Samurai Equine

I'm gonna try and post a new Status Update every day. Keyword: Try. I might forget, so I'm not making any promises. Try to bear with me, crowd. 

You know, I always try to be a positive influence on here. Happy whenever possible, encouraging others when they need it, standing up for those who need some defending, and just doing a general job of trying to be a good person/roll model. Still, I sometimes make mistakes. And even I have my insecurities; like when no one is reaching out just to say hi or something fun. Sometimes I wonder if the friends I've made here really consider me a friend, or just a tool for their convenience. And am I not doing enough personally to help out others? Is there more I could be doing? Are there other places on this forum where I could be active? Have I done anything to hurt or upset anyone? Maybe I'm failing to be there when someone could really use my help.
I know, I know...
Those are terrible thoughts that aren't necessarily true. Insecurity is a constantly liar, whispering falsehoods in your ear, trying to bring you down. I try not to let those thoughts control me. Just keep on doing what you're doing and let the real friends stick by you no matter what. But even so, every once in a while, I wonder...

If we were kids growing up together, and you saw some bully picking on me and putting me down, would you stand up for me?

If you saw me playing a game by myself or eating lunch at a table no one else is sitting it, would you join me so I don't have to be alone?

If you could hang out with anyone for an extended amount of time, would you hang out with me just because you might get something out of it, or would you hang out with me because you genuinely enjoy my company?

If I was an old-school, fifty pound boom box, would you hold me on your shoulder wherever you walk, turn my volume up in front of the cops and crank it higher every time they told you to stop?

For introspection, I don't have a habit of asking others to do something I'm not willing to do myself. Somewhere out there, someone is crying, someone is suffering; don't pretend like you didn't see! That's what I tell myself, at least.
But it's whatever. You don't have to answer any of these questions. I just wanted a vent a little, that's all my crowd. Hope you're all having a happy day with no problems what so ever. 

[P.S. I think @Deerie is going to try and help me win the day/get the most brohoofs, but I think she probably deserves it more than me. So please give her the love instead. Find every post she's made and give her a storm of as many brohoofs as you can, my crowd! Tell her I sent ya, if you want.  ]
