    @GeneralDirection "That just makes me more excited to do this!" Ryugane says. "Don't worry, my friend. Just humor him. If I feel like the fight is becoming too much, I'll personally step in." Samurai says. About that time, the waiter returns with the food. First the drinks. Each one is a bright color, and a gradient. Might be some kind of fruit-flavored drink. Each one is different, too. One drink is blue fading into purple, another is green fading into blue, another is orange fading into pink, etc. Next is the pizzas, and all five are unique. Each with a different topping that Silver has probably never seen before. One of the pizzas has mayo, among other things. Another has teriyaki sauce. One pizza doesn't even have cheese. They all have their own veggies, of course. One has imitation chicken, another has imitation prosciutto, and so on. "Go on, everyone. It's buffet style." Ryugane says. He starts to get a slice from each pizza, and so do the others.

    @GeneralDirection "Now hold a minute, Ryugane-san. You're not seriously imply..." Samurai begins, but Ryugane holds up a hoof. "Relax. The fight is a front, just like Silver said. A show to lure them out. If Snow Leopard really is after Silver, then he won't let him get hurt that easy. Not if he still wants to enlist Silver." Ryugane explains. "But you said two birds with one stone. What else are you trying to accomplish?" Denki asks. Ryugane just smirks and looks at Silver. "...Of course. Silver-san, he wants to spar with you. It won't be a serious fight, but he still wants to test your abilities. He does this with everypony." Samurai explains. "You never know the true mettle of anyone until you know what they're willing to fight for. And ever since I've meet you Silver, it's all I've wanted to do."

Barely had time to fit in some of the fun things I wanted to do as well. Worst part is, I'm STILL not done. There's at least one other person I need to buy a Christmas gift for... :blush: I've never cut it this close to Christmas before, but I may not have a choice. I may need to... ugh... Go shopping one last time this weekend. Wish me luck, everyone. It's going to be SOOOOO crowded~! I would love to just buy something online, but at this point, overnight shipping would be my best bet. I'm not sure I want to spend that much.

We are getting SO CLOSE to the premiere of Sonic Prime~!! But I may hold off 'til after Christmas. Furthermore, the Sonic Frontiers soundtrack dropped. You know I'll be getting my own copy of that! Last of all, the gifts I ordered online at the beginning of December came in. So there's a lot less I need to worry about.

Even the Killer robot in this episode fails to accomplish anything. It's happy to settle for temporarily injuring our heroes rather than going for the fatal blow. Furthermore, it seems weird that they chose NOW to decide that transforming can cure injuries. Hope they don't go further and say it can cure death too. About the only thing this episode accomplished was reminding us that the prisoner character and Zenkaiser Black still exist. Also, the MOTW is based on JAKQ.

    sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png Geats 13: A Two-Way Flight. ypGkU4g.png As cool as it is, I am saving any gushing I have over this new buckle set for the next episode, when we should see it in full swing. It seems there is a higher authority over the Game Master, and he will step in if his subordinates are getting out of place. I can tell Geats is trying to make a connection with Buffa. I hope his and Tycoon's words of wisdom actually get through to him in the next episode, because they are clearly building up the arrival of another Rider...

    twi.png.f9a8f7839a12a89136cd0641ade8efb0.png MOVIE TIME! icon?1379626399 Recently, I watched A Christmas Carol (2012) by Jason Figgis. Never have I seen a movie that made me wish for a movie to take its production back to the theater, its roots, and yet here we are. This movie commits every sin that make people shy away from practical effects. Bad acting, bad casting, bad costume design, bad framing, using paintings for filler shots, etc. I cringe when I see them try and fail to make modern buildings and décor look like Victorian England homes, especially when all the sets might very well be in one person's house. I hate seeing the narrator say lines of dialogue that the actors aren't good enough to deliver. Even the rare hints of CGI and special effects they use do not make it better. If this was a production made by some YouTubers, it might be genius. As is, it's a disappointment. They even had a very meta opening with someone pitching the story to an early investor, but that didn't go anywhere. But there were some good points. I feel like there were more introspective moments with Scrooge, giving him a chance to really examine all his beliefs and his impact on this world, thus making his reformation not just a selfish or fear-based one. I do think they thrown in way more lines from the novel. I don't know for sure, but it feels that way. I can't recommend this for anyone, but they tried. Bless them, they tried.

    sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png DOUBLE FEATURE! dawswur-b623def6-6fd1-44ef-94bc-ee3a54bc I also saw Netflix's Scrooge (2022). It's... better? But not by much. When I heard that Netflix was doing a CGI animated movie based on A Christmas Carol, I HAD to see it! Didn't care that it was a musical, the timing just could not be more perfect. However, the moment I began to play it, I saw Scrooge with a dog he never had before, and I knew we were in for some creative changes. Sadly, these changes amounted to a very mixed bag. Some were good, some existed to lessen the Christian influences or the darker subjects (which were never a problem before), and some were terrible or pointless changes. Even certain moments in the story that should have been gut-wrenching were half-baked at best. Perhaps the really sad thing is the potential that was here. The visuals were AMAZING! And some of the songs really were soulful and from the heart; perfectly fitting for the characters. But the watered-down story just doesn't justify these few good elements. You know how some parts of A Christmas Carol get lost when turning it into a movie or a special? It feels like someone put those adaptations through an AI without including the book itself, and then made this version of A Christmas Carol, minus the hilarious side-effects that prove it was automatically generated. I am not against creative changes, but only if these changes are justified. I can't say they are fully justified here. After seeing them make something special with their 2019 Klaus movie, I really expected more out of Netflix.

    When Archie lost the legal rights to continue making Sonic comics, believe it or not, I was actually sad. They had just started a new line, staring Sonic and friends in their Classic incarnation. Best of all, it was based only on material from the games. It was easily THE BEST Sonic comic line ever, and then it died before it had a chance to do anything. I am glad to see that even with IDW taking over, that line of comics doesn't have to come to an end. This is, perhaps, the best way for it to come back. I want to get this comic. This is "Tails is 30 Years Old | Sonic Speed Reading" by Game Apologist.

    @GeneralDirection Denki is still beside himself. "The first thing we need to do is make sure there's no more origami shinobi lurking about." Samurai says. Before anyone can say anything further, the waiter finally arrives. "May I have your orders, please?" The waiter asks. "5 of your best pizzas and 5 of your best drinks . Trust me, they're the best here. Even a foreigner would be able to find one topping they like." Ryugane says. The waiter nods and goes off. "If we're going hunting, then should we split up?" Mizuko asks. "Won't be necessary. I've all ready got a plan to draw them out." Ryugane says. Mizuko relaxes. "That's good. I can get back to my region after this."

    @TheBestJeric As Denki pulls away from the hug, Silver's words make him snap to a realization. "What? I did it right?! But, I was just thankful you weren't going to be evil. I just-- I did it right without thinking about it?" Denki examines his own hooves and starts to mumble to himself, shocked that he did it instinctually rather than on purpose. Samurai looks at Silver and his fellow samurai, and gives a soft smile. "Kind words, but I wouldn't want to volunteer anypony else to help me fight this dangerous battle. Especially not one who isn't a soldier. Besides, it's not that I want to defeat him. I still want to believe that maybe somewhere down in there, he is still a good soul that can be reached. I'll only defeat him if there is no other choice." Samurai clarifies. "That's still much too naïve. He's a menace that should be put down. Still, I've seen this play out many times. Snow Leopard always seeks you out first when he chooses to attack. I wonder how many chances you're going to give him before it's too late..." Ryugane says. "...As many chances as I'd give all of you, if any of you were to lose your way." Samurai says, as pure as can be. It annoys Ryugane and Mizuko. Seems they don't have a good come back for that one.

    I know, I'm suppose to post my weekly summary right now. I'm not late to the game, I'm purposefully holding back until tomorrow.
    I had a really full weekend this time around, with lots of shopping and preparing for the holiday. I didn't get to do everything I wanted, so I'll be pushing the summary back again.

    @GeneralDirection Ryugane and Mizuko seem relieved that Silver says that. And to his surprise, Denki scoots closer to where Silver is sitting and gives him a hug. A genuine hug! He isn't trying too hard or missing the point; he's just giving a genuine hug. He even pats Silver on the back and nods, happily relieved. "Good to hear you say so, Silver-san." Before Mizuko can say anything, she notices Silver's concern for Samurai. "He's going to say it again..." Mizuko says. And on que, Samurai speaks. "Snow Leopard is my responsibility. I was the one that reached out to him and promised him a better life. I'm the one who failed him. If anypony has to defeat him..." Samurai starts. "It's going to be me." Samurai and Mizuko say in unison, proving that this is not the first time Samurai has said this. "Yeah, you keep saying that, but I still doubt you will. Hate to say it, but in times of war, we are stronger together. And Snow Leopard's ice powers? The exact opposite of your fire powers, Samurai. It's amazing how many battles ended in a tie between the two of you." Mizuko says.

"The way he amasses dark magic and other resources, the many times he has started battles that nearly brought Japone to war... He doesn't just care about changing the world. He wants to get rid of everything in his way. As much as I like fighting and sparring, even I know senseless violence when I see it." Ryugane says. Samurai doesn't say much. He looks lost in thought.

I've had many victories and many success stories as a samurai. I've studied and struggled until I mastered fire magic. Battle tactics came naturally for me... But when I was first starting out, I had one major failure that I haven't been able to live down. There was a white leopard that magical powers over snow and ice, but he could barely control it. His name was Snow Leopard. When I met him, he was having trouble making friends. If citizens weren't scared of his ferocious looks, they stayed away because they didn't want to get frost bite. In time, he let the heart break and the rejection get to him, until not even my friendship was enough validation. I had promised to help him, and because I couldn't change the hearts of other citizens, he started to blame me for being an outcast. In fact, he started to blame the whole world..." Samurai says. He takes a deep breath as drinks are served. "It was fine when he was just blaming me. However, he disappeared for a while. And when he re-emerged, he had used the dark arts to modify himself. He also began to rally an army. Origami shinobi, dangerous beasts, dark magic, and more... Any dangerous or forbidden resources that the world had rejected, Snow Leopard was gathering all of it and using it against us. He became a threat not just to me, but to Japone as well."

    @GeneralDirection Ryugane leads the way. Moments later, they are in a different part of his region. They are at a smokehouse grill next to an industrial complex that makes goods out of metal and other such materials. Denki and Mizuko don't seem super comfortable. "Did we have to go to one of the warmest locations in this region?" Denki asks. "Yeah. Hate to agree with stuffy-pants here, but he has a point. I doubt any origami shinobi would be hanging around here." Mizuko says. "Exactly. The neighboring factories use fire, molten lava, furnisses, and many other similar resources to use or melt down materials. None of those shinobi would risk being here, it would destroy them. Which means we can talk freely without fear of being spied on. ... That, and this restaurant has some of the best food I've ever had." Ryugane explains.

    All right. So what's the excuse for being a day late this time? ... I don't know. Busy weekend? Things didn't happen the way I wanted them to? Here's Diamond Tiara to show how I felt about it... 580622.gif Let's get into it, my crowd.

    bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png My weekend was a mix of good and bad. :pinkiehat:I got to do a lot of things; like watch a movie, decorate my house, and get SOME Christmas shopping done. However, I didn't do as much as I wanted to do. Part of it was because I was helping my mother with some of her shopping, and that ate up my time. My uncles visited me, individually. Combine all that together, and I nearly lost a whole day of activity. By the time I wanted to make and post this, it was just getting far too late. Not a bad week over all, but not the best either.

SO many trailers dropped! :pinkiecutehat:I am convinced that not only will the Super Mario Bros. movie drop tons of story and things from the games, but I am also convinced Mario will go on a quest that starts with him having a deep voice, but gains his high pitched voice by the end of it. I liked the Bumblebee movie, so expectations are high for the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts movie. I may or may not see The Mean One. The new Indiana Jones movie does look promising, but I really hope they have learned their lesson from the last one.

Humans are procreating with Kaijins, but the downside is that even in modern times, there are humans being modified into Kaijins. Worst of all, intense mind control is now a thing too. Seeing what Aoi had to go through was gut-wrenching. It's only when the superhero tokusatsu genre lets go of the breaks can have tragic moments like this. While Nobuhiko seems to be obsessed with strength, it appears he has a history of failure to contend with. I hope the next episode explains more, cause the more this goes on, the more questions I seem to get. Like why does Kotaro suddenly want to protect Aoi? Why does he think it's better if she keeps the Kingstone? So much to unpack, but it may be a while before we get there.

The scenes from the past were just not strong enough to top the scenes from the present. Either way, we now see opposing viewpoints. If I understand correctly, Bilgenia only wants to keep the legacy of the Creation King going, and possibly wants to use kaijin as military weapons. Yukari believes that the best option for peace is to kill the Creation King and try to make the world better for everyone. Black Sun and Shadow Moon are moved by her cause, even if they have their own way of doing things. Somehow in the past, Shadow Moon was not able to protect Yukari, but now in the present, Black Sun was unable to keep his promise and protect Aoi. Bilgenia shows just how corrupt he is by turning Aoi into a kaijin with a Kingstone, and by killing Aoi's mother right in front of her. Kotaro's anger caused him to evolve from Kaijin to Rider, but he still failed. Now Kotaro and Nobuhiko are united by equal failure and a desire to strike back. How things quickly change.

This is what we get. Brutal, hopeless, cruel deaths with no help from a superhero. We get a moment at the beginning that makes you think we might get that, only for it to be taken away. Not because the Riders aren't doing their job, they are just preoccupied by boss-level threats on both sides. I love the moments from the past intertwining with the current events. I love how Shadow Moon proves he doesn't want to kill all humans, he just hates the ones killing innocent kaijins. More importantly, we see Kotaro was living with a bigger failure hanging over his head this whole time. He failed to kill the Creation King before, and now history is repeating itself, he is once again taking his chance. How will things play out this time?

I am annoyed that the Don Bros still have no idea who Inu Brother is. I love that a small town girl from the middle of nowhere has unintentionally made a dish so good, even Don Momotaro would given it 100 points. Don Murasame's appearance didn't really amount to much, so maybe it is foreshadowing his role in upcoming episodes. But again, there's not many left, so it's time they start making them count. MOTW is based on Denziman.

Didn't think it could surprise me, but it did. But now the true identity of Pumpkin Jack is out, and everyone knows it. This is definitely going to spell disaster in the coming episode. And say what you will about Ace/Geats being full of himself, but when he sticks it to the DGP, it's always awesome.

    bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png MOVIE TIME! icon?1379626399 Recently, I watched BLACK ADAM. This movie has one big strength that it excels in, and that's giving us the dark Superman story we need. Other stories just try to make their version of Superman straight up evil, corrupt, or horrific; and that's just taking it to the easiest or most uninspired extreme. Black Adam is dark, but not completely evil. He kills the villains, but he has a good heart and potential underneath it all. He might not be perfect, but he is the champion that a certain part of the world needs, and he comes in handy to defeat evil gods. Basically, an anti-hero, which is just the right balance. And I guess I should mention that he does have his own version of kryptonite, but they just tease the audience over it; something to think about in future films. There is even some narrative misdirection that makes for some great surprises/reveals, great call backs, etc. However, this movie suffers from the same problem as the Justice League movie; introducing a bunch of new characters rather than giving them some solo time and letting audiences get to know them better. Their inclusion is a little frustrating, and it could have been charming if done right, but it was an extra layer of clunk that wasn't completely necessary. These movies are mostly made for the all-ready established fanbase. Still, this film and Dwayne managed to give us something that we thought we'd never see again. I just hope this is where the DCU starts to rebuild itself. Over all, good movie. Not perfect, but good.

Ryugane offers.

Of course he would..." Mizuko says, looking rather angered. "That's not good... If Snow Leopard is that interested in you, he won't stop until the two of you have met face-to-face. That could put you and many others at risk." Samurai says.

    @GeneralDirection Samurai smiles, relieved that Silver is fine. Ryugane wipes the water off himself. "So was that it, then? All this fuss over one shinobi?" Mizuko asks. "You know how things go, Mizuko-chan. Where there's one, there might be more. We need to go on patrol and make sure there are no others out there." Denki says. "As for why they showed up..." Ryugane starts, then looks at Silver. "You want to tell them, or should I?"

    @GeneralDirection "Silver-san!" Samurai happily runs up to him. "Are you okay? The shinobi didn't hurt you, did he?" Samurai asks. With the water washed away, Ryugane is able to free himself, though he is all wet now. He looks annoyed. "You always did have a habit of making terrible entrances." Ryugane says. "We got rid of the origami shinobi, didn't we? You're welcome." Mizuko says, rather smugly. Denki returns via lightning bolt, though shocks himself a little because the ground is still wet.

    @GeneralDirection "No! The samurai offer false hope. They must be purged. With your power, and with Snow Leopard's dark magic, this world..." The origami shinobi, who seems quite upset at what Silver suggested, is cut off when a rather aquatic sound can be heard. Denki and Ryugane's various attacks are interrupted when they see a huge tidal wave of water approaching from above. "BRACE YOURSELVES!" Ryugane says and uses his magic to firmly plant himself while Denki disappears via lightning strike. The shinobi folds into a big hawk and tries to avoid the water, but the wave was carrying two more warriors. Mizuko is swimming through the wave, and Samurai Equine is windsurfing on top of the wave, his sail adorned with his cutie mark. Samurai has sharp eyes. As he surfs in close, he spots the well-hidden magic symbol on the shinobi. "Flaming PUNCH!!!" Surfing in close, Samurai leaps and spins into a magical fire punch and makes perfect contact! The shinobi burns. up. The rest of his body, his little clones, also burn to ash as well. When the wave hits, it gets everything in the area wet, but does not destroy or ruin anything. Samurai is able to land safely on the ground; as does Mizuko who just swims out the wave. "We got here as soon as possible." Mizuko says.

    Also, it feels like I just got an early Christmas present. Three big trailers just dropped recently! There was a new Super Mario Bros movie trailer, Transformers Rise of the Beasts, and a new Indiana Jones. I might even be interested in seeing The Mean One, just for laughs. :ButtercupLaugh:

    Gonna try and do a lot this weekend, but for now, I have of things to binge.

      It's pretty much the same for me, to be honest. :adorkable: What I've seen so far isn't bad by any means, but I just haven't found the spark yet. I think the cast is likable enough, but I can't find the same connection as I did with their G4 counterparts (which are quite obvious with at least a few of the characters). :mellow:
