laughing audience members or shaky cam! My thoughts on this? I probably would not have watched this, not unless the first few episodes were REALLY good. Honestly, I don't think it was canceled because of negative fan feedback. I think it was canceled because it would have been WAY too expensive to produce.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png DonBrothers 23: In The Dog's House! osnb5Gt.png Don Dragoku and Don Torabolt have separated into two people, but now they can become giant combining robots! And I am digging that new background for it too. The MOTW is based on GekiRanger, the host's ties to it are the absolute most forced, but at least we got to see some DaiRanger VS GekiRanger action out of it. However, the main event was what happened with Inu Brother. I NEVER expected that surprise twist at the end! It definitely made up for watching endless minutes of bad CGI moving around on screen. I really hope Toei never does this again. Seriously, it's like someone saw the 3D models used in augmented reality stuff and said "That's good enough for TV!". By comparison, the giant robot CGI is WAY better.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png DonBrother 24: The Prince and The Son? DBS-rot_McDart_Dartboard_Surround_Rot_1u Once more, this show proves they pick weird times to do filler stories. Depending on who you are, you will either think this episode is too good for DonBrothers or just kind of cliché. I fit into the latter because I've seen stories like this before, but it was sweet of Don Momotaro to learn piano for the lonely old mother. As far as I can tell, the MOTW was completely original.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png ReVice 47: No Fear, No Pain? nynjRij.png Wow. Just wow. The introduction of mentally-snapped George as Kamen Rider Juuga is beyond crazy. And based on the name, jingle, color scheme, and even part of visual design, I am convinced Juuga is also a Kuuga reference. The tension is mounting, and it's sad to see that Ikki's memory loss is hitting the worst possible scenario. However, I think the worst thing about all this is that, if this story were told in a different way, Juuga would have been the true hero after all.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png ReVice 48: How We Fall Apart. 357335.png The Karizaki family has made many questionable decisions, and it has left things way too complicated for any normal person to sort through. However, there were good intentions. And as we can see, people become a shell of themselves when they aren't allowed to grieve or express their feelings in a healthy way. One impassioned speech later, even Vice knew that fighting to help George see the truth was the right call. But as he finally falls apart and lets go of all his sorrow, Ikki/Revi pays the ultimate price for George's sins. Now his memory loss is all but complete. This show is nearly over, and I have predictions for how the final episode will play out, but I want to wait and see first.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png Dear Gaga 02: Rain On Me. nynjRij.png I was not expecting this special to only be 2 episodes long, but it managed to leave me feeling a number of things. I hate that they used the old trope of “they're dying for unspecified reasons”. Also, unlike Vail or ReVice The Mystery, it felt like they really could have just combined both parts into one special and it would have been fine. I see no reason to break them up other than digital format reasons. However, that being said, my critiques are small compared to everything else. I never thought we'd get the reason why Hiromi has that “I'll lay down my life” catchphrase, but here we are, and it's wholesome. And seeing what he did for his elderly mother, it really hit home for me. I lost my grandparents not too long ago, so this brought back some of that pain of loss. However, the ending really did lift my spirits. Spin-offs like these are far more worth your time.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png ReVice Girls Remix 02: Something Truly Satanic?! 357335.png Thinking about it, bringing back the showa villain Black Satan makes the most sense for a show about people making contracts with their inner demons. However, this is turning into more than just bringing a back a campy villain for fun, there was reason in this. They've brought back Tackle as an evil general for Black Satan! How cruel can they be? But I do like the actor playing her part; she's far more suited that the random young girl they got in the Decade/Double crossover movie. Seeing Kamen Rider Aguilera Dark was cool, but that ending outshines it.

twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png MOVIE TIME! icon?1379626399 This time, I saw TWOKAIZER z GOKAIGER: THE JUNE BRIDE'S TREND ARE TANUKIS. This is the reason I am late. I ran out of time to watch this, and in hindsight, I wish I had skipped... You know, when people often say that they want Super Sentai to go darker or more serious, they usually mean they want the franchise to follow in Kamen Rider's example. They do NOT mean this. For a crossover special, I was expecting something genuinely special. I can't think of anyone that was asking for a masochist monster that liked getting pummeled by lady pirates. Is there some adult anime fans that took over the studio that day? Even more disappointed, we got stuck with Flint as the gold Twokaizer. In a live show, they gave Flint her own silver & pink ranger form. Why could they not do that here? Even the epic ending theme did not at all feel like it belongs here, let alone deserved. Apparently this is meant to be watched after the Zenkai/Kira/Senpai crossover? Should have just watched that. For now, I wish a pirate would come and steal away the memory of this movie, cause I'd much rather forget it exists.

sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png MLP TYT 23: I Clean, Therefore...  Oh Sunny, have you learned nothing from Twilight? You never open a window with cheerful optimism. This episode was okay, I just wish there had been more time to flesh out the ending and make it a little more earned. There are many town and city officials that WISH it was that easy to rally their citizens and make them clean up the place! Even Posey, who I guess is the Karen of this series, offered to help out in the end. There's more I could say about this episode, but it would come off as disingenuous. For now, I'll just say... Sunny's alicorn form was looking pretty solid at the end there. Was that a sneak-peak of perma-alicorn Sunny? (Also, for some reason, this makes me wonder if anyone IRL has ever considered making assigned selfie areas.)

That's all for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and grab your umbrellas.

Well, I mentioned it, why not show it? Dubbed by the fandom as "Saban Moon", this is the long lost pilot for the American Sailor Moon. Can you imagine a world where this was made before Japan's live action Sailor Moon series from 2003? Honestly, considering the similar animation cues, I can see why they abandoned the project. Dubbing the anime would have been cheaper and easier. In the end, the English logo was the only thing salvaged from this.

No one seems to mind that I only make these status updates now... Guess that's what I'll be doing for a while. 250630.gif Let's talk about the week that just passed, my crowd.

bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png [ 1 / 2 ] The week began with an open house distribution of all my grandfather's (and what remained of my grandmother's) old possessions. I am happy with what I got, which is more than I ever expected! I got some decorative globes that use to belong to my grandmother, a magnifying lens monocle necklace (it has a really good magnification), a high-end digital camera with extra memory cards, a weed eater that I had been storing there, and two lawn mowers (one of which I didn't actually own but they let me have it anyways). My mother got some of my grandmother's old jewelry, some hand-made quilts, some books, and some kitchenware. We all did way better than we expected, and all the other family members that were there found something special of themselves as well. (It's not all gone, but we might go over some of the stuff before they have an estate sale.) One of my uncles couldn't be there, but my mother scored extra stuff so that he could go through it on his own time. :ooh:

cel.png.932df6a068796c2120797b896cfae033.png [ 2 / 2 ] Speaking of my uncle, he left early on Sunday because of health problems, it turns out. He's been having them for a while, so he can't be as social as he wants until he sees a doctor about it. Also, his phone was broken, so he was unable to receive calls or texts. Just thought I'd mention that. A little later in the week, my family went to settle the matter of my grandfather's final will. We're all entitled to some money! ...Eventually? It's all tied up in things like Life Insurance Policies, Stocks, and stuff. So my family will get together again some time later to see how to best settle that stuff and split the money fairly. However, I have to say, I am very proud of my family. I might not be related to all of these people by blood, but they have been so respectful. No one has been a money grubber, no one has stepped out of bonds or caused any riffs. In fact, some of the people that use to be grumpy, have turned into pleasant people over the years. We really need to hang out with them more often! :rarity:

bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png I got to try Mtn Dew Baja Mango Gem. It was everything I wanted it to be on the first sip. ^_^ It actually tastes just like Mountain Dew Sweet Lightning, or at least the way I remember it. KFC calls that flavor peach & honey, but with the artificial chemicals they use to give it flavor, it all tastes the same to me~! 🤷‍♂️

cel.png.932df6a068796c2120797b896cfae033.png NO DONBROTHERS OR REVICE THIS TIME!  osnb5Gt.png  nynjRij.png Don't worry, I'll be back with lots of extra content. Maybe a movie, if I can. However, this just wasn't a good week. On top of settling the affairs of my deceased grandfather, I've been having some learning pains with my electric bill. I had to go through my house and start removing electric devices that I don't use regularly, and start switching off devices when not in use.

bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png MLP TYT 22: Zipp It Up. :sunbutt: Interesting episode, I must say. I was expecting a deeper dive into Zipp, to see if there was a reason she didn't want to hang out with her friends that much. A "Say Yes" day episode was not exactly what I was wanted, but Zipp enjoyed herself and is learning to be more open to experiences, so I guess it's all good. Makes me wonder if Zipp is just the kind of pony that has a bad habit of not getting involved in things unless it was her own idea. I can be very guilty of that as well sometimes.

That's all for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and cherish the family that cares about you.

AI can do some fascinating things these days, like make this composition of a song based on Green Hill Zone from Sonic 1. It starts off like the original song, goes somewhere else, then takes you on a journey that makes you wonder if you should call it a remix or something else. Over all, the composition is a little confused, which is what AI tends to do. It can't decide if it wants to make a song that is in Major or Minor chords. Parts of this definitely sound like it could be an original Sonic song all by itself; it just needs to be reworked and made easier to listen to. Still, this is a crazy and wonderful gem all on its own. This is "Green Hill Zone as composed by an AI" by SpecklefrondMusic.

I'm gone for one day, and the forum bugs creep back in. Yikes~ 204078.gif For those who can still read this, sorry this is a day late, but let's review the previous week, shall we my crowd?

bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png I can't say anything super big happened in the week we just finished. I guess the biggest thing would be how I finally finished a Twilight Zone-related project for my uncle. Nearly gave up trying to find whatever he was looking for, but I found it and I'll rip him a CD full of stuff.  Just glad to be done with it, to be honest. That and getting quotes for a new window pane. I knew getting a new door would be simpler, but some members of my family just wouldn't believe me until I had the numbers to back it up.

cel.png.932df6a068796c2120797b896cfae033.png Speaking of, time for a life update. I'M NOT LOOKING FOR ANY SYMPATHY, AND I'M NOT TRYING TO MAKE ANYONE SAD! It just is what it is... My grandfather's health is not improving. He is looking paler than usual, and his naps are taking longer than ever before. He slept through almost an entire church service; and that's never happened before. His health has been on the decline ever since my grandmother passed away some time ago. I don't talk about it too much, but my family knows what's most likely going to happen eventually. Just wanted to say this now so that, when he does eventually pass away, it won't be a sudden surprise for anyone.

bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png I recently mowed the lawn. Hours later, it rained. I'm just glad it didn't rain WHILE I was mowing. :ButtercupLaugh: Thank you for waiting your turn, weather.

cel.png.932df6a068796c2120797b896cfae033.png MLP TYT 10: I Saw The Sun.  Well this was interesting. Yeah, that's the best word for it, interesting. Some parts were good, some parts were a little vapid, and some parts made me think. I appreciate that we finally have some more Sunny focus, and she is so nice for wanting to hang out with her friends. How can you say no to a huge breakfast spread like that?! I like that they recycled one of their best jokes, accidentally ruining Phyllis's mane, though I can see why some people might find that annoying (some running gags are either hit or miss). I'm not sure how to feel about Izzy's rap career, and I REALLY don't know how to feel about seeing Hitch with a panic attack (isn't he suppose to be the reliable one of the group?). Basically what I'm saying is, this is a good episode, it just needed to be longer. They really crammed all the events in there, but maybe having an extra 10-20 minutes would have helped smooth this story out.

bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png NO SUPERHUMAN SAMURAI SYBER SQUAD THIS WEEK! HB4hUOc.png Because I used this time to get caught up on tokusatsu. One of the reasons this update is a day late.

cel.png.932df6a068796c2120797b896cfae033.png DonBrothers 10: What's the Deal with the Devil? osnb5Gt.png Oni Sister is here, and finally she has taken a step to being fully realized. I almost wish we hadn't seen the Robotaro forms of the other Brothers right now. This was Oni Sister's moment, so it would have been more fitting for just her, but I guess it is cheaper to animate one group attack than a bunch of individual attacks. That said, I am also a little disappointed that Kiji and Inu are still stuck in full CGI forms. I am glad to see that the MOTW's host was saved, though he has absolutely no real connection to the Gokaigers. Stealing and Piracy, in this context, is a strained connection at best. Though I must admit, it is strange that, even with her old life restored, Haruka still remembered her old life as Oni Sister. I think this pretty much confirms that the points they all earn are meant to for a a higher purpose, and they are all wasting them willy-nilly. Likewise, the one thing about this episode is that it could be taken out of context VERY negatively. But if you pay attention, you'll see that they aren't saying the other Brothers need to be subservient to Don Momotaro, but rather that they just need to embrace their role as DonBrother members and do a better job of working together and giving it their all.

bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png DonBrothers 11: A Festival For Five! red-circle-md.png Who knew that a minor plot detail would change everything we knew? Who knew that such a silly episode would develop so much lore? Seems the trio that we thought were monster generals are actually not at all evil, they are just trying to defeat the Beastials before they can invade the parallel reality they call home. We know the guy in a cell is actually the guardian, who once committed a great crime. At last, the 5 DonBrothers all know who they are. Last of all, there were basically two monsters in this episode, but only one had focus. The main MOTW was themed after Ninninger, and the human host clearly does have ninja aspirations, so that works. The other one has not been fully revealed; all we know is that he is part of the origami set, and he can leap from host to host. I hope this doesn't result in Kiji Brother's wife getting killed.

cel.png.932df6a068796c2120797b896cfae033.png ReVice 33: Can't Reap What You Don't Sew. nynjRij.png Was surprised to see they kept Dr. Akemi alive after all. Kind of ruins it for me, but also glad to see they aren't wasting her potential, and maybe making a staff member disappear would draw too much attention to the director. We see the introduction of Vail himself, sporting a similar look to Vice. And why not? He's practically his dad, with a similar naming scheme too. But the real show-stopper is the moment between Aguilera/Hana and Sakura/Jeanne. Sure, we got to see a new weapon Vistamp for Jeanne and we got to see Hana released from her Deadman form after all. However, Jeanne REALLY stands as a full-fledge Rider now. Her outfit was on point, her motivations behind this battle and everything leading up to it were perfect, her resolve was unshakable... It was almost like looking at a female Hongo/Rider #1. Furthermore, I want to know if Hana really does have romantic feelings for her, or if that line was more about adoration/platonic love.

bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png ReVice 34: Shaken Faiths. 126-1263879_blue-bullet-point-stock-xchng.png Here we have an episode where the heroes are trying to stay together, but their bonds are being tested and slowly they are being pushed apart. For some reason, one of the Weekend members wants to protect Sakurai/Jeanne, but feels helpless since she doesn't need protecting anymore. Daiji/Live is acting impulsively to save Fenix, and now he took a hit way too close to the jugular. Dr. Akemi is losing faith in humanity, but I am hoping she'll come around despite becoming a monster. But the biggest thing of all is the doubt that been planted in Vice's heart. I hate that Vice is doubting Ikki/Revi after all they've been through, but I can't deny that it's still well written and believable. Still, he needs to talk it out with Ikki and be more transparent. And with the corrupt director showing his true colors, thwarting our heroes' every attempt to stay a step ahead, it kind of makes me think that Hiromi or Olteca returning would work pretty well right now.

cel.png.932df6a068796c2120797b896cfae033.png ReVice 35: One Step Forward, One Step Back! d7ar4gc-b66b1981-22f3-4a1e-a0f6-d3e1e9b3dff2.png?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiJ1cm46YXBwOjdlMGQxODg5ODIyNjQzNzNhNWYwZDQxNWVhMGQyNmUwIiwiaXNzIjoidXJuOmFwcDo3ZTBkMTg4OTgyMjY0MzczYTVmMGQ0MTVlYTBkMjZlMCIsIm9iaiI6W1t7InBhdGgiOiJcL2ZcLzc0ODFhMTQ4LTBlN2YtNGM4Ni05NzNlLTJkYjczMjc2YTBjNlwvZDdhcjRnYy1iNjZiMTk4MS0yMmYzLTRhMWUtYTBmNi1kM2UxZTliM2RmZjIucG5nIn1dXSwiYXVkIjpbInVybjpzZXJ2aWNlOmZpbGUuZG93bmxvYWQiXX0.Swns4mR3eT9Aj5uspfl4yrk_67Hhx4AypBy5gIzXFtk ...Well nevermind what I said about epic come backs! Usually, I love when a half hour episode manages to cram in as much content as possible and never lets us have a dull moment. However, this may be one time where I feel the episode is too crammed. At first we learn the director is not as evil as he seems, but it just makes his deeds later all the more complex, not to mention the theme of family is carried over even more. We are learning more about the negative effects of Daiji casting his demon out. Glad to see Vice and Ikki/Revi made up. However, I was not expecting Hikaru to become Over Demons, a Rider with a Vail-like appearance. The director has more plans, and I don't usually talk about next episode previews, but it looks like we're getting even MORE Riders before we can get use to this one. Seriously, the episode is so dense with material, even I feel like I need a breather.

bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png Vail 04: A Painful Reveal. 357335.png And here we are with part 4, the long awaited moment. It's still not the end, but in a way, I should have seen this coming. Perhaps many did. Vail is not just born from Giff, he is Genta's personal devil. Now he is torn between the new life he can have now, and the feelings of anger and pain that still linger within him. This really should be watched before any major reveals about Vail in the TV show.

cel.png.932df6a068796c2120797b896cfae033.png TOKUSATSU MOVIE TIME! icon?1379626399 I recently saw Kamen Rider Saber: Trio of Sin. Back when I saw Super Hero Senki, the major take-away was about how the master Shotaro Ishinomori himself wanted to create superheroes that had complexity. Greatness but also inner conflict and turmoil. Stories of hope rising from the tragic or bittersweet nature that is the journey of the superhero. This movie has all of that in the best possible way. When I learned about this movie, I was afraid it was just going to be another movie that ruins the happy ending these heroes from Saber had earned. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised. It drags us through the mud, giving us a hard look at all the lives that superheroes sometimes fail to save, but reminds us that they never give up on trying to do the right thing and do right by those still here. And just when you think this is all going to end in more tragedy and death, just when you think happiness will be denied for these kindhearted heroes, they managed to turn it around into an ending with hope after all. Best of all, they do it in a way that stays on-brand to Saber's legacy. It's complex, it's rich, it'll make you earn that hopeful ending, and I know in my heart that Ishinomori-sensei would be proud of this. Saber might've had a clumsy beginning, but it had a phenomenal ending. (And might I say, this movie easily had the THE BEST childhood actor I've ever seen in tokusatsu.)

That's all for now, my crowd. B) Take care, and brave ahead.

I love hearing foreign language covers, especially when they become the official covers. I think this might be the closest we're going to get, and it is so addictive that you might forget all about the original. This is a Japanese cover of ABBA's "Voulez-Vous" by Kazuki Enatsu. Probably should try to find a French cover instead, but I have such a weakness for Japanese~.
