Teach me to look that good, even when casual...

How goes it, my crowd?
This has not been a good week for me.
I recently lost all my Pokemon Omega Ruby gameplay data. Hours upon days of playing; wasted. I even played Alpha Sapphire so that I could completely collect everything between the two games. All of it gone! Basically, here's what happened... I was running the game on an emulator. I was afraid that the game was saving some temporary data on my main drive (C) instead of my storage drive (F), and it was. So I changed the settings and moved the data, but the emulator didn't like that. It freaked out. So I tried to save the data as best I could, but I had to hard delete everything anyways. Why? Because...
My computer has me concerned. It's been telling me that I am running out of space on my C drive. In total, my C drive has over 100 GB of space (my F drive has about a terabyte of space). Lately, it's been floating. Sometimes it'll tell me I have over 1 GB of free space left. Other times, it will tell me I have less. And I have no idea what to do to fix this. Today, I uninstalled a bunch of stuff, but it hardly made a difference. I've been really good about installing most of my programs onto the F drive, but I feel like something is feeding files into my C drive and taking up space. Maybe temporary files or something? Should I look into some Disk Cleaning software? I have no idea.
I'm concerned because I don't know what to do or where to turn. If money wasn't a problem right now, I could just take it to a professional and have them fix it.
And if things weren't bad enough for myself, my family is having hard times too. I all ready mentioned my grandfather being admitted to a nursing home, but now my uncle has come down with COVID. ...Again. I am really, REALLY hoping he recovers. I've heard scary stories about how people don't recover if they catch it a 2nd time.
This is turning out to be the worst week ever.
Take care, my crowd.
