How goes it, my crowd?!  Sorry for posting this a day late; my schedule got interrupted and you'll understand why soon enough...

 So obviously the biggest thing that happened in the previous week we just finished was that I celebrated my birthday!  And what a birthday it was. Got many gifts, and had a wonderful time over all. Perhaps one of the best birthday celebrations I've had in a while. And thank goodness I was healthy for it, because...

 The day after, I got sick. A 24 hour, possibly food poisoning, sickness. I have no idea what caused it, and I probably never will.  It was terrible, but thankfully I recovered in almost no time.

 During the week, I couldn't help but notice a strange drop in water pressure in the shower, and it got worse on the weekend. I was afraid of what it might be. I decided to take off the shower head and buy a new one. Thankfully, that fixed everything!  Yay for simple fixes! But it threw off everything I had planned... I was going to finish watching the end of Ducktales Season 3, but I ran out of time. Heck, by the time I finished watching tokusatsu, I didn't have time to post this Sunday night. So if you're wondering why this update is a day late, now you know.

 Zenkaiger 29: The Game Was Fixed.  Huh, I almost got emotional for a robot bird... This episode played out mostly like filler, with the only big moment happening near the end with a new combining robot and everything else. Of course, the final fight was all CGI, a bit too much for my liking. I still think that much CGI does not belong in Tokusatsu, but if you did a tokusatsu anime in that style, it might be pretty epic!

 Anyone else notice the sudden increase of trailers, mostly for DC properties?

Hey there, my crowd.  How are you?

I can officially say I have recovered from my sickness. I might still be taking it easy for the next few days in terms of what I can eat, but I am recovered. I had a lot of pep in my step and a ravenous appetite. 

In case you haven't noticed, I am fully customized for Halloween/Nightmare Night! I've got a holiday appropriate banner, signature, and avatar! The banner I just recently finished. Sadly, it's not perfect, but it's as close as I'll be able to get. There are some monsters I couldn't add, and even if I could, I'd still feel like I was forgetting someone...  But for now, it's good enough to suit me.

Hope you are all doing your best to stay healthy. The changing seasons is hard on many of us.

I hate that my birthday was followed up by this. Is it because of the change in seasons? Allergy season is back, I know that much.

Not to mention I ate my restaurant of choice (though it might no longer be my favorite, since COVID has severely limited the amount of food they have), and I got to have a fun day out on the town.  

Maybe tomorrow, I'll feel a bit more healthy, I hope.

Hi there, my crowd! For once, I am excited to bring the news of the week we just finished~ 

 Chances are, you're seeing this on a Monday. Which means, it's my birthday!  But I all ready celebrated on Sunday, for the most part. My mother bought some gifts for me; the Gridman boxset and new bed sheets. One of my uncles got me some new music while the other got me some premium hygiene products. I didn't get to go out to my restaurant of choice, but I will be doing that Monday! Speaking of, I have Monday off! WOOHOO!!

 This was suppose to be the week I got back into Ducktales, but since my birthday was coming up, I decided to take my time.  So, nothing for now, but I did see the movie. Speaking of, I've figured out which fansub group I'll be using to watch ReVice, if I ever choose to. Sad to say, but it will be IzuSubs. It really is them or no one. Genm Corp stopped at 4, and we're at 6 now. NAF was just repackaging old subs, and they're way behind too. While I hate IzuSubs' translation choices, it's going to be either them or no one. The ghost of TV-Nihon has risen to smite all of us in a time of tokusatsu uncertainty. Not to mention, I never did get any feedback on how I should feel regarding the costar. For now, the only way I can justify it is that I wouldn't be supporting him, but rather everyone else in Toei and Bandai.

 Oh, and speaking of Ducktales... I saw DUCKTALES THE MOVIE (1990)!  I've been watching the 2017 reboot, and I kind of hate that it ends after 3 seasons. That's less total episodes than the original series from 1987. I watched this movie wanting to make the ride last just a little bit longer, but what I got was something interesting. If all you've ever seen is the reboot and you want to dip your toes into the original, then this movie is for you. You'll get a glimpse of how much the characters have changed, catchphrases that were left behind, and a solid grasp of the tone of the original show. You won't get everything, like Magica or Gizmo Duck, but if you can stomach things like the 3 cousins' original voices, then you can definitely handle the old series. Interestingly, there is a character in this movie that appears in the reboot, and the reboot re-imagines him so much better, but I almost wish all these movie exclusive characters had appeared too. Oh, and as background detail, the kids own a computer! This came out in 1990, before it was popular to own Windows, before more modern versions of GUI's that you might recognize. Talk about accidentally having an eye for the future... Sorry, no promises for next time. We'll just see what happens next.

 Zenkaiger 30: Villain Stole My Name!  All right, an episode worth talking about! From the moment I saw this villain's gun/cannon, I knew the Zenkaigers were going to get it. Also, I can't help feel that Hakaider (the villain from Kikaider) would be pissed that this new villain, Hakaiser, has a similar name. Do you think Toei is doing this on purpose? They own both franchises. I eagerly look forward to the next episode, but you know... Hakaiser's quirky personality seems oddly familiar...

I honestly feel like rock is about to make a big come back in terms of mainstream popularity. Case in point, here's a fairly new band that's making some really epic music. This is my personal favorite, "Fire Away" by Dirty Honey. If you want more, you should totally check out their song "When I'm Gone".

Hi there, my crowd. 

Yesterday was a weird day. Dropped something heavy on my foot, but luckily I only gave myself a bruise. A minor annoyance; nothing major.

But today, I had the best day ever!  I got to spend time with my mother, and she bought me two awesome gifts because... Well, you'll understand why in the next day or two. 

I might be getting Monday off, and if I'm lucky, I'll get to eat at my favorite restaurant tomorrow. Of course, any place would be fine, really.

Did everyone have a good Smile Day?

Yesterday, I saw the Ducktales movie from the original series. Gotta say, very interesting. Not much different than the reboot, but the little differences make a huge impact. The original is just written like a silly cartoon with endless hijinks. The reboot is written like an actual story, but never goes too far away from its roots. So basically, if you can handle this movie, you're ready for the original series.

Also, I made a signature for the major holiday this month. What do you think?  Next, I'll be making a spoopy banner~!

Just a normal Monday for me. I did find an interesting recipe for a beef pie, so I am definitely going to try that soon.

I'm gonna watch the Ducktales movie from the original TV series. I know, it won't be the same. Even so, I want to make the adventures last as long as I can. I get the feeling I am going to miss the reboot.

Tug boat. Toot toot. 🚢 Another week over. Let's talk about it, shall we my crowd?

 To complete the makeovers, Orange Edition will now have Sunset Shimmer orange and Twilight Sparkle purple.  I was going to call that the most important thing that happened this week, but then that Shin Kamen Rider trailer dropped, and OMG that shot-for-shot remake~! I'm drooling. Now if only there was a drool emoji...

 Speaking of, it's not all good news... 5 episodes have passed. I've been avoiding watching the show Kamen Rider ReVice until this moment. This is where I should be making a choice on which fansub group to support, but I just found out some bad news about Kamen Rider ReVice. It seems the costar, the one playing Vice, made a racist post on Twitter a long time ago.  It's been recently deleted, but that's all. No context about why was ever given. No apology nor any acknowledgement was ever made. And this is not just some random background actor; this is the costar, the one that shares the spotlight with the main star. Right now, he's just a voice actor. There is a chance that, if this was happening in America, the actor might get recast by someone with a similar voice, but nothing like that seems to be happening. And now I'm sitting on the sidelines trying to figure out what to do. Do I watch the show anyways? Do I skip an anniversary series? I'm so lost and confused... I really don't want to support this actor. I mean, if I'm pirating episodes, then I'm not really supporting anyone regardless. Still, this makes it a lot harder for me to watch ReVice now... I was looking forward to this, and now I'm left trying to make a tough choice.

 Sorry I don't have anything else to report. This week did not go the way I thought, and my rhythm has been thrown off. I was suppose to watch Ducktales S3. I got through half of it, but not all. Movies are piling up too. Shang-Chi, Venom 2, and I still need to see at least 1 episode of the new CGI He-Man series on Netflix.

 Zenkaiger 29: The Game Was Fixed.  Can't say I expected to see a Prince of Tennis tribute episode. Other then that, this episode is the height of boring. The Tojitendo no longer feel like a threat. All I can say is that the next episode is making big promises; so I hope they can deliver.

I just can't help it. You GOTTA see this trailer! They suit is new, but it's made so very similar to the original. And the shot-for-shot remake... Someone had better do a side-by-side comparison video soon. They even have alternating shots of different motorcycles. I thought Shin Kamen Rider was suppose to be an anime! And I hear the director is the same guy that made Evangelion? Whatever this is, it cannot come out fast enough. This is the 1st Shin Kamen Rider trailer.

Had a scare earlier. Rain was coming down SUPER hard. Had hail, and there was a flood warning.

I'm noticing that if you don't completely hate it, the G4 movie is one of those movies that does get better the more you watch it. Especially the music.

But so far, my week has been very uneventful. I feel like I had something to talk about, but I can't even remember what it was~ Maybe the weekend will be a bit more active.

Hi there, my crowd! Would have posted this yesterday, but the forum went down before I could.  Shall I share my summary of the previous week?

 First of all, NEW LOOK!  What do you think? For bullet points, we're going Big Mac Red and Celestia Pink. You'll have to wait 'til next week to see what Orange Edition looks like.

 Two amazing things dropped over the internet; Netflix' first look at live action Cowboy Bebop, and a Nintendo Direct that revealed the cast for the upcoming animated Super Mario movie. The latter has the internet in a hilarious uproar, which means this HAS to happen now! It's the best kind of buzz.  But the former? Not to so much. For me, I had mixed feelings. I liked half of what I saw, was concerned with the rest. Still, the fact that the internet isn't crazy alive over Cowboy Bebop really says something.

 In preparation for what's new, I took a look at the last of what's old. I saw all of PONY LIFE.  All I can say is; it's not made for fans of G4. Not sure who it was made for, but it wasn't made for us. It was soulless, yet oddly well researched, filler. It was made to sell toys, it was made to hold of over for the next big thing. Which would be exactly what I saw...

 I saw MY LITTLE PONY: A NEW GENERATION (G5)!  No spoilers obviously, too soon for that. All I can say is, if you are going to watch it, then let the movie speak for itself. Don't come into it with questions about how it connects to G4. It would have been better on its own, and the movie really wanted to tell its own story anyways. And on its own, it's actually a pretty good movie. It's weighed down by it's connection to G4, but it's still good. I just hope that the TV series will be even better than the movie! One can only hope. Next time, I'm going to see the last season of Ducktales 2017! ... Also, how long before we can talk about the G5 movie without having to worry about spoilers? When the TV show drops? 

 In lesser news, the hat I ordered came in.  It's a hat with a paint-splatter pattern on it. The hat is a little smaller than I thought it would be. Maybe it was made for female heads after all. But it still fits, and I like it! So I'll be glad to wear it just as often.

 Zenkaiger 28: Non-Stop, Turn The Page.  Well, I am disappointed that Kaito/Zenkaiser wasn't reunited with his mother this episode. Guess we're in it for the long haul. Other then that, it's just a basic filler episode focused on manga. Stuff like this makes me wish Tokusatsu manga was translated more often, but that's just not the case in the fan community. The focus is the shows.

What a monster of a weekend, my crowd! 

First off, SO much has been revealed. The cast of the Super Mario movie has been announced, and we got our first look at the Netflix live action Cowboy Bebop. One of these might just make you laugh your butt off! The other, well if you're like me, you might have mixed feelings about it.

And in other news... I saw the G5 movie! 

It was... Okay. I clearly don't love it as much as others do, but I can see why everyone loves it.
So if you're going to watch it, please don't be like me. Let the new generation speak for itself. Watch it as if this new generation is its own thing. Don't get hung up on its connection to G4.

I went into this wanting some questions answers; questions relating to G4. I'll put it behind a spoiler tag for now.
If you're going to talk spoilers, please put it in a spoiler tag so that's hidden.

But that's all I have to say. The movie was fun, some of the songs were good, and I really like Hitch, Sunny, and Izzy. Zipp is okay too. They'll be the best parts of the next TV show, for sure.
