She would gladly fight to protect us all, but I'd gladly fight so that she doesn't have to...
How goes it, my crowd?
So, there is something I've been meaning to ask for a long while now... Ever notice this button at the top of the forum that says "✔ Mark site read"? I usually see it when I'm reading someone's status update. Does anyone know what that button does?
I'm afraid to click it and find out. I don't want to accidentally opt out of all status updates or something.
I know, no one is super excited about this, but I think I have a game plan. I am going to buy a replacement storm door and install it. There are places in town that cut and make glass panes, but surprisingly, ALL of them are closed on the weekend. What are the chances of that?
It's not like I want something special; it should be pretty standard. But even if I can't get what I need; I've found a place that sells replacement doors at a REALLY good price. The ones I saw don't have a window section at the bottom of the door, only the mid and upper half. To me, that makes more sense. I wouldn't want to shatter a window with my mower or my food or something.
That's it for now. Time to celebrate Mothers Day!
Take care, my crowd.

Let's proofread the script~! It's time now to go over the results of Tuesday's game!
THE ★★★★★ S-RANK WINNERS ARE: @TomDaBombMLP
THE 1st PLACE WINNERS ARE: @Rising Dusk, & @Rising Dusk
THE 2nd PLACE WINNERS ARE: Let's ask Rainbow Dash...
The correct answer is D. "Uh... I'd love to stay, but gotta go! See ya! Wouldn't wanna be ya!" Though I did try to make the other answers sound similar. "See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya" is such an old school one-liner that I thought I'd use other similar one-liners. As for the twist, Spike never pointed out the teeth of the adult dragon, even though it seems like such an obvious thing to do. Also, he said "How do you like that?" instead of "How you like me now?" Old school quips, I swear.
Once again, I need to step up my game...
Take care, my crowd.

Sunny is great, but with her friends, she's complete.

Hey there, my crowd. How goes it?
Well, I'll be pricing doors and glass this weekend. I want to have a plan and be ready to go for it as soon as possible. In the meantime, I am relaxing and watching things. Top on my list, I saw the newest Tell Your Tale episode, and I liked it! Hitch is still cool. Also saw a trailer for a new Green Lantern cartoon. I'm very interested.
The wound on my finger is bothering me because it's not healing as fast as I would have wanted, and I wonder if the pain I feel is normal. At times, it feels like there is a splinter in there, but I can't seem to pull anything out. I only succeeded in reopening my wound, so I'll just leave it alone for now.
Has anyone had Pepsi Nitro? Oh my goodness... I am convinced all soda needs to be like this from now on. Draft cola is the best.
Tale care, my crowd.

"But I don't know anything about Japonies culture..."
"But you DO know something about Samurai Equine."
"...I know that he's a true friend, and he really needs his friends' help right now!"
...
Hello my crowd.
How can one go from a good day to a terrible day?
Just yesterday, I was so excited! I saw teaser trailers for Sonic Prime, MLP G5, Usagi Yojimbo, Constantine, and the Weird Al biography movie. Not to mention, I've been finding a lot of good music lately. Things were looking up!
Then today happened. I REALLY don't think I did it because I wasn't mowing near my front door, but if I did, then that must have been one heck of a ricochet shot. The bottom glass pane on my screen door shattered today! So on top of wearing myself out from mowing a big lawn, I had to break and sweep away what remained of that pane, duct tape a trashbag over the opening, and start planning a way to fix this problem. I've always been told that glass was cheap and easy to get, but with the prices I've seen previously, it may be easier to just get a new storm door. I'll have to price them and see. ... Also, I cut my finger while sweeping away all that broken glass.
But I'll be fine. I am not sure when or how I'll fix the door issue, but I'll be fine. I could just really use as many hugs as possible right now.
Take care, my crowd.

It's time once again to Equip the Script! Can you guess the right answer?
In Episode 24, Owls Well That Ends Well, Spike has wondered into the cave of an older, angrier dragon. When all talk fails, Spike puts up a brave face. "You don't scare me! So you're big. ...Really big. And your claws are super sharp. Your teeth, very pointy. Tail... extra spiky. But, uh... You don't scare me!" Spike says, pointing out the dragon's appearance. He weakly displays his fire breath. "Ha! How you like me now?" He retorts, only for the bigger dragon to show off his greater fire breath. Clearly outmatched, what does Spike say before running away?
A. "Uh... It's been fun, but I think I hear my pony calling me. Hasta la vista, pendejo!"
B. "Uh... I'd love to chat, but look at the time! Have a nice spring, see you next fall!"
C. "Uh... It's been fun, but I gotta run! Don't call us, we won't call you!"
D. "Uh... I'd love to stay, but gotta go! See ya! Wouldn't wanna be ya!"And yes, the question is a trick question~!
- There is no limit on who can win this game.
- Answer the question correctly, become a 1st place winner.
- Find the trick part of the question, and you become an S-Rank winner.
- Comment, leave extra quotes or trivia, or do anything else, and you get a bonus hug.
Good luck, my crowd.

Call Charlie, because you are both Winning.
Once again, S-Rank Winner.

Really? People hate it?
I wonder why.
I wouldn't say Spike lost to an owl since he was the only one competing. That's like saying you lost to your little brother. -
@Samurai Equine I meant the big dragon lost to an owl.
I have no idea why people hate it. I always have a great time with it.
-
Ah, that makes sense. And I agree with you.

Gonna chase you up... It's showdown!
How was your Monday, my crowd?
Groceries are so expensive right now. Can't even afford some medications I want.
They aren't necessary; they are all over-the-counter. As long as I can hold off for two weeks more, I'll be fine.
Love what you do, but love the craft too.
SpoilerLast week, when talking about being a better writer, one of my friends said that as long as you love what you're making, it'll turn out fine. The audience you are trying to reach will see that love and respect the product all the more for it.
This is both true and not true. It's hard to explain other than simply saying: You can love a project to death, but that doesn't mean everyone else will love what you are making as well. It's easier to respect the time, care, and dedication put into a project when the end result is actually something amazing that tons of people love. When it's not, it's a lot harder to see the love and care that may have always been there.
There is a craft to good story making, world building, character building, making things fun and engaging, keeping things consistent while building on what's established, etc. When you challenge yourself to learn, you can come out of it knowing how to make better stories. You might slip and fail along the way. However, that's when you need to learn from your mistakes. Find out why a production didn't connect with audiences the way you hoped. If you can't get out of your own head-space to see what connects with audiences and why, then you'll never truly progress as an author/creator. Part of this personal growth is learning to put what you love aside for a moment to listen to the fans, the criticisms, what they gravitated towards, etc. You can still return to what you love, but hopefully you'll learn how to bridge that gap between your audience and your production along the way. Maybe even evolve your fictional creation into what you always wanted it to be. Don't let others dictate how you make your stories (obviously), but don't get so hung up on it that you belittle your entire audience for not automatically enjoying your creations.
Think of it like this... Imagine telling an inside joke. The people who were there will get it. The people who were NOT there will have a harder time getting it, even if you explain it.
Now imagine loving that joke so much that you decide to make entire story/show/series around it. You might love the production, and the people helping you make it might love it too because they were in on the joke. ... But the audience wasn't. And so, the material ends up not connecting with the audience because they just don't get it. Maybe you were in a rush to tell the joke all over again that you forgot to put more emphasis on the journey, the lead up, everything that makes the joke work. Do you see what I mean? You can love a production to death, that doesn't always mean you are always putting the right amount of care and attention into it. That doesn't mean you're a bad story teller or anything, but with time and experience, you can become better. You won't get that kind of experience overnight, especially if you aren't willing to open your mind and learn as much as you can.So in the end, definitely love what you do and love what you're making. However, learn to love the craft of storytelling and capturing your audience's hearts and minds. Life is full of learning experiences, and you need to love having those experience just as much as you love the things you've created along the way. The pursuit to better one's self is a never ending journey, but a necessary one all the same. Those who stop learning are ready to become complacent, ready to be stuck in their current level of skill with no hope of improving, or they might even be ready to stop creating all together.
Take care, my crowd.

Those are the kind of topics and posts I love to read the most.
Longer ones with deep thoughts. I think we two are similar in the way that we both think a lot about the world and always strive to improve ourselves.
I think the "just loving it and it will be perfect" works for me, since I don't have an audience. I really just love doing it for myself. Same with art, I have no skill whatsoever, I only draw rarely (having 6 months of break etc.), never learned it nor watched tutorials. I can't even draw a simple stick figure properly. But when I do it with love (and logic) it will turn out just the way I wanted. Maybe it's egotistical, which is just my nature, but my love for certain things made it always possible.

What I do though, is to look at my stuff and be own critic. I work on things I dislike and improve there.
This is all I need, but then again, my position and perspective is different.
Even the blogs I write, I just do it for myself, because it feels right at the time. I didn't expect anyone would read them. I even thought I would piss off a lot of people with some things I said - didn't happen. But when I received so many nice comments, it was a huge surprise! And this is the best example, this is what I live for in general. Just being myself, no matter how weird it might be to others. And the possible small circle I reach is all that matters to me. It will be about 100% love and genuinity.
But I understand your perspective and agree with everything you said though. <3

Just happy to share my thoughts.
Good points. My advice was meant for those trying to bring in an audience, like Hollywood studios and such. If you are making something for yourself, then there are no rules. Improving your skills is optional. The only thing that matters is making something that makes you happy.
Just try not to criticize yourself too much. Sometimes the author can be their own worst critic. Perfectionism can be a curse if you're not careful.
I also got some Batman vibes from him.

Hello there, my crowd! Welcome to my Weekly Musings: Orange Edition.
[I ❤ JAPAN] -- [I ❤ THE COLOR RED] -- [I ❤ CELESTIA]
Feel free to leave a video request. Your video will eventually be featured in a future Weekly Musings entry!
Let's wrap it up, my crowd.
Ponies are calling me.
The biggest thing that happened this week has to be my mother's birthday.
She had one of the best ones in a long time. So many people celebrated, double the cake, and all the love possible. What more could one ask for? Well, maybe presents, but my mother doesn't seem to want much. She seems to have all she could ask for.
Before we go any further, special shout out to @TomDaBombMLP. I never knew Maxi, but I know it's never easy saying goodbye to a loved one. Just know you have more friends and supporters than you know.
R.I.P. Maxi.
I managed to have one of the best weeks ever! Saw so many great movies, good food, and lots of fun.
I saw a trailer for a Sonic fan project, which has Johnny Gioeli involved. Found a new music artist to enjoy. I learned about Earl Gray flavored ice cream (not sure when or if I'll ever be able to have it, but maybe some day). And late on Sunday evening, there was hail storm with heavy rain. It was a short storm, but the hail was bigger than marble size, and it scared me.
SUPERHUMAN SAMURAI SYBER-SQUAD!
- Episode 22, love and pollution. For the most part, this story is an original. Targeting a place in Japan is not only a nod to the source material, we now see Malcom doing some progressively more evil. The MOTW footage comes from Gridman 38. Yay healing scene. So Tanker and Syd finally have a scene together, and it gets interrupted, and we never learn if they are truly a couple now or not. Why did Syd sign up for this win-a-date contest anyway? If it were any other Gridman episode, I might say that this episode wins. But considering they used footage from a series finale, the choice is obvious. Gridman 38 wins.
- Episode 23, school record manipulations. From progress to downgrade, Malcom thinks in small term targets again, and the opening of this episode recycled footage from a previous SSSS episode? That's a new low for recycling. Still, it is an original episode plot, and they turned a monster that previously didn't talk into one that does. The MOTW footage comes from Gridman 36. You know, Syd counts herself as super smart, but even I have doubts when she can't figure out the computer-graded test was hijacked by a virus monster. I mean they've only been doing this for over 20 episodes... Wow, no healing scene this time. And a PSA, NO!!! Gridman 36 wins. A race to save a pregnant lady is way more thrilling than shallow friendship drama.
- Episode 24, school play craze. Another original episode. MOTW footage comes from Gridman 22. No healing scene either. So conflicted. On the upside, we've got Kilo working independently and secret relationship drama. On the downside, I doubt it will matter in the future, and this was Kilo's weakest solo move. By comparison, Gridman 22 is a solid episode for that series. No contest here, Gridman wins.
- Episode 25, punk cafeteria lady. Malcom likes White (Rob) Zombie; who knew? MOTW footage and part of the story comes from Gridman 35. And both versions of the monster talk! I'm not sure if I love or hate all these music references, but I know I wouldn't get it as a kid. No healing scene. Both episodes have similar levels of stupid, but the steaks in this show have been downgraded a little. The winner is Gridman, but just barely.
- Episode 26, don't drink the water. Playing hide and seek with Servo has got to be a new level of recklessness, and apparently this isn't their first time either. MOTW footage comes from Gridman 17. The plot is somewhat similar to Gridman 10, yet very different. No healing scene. It's hard to say who the winner is. Gridman 17 had a hacker that tried to post Gridman's secrets to the internet. This show had Sam paralyzed and unable to transform on his own. It's hard to really declare a winner without drawing straws, so I'll say both win.
[ 1 / 2 ] MOVIE TIME! I recently saw SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2. I wish I knew what I could say here. It's too soon for me to give spoilers, and I could talk about this movie for HOURS! All I can say is: Go see it. If you liked the first Sonic movie but wanted way more, go see it. You'll get everything you asked for and then some. If you like Sonic in any kind of way, go see this movie. Yeah, there are some things I can nitpick over, but it's mostly not worth it. Let the empire of cinematic Sonic begin!
[ 2 / 2 ] Next, I saw THE BATMAN. Well done. Just when you thought WB was losing their way after the Justice League movies, they pull us back in by showing us they can still do a good Batman movie after all. It's been a long time coming, but it's great to finally see Batman as a detective, using gadgets and vehicles to help him solve cases and defeat enemies. They even set up a sequel, which I love all ready. The only thing I don't like is how the movie tries to punch down Bruce's parents as less-than honorable people. I never really enjoy seeing this. I don't expect them to be saints, but it kills Batman's entire motivation when you do this. I hated seeing it in Joker, but at least that movie makes you question what is and what isn't real. This movie is trying to be canon, and while they did try to mitigate the new details about the Waynes into something positive again, I still hate seeing it. Still, this is a Batman movie that doesn't disappoint. It's a great Year 2 story. I love seeing the new spins on the formula. Batman doesn't kill once again. He's wearing a bullet proof suit. He knows how to fight. If you were worried about seeing an actor from Twilight playing as Batman, rest assured that the story more than makes up for it.
DonBrothers 08: The Sins of Pink!
It was nice seeing Kiji and Inu having a bonding moment, but I never thought I'd see Kiji so angry that he'd purposefully condemn a man to death. I thought that maybe he just wanted to defeat the monster himself, but no! He purposefully let their enemy kill the monster, thus killing the human host as well, who may not have actually been evil! This adds a whole new layer of complexity to the story that makes me hungry for more. I'm also really glad they didn't do a predictable story; for a moment, I thought they were setting it up where Kiji's wife is also Inu's wife. And maybe this is the first time I am noticing, but I see the villains have their own transformation items. I don't see what art and modeling have to do with Kiramager, but I don't think it matters.
ReVice 31: Words That We Must Bear.
Great ending to this two-parter. The mystery is nicely wrapped up, the two former friends made up, I'm glad that Subaru was the host for the monster, and ending it with more lore was a nice final touch. Not sure how losing your personal memories would affect a physical picture, unless that's more about Ikki's personal perception.
Vail 03: A Painful Choice.
Back with more Vail. We learn more about how twisted NOAH is and the sinful past of the Karizaki family. Now Genta must make a painful choice. Does he make a deal with the devil, or does he allow it all to end? Consider me invested.
MLP TYT 07: Best Trends. I wasn't instantly sold on whatever music they were playing on top of dancing bunnies. I was beginning to feel a little patronized. However, I like how they turned it around into a lesson about being yourself. Granted, it's bundled around the image of a pony chasing trends and trying to get some digital fame (which is not necessarily a healthy message to give to impressionable kids), but the nice sentiment is there. I like that we got more cameos from the other movie characters. I doubt it will play out this way, but if the shorts are the slice of life stuff while the main series has the bigger story lines, I'd be happy with that.
That's all for now, my crowd.
Take care, and don't lose your smile.
Well, I keep talking about it, so here it is. Sonic SatAM was suppose to have one last season before it got canceled. It's been decades later, but now the fans are making it happen themselves. This is the trailer for "Return to Robotropolis". And I'll always have mixed feelings about hearing Crush 40's vocalist doing the theme song.

How goes it, my crowd?
I had such a great day! I got to see the Sonic 2 movie! The theater was still crowded regardless... I guess I should be proud that many people want to see it still?
I could write a list of pros and cons against going to the theater to see movies at this point. Afterwards, I got to spend some time in the mall, and I finished the day off by having Greek food. Over all, very happy.
Also, I learned there is a fan project out there making their own final season to the 90's Sonic SatAM cartoon. It not only looks good, but it sounds well casted too. Top it all off, Crush 40's Johnny Gioeli is singing a cover of the theme song. It's both the most fitting and yet unfitting thing I've ever heard. I'm so conflicted.
Take care, my crowd!

I'm happy for you :>
I've heard bout this Sonic AM thing. It has never been broadcasted at my place, but as far as I understand this was a definitely better sonic cartoon which was canceled after a big cliff hanger so many years ago. I hope they will finish their fan project you will enjoy it :>
Random fact:
The speed of sound in the air under normal parameters is about 343 metres per second or 767 mph :>

That would be a dream come true.
Awesome. We both saw it! Good to hear.
Thank you.
I stopped being a fan of Sonic SatAM a while ago, but maybe it's time for me to give it another chance.
Also, nice fact, my cosmic friend.

Let's proofread the script~! It's time now to go over the results of Tuesday's game!
THE ★★★★★ S-RANK WINNERS ARE: @TomDaBombMLP & @Windy Breeze
THE 1st PLACE WINNERS ARE: @Rising Dusk, @PawelS, & @lyrabetes3939
THE 2nd PLACE WINNERS ARE: Hooooonneeeeeeey~!
The correct answer is A. She spins around and falls off her cloud. The twist is that, during Rainbow Dash's flashback, young Dash and young Hoops never exchanged any smack talk before the race. That exchanged only happened earlier during Fluttershy's flashback. However, it is weird that they both remembered the same thing, yet that detail was left out in Dash's version.
If they weren't going to remember things to the exact same detail, then shouldn't it have been the other way, at least? I doubt Dash would forget an epic one-liner like that. Oh well.
Take care, my crowd.

How goes it, my crowd?
Thanks to the Thor trailer, I am once again on a power ballad kick. Love music like this.
Happy Birthday to my mother!
I spent the evening with her, and she had such fun. Tons of gifts, cake, and pleasant memories. But I am sure I will be getting together with the rest of my family sometime this weekend to have a real celebration.
I recently saw The Batman. That was thrilling!
The Nolan/Bale trilogy is still the best, but this is easily a close second.
Shout out to my friend @Emerald Heart for telling me about Earl Gray Ice Cream by the brand Van Leeuwen. Somehow, I gotta try this some day. I wonder if she has tried Green Tea ice cream.
I personally recommend the Matcha Green Tea ice cream by Haagen-Dazs. So good and so addictive; it's hard to put it down.

It's time once again to Equip the Script! Can you guess the right answer?
In Episode 23, The Cutie Mark Chronicles, Rainbow Dash was recalling her Cutie Mark story. "It all happened at Flight Camp, where I stood alone against all odds to defend Fluttershy's honor." In a flashback, young Dash stands against two little colt bullies. "You're going down!" Young Hoops says. "In history, maybe. See you boys at the finish line!" Young Dash says. As the three young pegasi prepare to race each other, young Fluttershy waves the flag, and all three race past her at high speeds. What happens to Fluttershy?
A. She spins around and falls off her cloud.
B. She tips backwards and falls off her cloud.
C. She can can dances and falls off her cloud.
D. She turns into paper and falls off her cloud. And yes, the question is a trick question~!

...Does whatever a Rider does?
How goes it, my crowd?
So far, it seems my router dying was just a fluke. Let's hope it stays that way for the rest of the week.
For those who write stories, predictability can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how you use it.
SpoilerThe world of fiction is filled with so many tropes, you could make a game out of spotting them all. It's nearly impossible to write something genuinely new without someone pointing out that it's been done before. But just because something has been done before doesn't mean that it's bad or not worth doing.
I use to believe that the last thing you want is for a story to be predictable. I was half right.
Many stories are predictable, but many manage to be a fun or enjoyable time despite this. Many stories manage to draw in an audience and achieve what they were aiming for all along. The only time predictable is bad is when your story has nothing of value. Don't let your audience walk away feeling like they wasted their time. Even if you're going to make a story predictable, go ahead and make the absolute most of it. If the story is good enough, people will eventually stop pointing at what's been done and they'll just allow themselves to enjoy the experience instead.Likewise, don't change a story just to avoid being predictable, not unless you are willing to follow through. Some people can make changes to their story seamlessly while still maintaining some good story-telling integrity. If that's what you want to do, go ahead. However, don't change any big reveals or twists at the cost of ruining your whole story. I know some people don't want to write something predictable, but you can't write while fighting against audience's expectations, especially if your entire story has been leading up to specific ending. That's a losing battle. If you have a masterpiece, a story you want to tell, then stick to it. It's okay if it eventually becomes predictable. It won't matter if people are having fun regardless, and I promise you there will still be people who don't see the big twist/reveal coming regardless. Every piece of fiction, no matter how derivative or inspired, is still someone's first experience with that kind of fiction.
Like I mentioned, there are many tropes that are done to death, even ones you are unaware of. Everything is predictable if you think about it enough. But don't fight against predictability. Sometimes tropes repeat because people like them. Don't fix what isn't broken. Stick to what you know and just make the absolute best story you possibly can. If your last piece of fiction wasn't that great, then challenge yourself to make something even better next time. Hone your craft and reach for the stars. As many can tell you, it's not the destination, it's the journey.
Yeah, that lesson is an old and predictable one, but it's still true.
Take care, my crowd.

@TomDaBombMLP Just sharing words of wisdom whenever I can.
@Heasol Thank you. I don't even consider myself a professional writer, but I've seen pros sabotage themselves with bad practices.

@Samurai Equine I personally believe that everything we work on turns out good, when we love doing it.
It will be perfect.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. However, I'll save my thoughts for next time. Thanks for giving me another subject to turn into words of wisdom!

Uh oh, my crowd...
Looks like I'm experiencing technical difficulties.
My router has been dying and reviving tonight. If it goes completely dead, I'll lose my internet connection. I won't be back until either tomorrow or the end of the week, depending on when I can talk to my local service provider again.
So if you don't see me again tonight or any other day this week, you'll know what happened. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. This is just an inconvenience is all.
Take care, my crowd.

Hello there, my crowd! Welcome to my Weekly Musings: Red Edition.
[I ❤ JAPAN] -- [I ❤ THE COLOR RED] -- [I ❤ CELESTIA]
Feel free to leave a song request. Your song will eventually be featured in a future Weekly Musings entry!
Here we are again, my crowd. Care for a cookie or a piece of fruit?
Being healthy and occasionally treating yourself are both equally valid.
The biggest thing that happened for me was the release of a new episode of Elements of Justice!
So good, but at the same time, really made me want more. It was like a prologue to the real story. But I have hope that if they released this much, the next part won't be long behind.
My uncle gave me a nearly impossible mission.
He wants me to hunt down to full version of the original Twilight Zone theme song, and then he wants me to splice in the opening narration. There are SO many factors working against me on this that I'm not sure I'll be able to deliver. However, my secret art project is coming along smoothly. It should have been done much faster, but that's a different story for another time. Also, I guess I should mention Gilbert Gottfried passing away? I'm a little late to this.
Speaking of watching things... I saw the trailer for the new Thor movie. Adult Swim has been posting a lot of new Aqua Teen Hunger Force shorts lately, and they are wonderful. Apparently, The Batman is all ready out on Digital.
...I may need to see that next week. Maybe do a double feature somehow?
It was delayed for some reason, but I saw the newest episode of MLPTYT, The Unboxing of Izzy.
Admittedly, this might be the weakest of all the episodes so far. Sunny forgot how the unicorn trap boxes work, Hitch forgot the emergency release until the end of the episode, and Izzy... Can she teleport? It would be so easy to go get out if she could. I know that most fans have agreed that teleportation is a more advanced level of magic, but Izzy just levitated an entire metal box for the better half of a day. I think she might be powerful enough for a teleportation spell, if she knows it. Still, despite all this, I did laugh at the comedy. There was something incredibly silly about a box blindly destroying the town while on a tour that Izzy is only pretending to see. And hey, as long as the series doesn't get any lower than this, I think we're good!
SUPERHUMAN SAMURAI SYBER SQUAD!
My thoughts:
- Episode 17, hello free money! The plot and monster footage are lifted from Gridman 11. Surprisingly, they went more serious than they have in a while. Sam's off-screen sister got hit by a car, and Malcom forced him to throw a pie at his girlfriend's face. Not even Naoto nor his brother got it that bad. Yay healing scene. No PSA either. By comparison, Takeshi raised the stakes by purposefully attacking his local economy for the sake of causing chaos. Malcom only wanted to make Sam's life miserable and give his own ego a boost. Tough call to make. They really could have done more with the plot of this episode. I'll say Gridman 11 wins, but just barely.
-
Episode 18, contaminating the water supply. Monster and plot are lifted from Gridman 10. Yay healing scene. No PSA, thankfully. Hard to judge this one. For once, the episode matched the stakes of the Japanese show, but Malcom still had pettier reasons for this monster attack. The Japanese episode didn't push for any PSA directly, but they did make it about the importance of environmentalism, which can be just as annoying. I'll be nice and say it's a tie. Both win.
-
Episode 19, a ruined date night. Monster footage comes from Gridman 16, but the plot is very original. I can understand why, threatening a high schooler with a wanted serial murderer is kind of extreme for a kids show in the 90's. The only saving grace is that they lightly hint at the fact that the monster is an upgraded version of a previous monster, but they chose a terrible time to have monster continuity. Yay healing scene. No PSA. I ALMOST gave this show props for bringing Jennifer on board Team Samurai, but instead they gaslight her with a weak excuse of hallucinations via stomach poisoning. The Japanese episode is WAY more hard hitting. Gridman 16 wins.
-
Episode 20, a part two?! What a weird episode to follow up on. Props to Kilo for going full nuclear terrorist, but how did no one in the cafeteria notice Sam going into the computer? They yelled the catchphrase and everything! Ouch, my brain... Monster footage comes from Gridman 24, plot is fully original. Yay healing scene. No PSA. Surprisingly, Malcom actually tried to stop Kilo from doing this, and I can't tell if Takeshi would have allowed this or not. Still, dumb moments aside, this story raised the steaks impossibly higher than just about all of Gridman's episodes. SSSS 20 wins.
-
Episode 21, there goes the power! It's all over the place but once again, the monster footage comes from Gridman 24. However, the plot is VERY loosely based on Gridman 23. At this point, Kilo is acting as a free agent. He's not even waiting for Malcom to hook him up; he's just digging into his database of monsters and acting on his own. His half of the story is more interesting than the rest of the episode, and his actions are more menacing than the events of both Gridman episodes. SSSS 21 wins.
ReVice 30: Word We Couldn't Remember.
All right. So this episode wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There was still some pampering of Vice's voice actor, who I still cannot morally support, but at least this episode had some story and a mystery. I am invested after all.
Dear Gaga 01: Left Me Speechless.
Vail is on hiatus right now, so I'm watching Dear Gaga instead. It seems to be loosely connected to the TV show, but still kinda fits in with the timeline so far. Well, on top of finding out Hiromi isn't dead, we learn he's faking amnesia too. I want to hate it, but I can tell they are trying to justify this with story. They are trying ever so hard. I will say, when it comes to the scene of Ikki saying that he believes Hiromi is still alive, I wish we had gotten that much sooner in the series. It would make all of this so much easier to accept. It's kind of awesome knowing Hiromi is actually a country boy. But now I am just hopping that this isn't the last we see of Gaga.
Genms Smart Brain 01: Any Excuse.
Let's be clear, if you're watching this, you honestly don't care anymore about plot or how this ties into any of the previous Kamen Rider series. You're watching this because it's hilarious to see the two big President characters together again. Also, Smart Brain has been teased. What have they been up to after all these years? Who knows! We won't learn 'til next episode. But this was a pretty fun, random start. And props to Dan's actor. He totally absorbed becoming a Humagear version of himself.
DonBrothers 07: Talk More, Learn Nothing!
Despite the appearance of multiple teachers in this episode, I genuinely feel like we've learned nothing. Saru Brother may have some kind of super natural power of imagination that can be taught to others, but this episode didn't really do anything with it. Who knows if we'll even see it again. At least we got an answer for why Don Momotaro attacks his friends. The MOTW's host was a principal and the GOTW (Gear of the Week) was Fiveman. Makes sense; the members of Fiveman were teachers after all. I will honestly consider it a miracle if we keep DonZekai-Oh for 10 episodes or longer. I still want the other four to have their own giant robots and eventually move away from Zenkai Zyuran. I hope Super Sentai isn't cutting financial corners in the super robot department, but all that CGI and the surreal battle ground look really expensive.
That's all for now, my crowd.
Take care, and pull the right cord.
I like Sonic the Hedgehog. I like the song "Fist Bump". ...Don't have the most positive of feelings for Sonic Forces, but I do like the music at least! So here's a fanmade Japanese cover of "Fist Bump" by Isaac | 星東, with an accurate yet interesting take on the lyrics. And all of it just makes me wonder... When can we get Japanese covers of the other vocal Sonic songs?

You wish shall be granted.
Not yet, but I haven't given up.
And you're awesome too, buddy! That's why...
I see. Batman's law. Constant paranoia. Gotcha.

How goes it my crowd?
Today, I went on a journey. From what I understand, there are people on this forum who are using the DIVACUP react emote (
) to be negative towards each other. Because of the prefix in the name, some are using it to negatively accuse others of being a diva. It makes me feel awful for all the times I've used it, because I have NEVER ONCE used it with a negative intention in mind. Still, I fear I may have sent the wrong message to other users on this forum. And if I have, I'm sorry. I never meant any negativity or hostility what so ever.
Just to be sure, I asked three different staff members about the DIVACUP react. Here is general consensus behind it:
The DIVACUP has no meaning behind it. It was never meant to convey a negative nor positive reaction. It exists for those who cannot think of a better reaction to give a post. Therefore, you can assign whatever meaning you want. Context and individual user intention are the deciding factors in this.
So just to clear things up, if you've ever seen me use this reaction, I ONLY meant to convey one message: Cheers / Good job / Well done.
However, in light of recent events, I will no longer be using the cup for the foreseeable future, not until some changes are made. The last thing I want is to accidentally give any impression of hostility, harassment, or negativity of any kind.
Lastly, if there are any Moderators, Administrators, or Forum Staff reading this, I strongly recommend renaming the reaction. I still see the cup as having potential for fun that we can all share. However, considering the negative connotation that it can have, I don't think the prefix "DIVA" fits a pro-friendship environment like this message board. That's it for my PSA. I also want to thank the forum staff that took the time to answer my questions. You are all VERY wonderful. Not once have you ever made me feel a like pion walking among gods. You've succeeded in making even someone as silly as me feel like they have a second home here.
NOW ONTO THE FUN STUFF!!
Not sure why, but they finally posted that My Little Pony Tell Your Tale episode the day after I asked about it. Weird that there was suddenly a delay.
Over all, the episode was actually the weakest so far. It left me with more questions than anything, but I at least did get a laugh out of it. So if this is worst that the TYT series has to offer, then I think we're in good hands. ...Or is it hooves?
Also, I'm working on a fun art project I came up with spur of the moment.
Take care, my crowd.

Are they? Huh, never though about it .. I love tea, so I always took it as something positive (somepony giving me some tea) :3 But I have definitely not used this one too often myself. Oh .. from my statistics I can see I gave only once a cup of tea to somepony xD
So don't worry I have never interpreted that tea cup as something negative, my friend. I'm also not sure if you ever gave me one. And now .. you know ... nothing has changed really since I refuse to have a bad time because somepony wants to give me something they see it as something negative. I prefer to spend my time with nice and positive things like hugging the hay out of you

To be honest I don't understand why that reaction was named like this either. Aside what you've mentioned, I also learned just now after googling it, that "divacup" is connected to something "interesting", which makes me question the name of the reaction even more.
Actually, I never paid attention to its name, for me it always was and is a "teacup", and it would be best if that name would be kept.
-
Then we are of similar mind. But honestly, I prefer mugs over cups.
As long as you both are using it for those positive or neutral reasons, you'll never hear me complain.
And thank you both so much for the support and care. I really needed it right now.
Oh my... When people mention Googling something and finding bad results, I know better than to do it myself.
Thanks for the warning.

Let's proofread the script~! It's time now to go over the results of Tuesday's game!
THE ★★★★★ S-RANK WINNERS ARE: @TomDaBombMLP & @Astral Soul
THE 1st PLACE WINNERS ARE: Ooh! A new development.
THE 2nd PLACE WINNERS ARE: @PawelS & @Rising Dusk
The correct answer is B. "Oh, never mind. I'm not hungry." As for the twist, it really was a matter of paying attention to the visuals.
AJ did not try to eat a Fruit Bowl, Mac & Cheese, and a Cherry Cobbler. She tried to eat a Salad, Sandwich, and an Apple Pie/Turnover/Fritter. Interestingly, there was a basket of fruits behind the salad. Purposely tried to throw you all for a loop. But I won't apologize for Cherry Cobbler. I fully intended to trigger someone, I succeeded.
Keep bringing your best to this game, my crowd, and we'll play again nest week.
Take care, my crowd.

Hopefully this means I am getting better at fooling my followers. The whole point is to make twists that sounded like they actually did happen in the show. I'm trying to go for a Mandela Effect thing, I just don't know what common misbeliefs the fandom has.
Sorry my friend. I got in a rush to post this last night and forgot to update the tags. You should be there now.
