Hello there, my crowd! Welcome to my Weekly Musings: Red Edition.

[I ❤ JAPAN] -- [I ❤ THE COLOR RED] -- [I ❤ CELESTIA]
What a week! Despite the challenges going into it, there ended up being more positive than negatives.
The biggest, most happiest thing that happened this week was... MY BIRTHDAY!
In some ways, not the best birthday. Because of financial difficulties due to medical bills, I was unable to celebrate how I usually do. In other words, no gifts, at least none on the 11th. There were some early gifts. I may have mentioned the trench coat I got and the Gameboy. However, the trench was purchased sometime before things got tough for either my mother or I. And the Gameboy is still on hold until I am sure no one is coming to claim it. HOWEVER! My friend @Kujamih has been drawing art of my OC as of recently, so that counts! But what made this birthday really nice regardless, was spending time with my family and my friends on this forum.
That, and cake. My mother splurged and got me an awesome chocolate ice cream cake. The frosting was pink and purple. ...And my uncle bought a ton of extra deserts! HELP! My waist line is vanishing all ready!
And while I could talk about others who shared this birthday with me, I guess I should talk about some sad news... My grandmother's birthday was the 9th. For those who just started following me, she passed away earlier this year. We've all had our time to grieve and everything, but it's still sad and we still miss her. This is the first Birthday we are celebrating without her. Doesn't get better when we look around. There are members of my family in bad health right now. My grandfather still has a terrible speech impediment that he might never fully recover from. And I learned recently that my aunt has taken a nasty little fall that has left her a little injured. Don't worry, she'll walk it off in time. She just can't take any pain meds or anything. She has a bad liver, and pain meds would not only make things worse, but they could shorten what little life she has left. That's tough news considering my aunt is the youngest among my mother and 2 uncles...
I have been managing my time this week a little better. I got to see some more stuff like I said I would. I helped my mother clean up (and even paint) the rental property that she owns; that was some HARD work! But she may all ready have a potential customer interested in staying there a while. I still have not finished with Decade yet because I am writing up my next big blog entry for my LiveJournal account (Go check it out!). I would have watched the last episode of "Kamen Rider Decade" by now, but my Birthday and everything else got in the way. Speaking of Decade, apparently we just hit the big 10 year anniversary of MLP:FiM! What a month it has been.
Gotta balance the good news with bad news, right? Eddie Van Halen died recently... Did I mention my aunt is in not-so-great medical health right now? Also, I still have medical expenses to pay. Just one right now, let's hope there won't be another. I think that's it for now.
I watched a bunch of episodes of "Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". Granted, these are being recorded from one of Nickelodeon's secondary channels, so I'm not seeing the new episodes in chronological order. Pretty sure I'm missing some episodes. But anyways, it's been a while since I last saw this show, so let's get right into it!
The following will just be quick, one-sentence descriptions of each episode I saw... Piebald joined the family. Liar Games was kind of dumb. Tubing was dumb, but at least we got a glimpse of classic angry Raph. Good to see Baxter again; he actually almost succeeded in exposing the Turtles! Splinter relived his glory days, and I guess that’s cool. It’s weird how Splinter is just NOW teaching them how to be Ninjas even though they probably should be have been learning it their entire lives; but they did it, and at least we get the revelation that Splinter and Big Mama use to be a thing once. The Turtles tried to get some of that dark metal but failed, so waste of an episode I guess. Masked wrestler dude is now a mutant ghostbear; I guess he fits in better with the show now. April hangs out with a goo girl I don’t remember, but at least we get to see her doing her reporter thing for a moment; and why are mutants suddenly a secret now? The Turtles learn never to meet their heroes, also how is no one checking in on the mentally unstable sci-fi actor?
Saber 05: Thunderous Resolve!
Not sure how the story of Aladdin relates to lightning, but what’s most important is two big points. Right away, we learn that Calibur is Espada’s father. Kind of a big reveal to give this early; makes me hope they have plenty more story plots to keep this momentum up. I was afraid to mention it before, but I think I am seeing a pattern. Saber is best matched with red books, Blades is best matched with blue books, Espada is best matched with gold and yellow books, and it looks like we’re about to get a Rider that best matches with green books. Sure, they can all share each other’s books, but I think sticking to their base colors will help these Riders unlock their true powers.
Kiramager 26: Rutile’s Not Futile!
Interesting. So Yodonna can give all the monsters a power boost, but it’s temporary and costs them their lives. Red faces the same problem if he uses a Granterstone, so he decides to make a power-up that shuts off before it can become fatal. Well, either way, I wanted to see them take her down a peg or two, and they did! But way to go making the foot soldiers a bit more challenging. We usually never see that in Sentai these days, and it’s easy to forget that’s the point; the grunts are supposed to make it harder for our heroes to win, not be something they can mow over easily. Also, Yellow’s got his own character theme after all!
That's it for now, my crowd.
And remember, birthdays are a sacred thing to celebrate.
I know I normally just share a song on the Red Edition, but since it's been my birthday, I'm sharing two!
First, here's the music. When you're a total weeb, but you still want to look cool in front of others... I just LOVE musical crossovers between artists/bands that you NEVER would have imagined happening in a million years. Here's Amy Lee of EVANESCENCE and one of my all-time favorite Japanese bands Wagakki Band, teaming up to make an orchestral/wagakki cover of "Bring Me To Life". I really hope they make a studio version of this~And here's the bonus video! This was posted on my Birthday, and what a surprise gift to see! At first, I was worried about the slight art-style change, and then they totally justified it with one well-placed line of dialogue. I don't have Hulu, but I swear I will find a way to watch this! Here's the first look at the new Animaniacs cartoon, "Animaniacs Jurassic Park Clip", posted by Hulu.

@SolarFlare13 It's all right. It's the thought that counts, and you're awesome for caring.

(Art by KP-ShadowSquirrel)Congrats, my crowd! You got through another week!

Today was so tough. I agreed to help my mother fix up the rental property, but I had NO idea I'd be outdoors painting most of the day.

I got so tired and exhausted that even when I finally finished, all I wanted to do was relax and do nothing for a while. That's why I haven't been here nearly all day.
Sorry if you missed me, but sometimes life gets tough. But at least tomorrow is a special day. I might not be able to celebrate it the way I want, but I will celebrate it none the less.

Hope you all had a better day than I did! Take care, my crowd.

Class, may I have your attention? It is time to reveal the results of Tuesday's game. And the winners are... @ExplosionMare, @Tacodidra, @TomDaBombMLP, and @LyraLover 💚!!!
Four winners in a row! That's a new record!
See? I told you. Anyone can be a winner in my game, and there is no limit on who wins.
Tied for second place, @Stone Cold Steve Tuna gets the most observant award, and @DivineNightmare1000 gets the perfect student award.Next time on Real or Fake, we'll play the Head of Office Edition.
I am surprised no one has shown interest in my fanfic idea. I know there's not a lot of Kamen Rider fans here, but I thought surely someone would be interested in the fact that I want to write an MLP fanfic...
Has a crossover like that all ready been done? I may need to search around to find out...
SpoilerHappy Birthday, grandmother.
We still miss you...That's all for now, my crowd. Take care of each other.

@Stone Cold Steve Tuna Thanks. She would appreciate that if she was still with us...

-
@ExplosionMare Not yet. I was testing the waters to see if anyone would be interested. I haven't written it out yet, though I've got a lot of ideas for it swarming in my head right now.

How goes it, my crowd?

In case anyone hasn't told you today, I just want you to know....
You are awesome, you are irreplaceable, and you are loved.
Just wanted to spill the real tea, and it's quite refreshing.
Anyways, not much happened to me today. Work was actually very easy today. I managed to sneak over to my mother's rental property to see how bad the "damage" is. All in all, it's really not bad. They renter was surprisingly respectful of the property, which is shocking considering how loud and disruptive they usually were. I expected things to be WAY worse... This will make the task of helping my mother clean it up so much easier.
EDIT: I am thinking of writing a crossover fanfic between MLP:FIM and Kamen Rider Decade, but I am not sure if I should set the story in Equestria or in the EQG world...
Well, that's all for now. Take care, my crowd.
SpoilerThere's a whisper in the air telling you to rescue all those precious lives; it says "Rescue force..."

Nothing makes me smile quite as much a sunshine princess.

Happy Smile Day, everyone! Hope you all enjoy the holiday.

So far, it's been an interesting week. Monday was filled with technical difficulties, didn't make me want to do much, so I skipped posting my usual PinkiexSunset shipping posts.
Yesterday, I got some good news about my medical stuff, so I'll still be going to my next follow up on Friday I guess.
And as for today, I got an unexpected gift, maybe?
My mother owns a rental property, and her renter just finished packing up and leaving the place. She inspected it, and found some prizes. Mostly useless junk to us, but among it all was an original Gameboy! And it works too! I don't have the original charging cable, but I got at least one game out of it. Tetris. Classic.
They also left behind a digital wrist watch that still works.
Actually for now, I am just holding on to this stuff. They may come back for it, possibly. But they all ready gave my mother the keys to the property. The renter herself is leaving the state to be with some sick family members, but she had friends and stuff over all the time, so maybe it is suppose to belong to them? It seems unlikely that any of them will return looking for it, but just in case, I'll keep it near by. If nothing happens after a while, then finders-keepers.This weekend, I think I'll be helping my mother clean up the rental property and make it presentable.
That's it for now. Take care, my crowd.
Keep smiling.

Hello there, my crowd! Welcome to my Weekly Musings: Orange Edition.

[I ❤ JAPAN] -- [I ❤ THE COLOR RED] -- [I ❤ CELESTIA]
Work, work, work is all I seems to know... Let me tell you about it, my crowd.
I guess the big thing that happened this week is medical stuff.
My health insurance doesn't want to pay for a CAT Scan. I got some lab work done on Friday, so maybe that will be enough to convince my health insurance to pay for it. If not, then I may have to either consider paying out-of-pocket for my medical expenses, or I may have to put a stop to all the progress I've made so far. Either way, I am now tightening my belt on all my finances, cutting corners where I can to save money.
At least some good things happened this week! I was given artwork of my OC, mother gave me an early birthday gift (trench coat), and I reactivated the service on my cell phone.
To top it off, I also managed to post two new entries to my LiveJournal, one of which took WAY longer than I thought! I guess compiling 15 episodes worth of information is harder than I thought it would be, especially when I am having to rewrite the info so it all reads better. But it's up, and I can begin working on the next blog entry, which is notes for the last 16 episodes.
My window was broken by a neighbor's kid. I'll have to get that fixed, even if I don't have the money for it right now. My mother is about to lose her renter, so that will mean she'll be going a while without additional income. My arm has been feeling weird since I drew blood on Friday. Long story short, there has been so many incidental things happening that this week I just finished was not a good one. In fact, I've been so distracted that I wasn't able to start watching any other TV shows like I said I would, and I think Carmen Sandiego just started another season on Netflix...
I'm sorry, my crowd! I promise, I'll do a better job this week. I'll schedule my time better, somehow.
In related news, I am almost done with Decade! I should have been done by now, but that last blog entry really slowed me down. Good thing is, I'm only one episode and one movie away from being finished. That will definitely give me more free time to catch up on other things. Like I said before, the next blog entry will cover the last 16 episodes, so that might also take a while to write up. But it's all coming together really nice, and end goals are finally in sight!
Saber 04: Dark & Light!
Wow, amazing what actual communication can accomplish! After getting to know Saber and learning to trust him, Buster became a way more enjoyable character. However, it seems like all kinds of characters are coming out of the wood-works all at once! The evil Rider Calibur, the gold Rider Espada, and a threatening monster called Desast. (Short for Disaster, maybe?) With his reputation of slaughtering other swordsmen, could it be that all of the previous ones only had one Wonder Ride Book each? Might explain why this one monster defeated so many.
Kiramager 25: Scratched by a Cat’s Eye!
Talk about an plot bomb. So much happened that really should have been spread out over the last few filler episodes to make this one easier to follow. We have the hunt for two granterstones, a new general that can make the Muddies into zombies, and a plan to make a wormhole tunnel that connects Yodonheim to Earth. Also, gotta say that evil emperor is rather narcissistic, isn’t he? Emperor Yodon, secretary Yodonna, the land of Yodonheim... Guess it makes it easier to memorize, but still~!
That's it for now, my crowd.
Take care, and keep winning combinations in mind.
Over the past few years, I've learned about these underground, 3rd party, off-brand consoles that sort of act like these mega consoles. Basically, they can read and play a bunch of different games all at once, they can use memory cards and save-states, etc. The latest thing that I have discovered is the Polymega. It can play games for the Sega Saturn, NeoGeo CD, and other formats that have become really hard to port. The best thing is that this off-brand mega console seems to be just as smart and high tech as anything coming out right now. Only the newest XBOX intrigues me, but if I had that kind of money to drop, I might consider getting THIS instead. This is "Polymega Review - Is it worth $400?" by MetalJesusRocks.

Decided to start crediting these pieces of art from now on just in case.
Also, can you imagine if Celestia has matching rainbow feathers on her wings?!

I've been checking my expenses lately. I think I can still afford some candy for Halloween, at the very least. Not sure what else I'll be doing after that.
With all the medical stuff hanging over my head, I'm gonna have to tighten up my belt. May be relying on essentials and coupons for a while. Also, I've decided to bite the bullet and renew my cell phone service. Money might be tight, but there may be a time when I need that cell phone considering how digital everything is these days.
Hope you've all had a good week. At the very least, I hope it ends on a good note.
Take care my crowd, and good night.

Results are in! The winner of Tuesday's game is... @LyraLover 💚!
In second place, it's a tie between @ExplosionMare and @TomDaBombMLP. So close, but at least one off. And in third place, @Stone Cold Steve Tuna for being the most cautious.
Congratulations to all of you!
Next week on Real or Fake, we'll play the Teacher of the Year Edition. Look forward to it.
And in personal news, seems like Friday was being extra nice to me in an attempt to make up for the last two terrible days!
I got a surprise gift, a trench coat in the style I always wanted. Lots of free desserts. And best of all, @Kujamih is making awesome art of my OC!
You gotta check it out. It's right HERE.
I am glad the week can end on a high note.
That's all for now. Take care and goodnight, my crowd.

@Kujamih Got it. Work bad, friend good.

Happy images of Celestia make me happy.
And I really need that right now...
My mother was going to help me try and pay some of my medical expenses, that is until we learned that her renter is moving out. She was receiving a regular rental fee of over 400 dollars every month. When that runs out, she has to tighten her financial belt for a while. So I might be on my own again.
I'm doing my best to appeal to my medical insurance. So far, have not heard back from them.
And that on top of the fact that I still have to pay for a window replacement and to renew service on my phone, probably some other expenses I'm not thinking of... October is going to be a very rough month for me.
It's like all this decided to just fall down on me all at once. Makes me wish I had held off on all this medical stuff after all.
Anyways, just thought I'd post this before I log off for the night.
Goodnight, my crowd. Take care.
SpoilerPart of me wishes they had made a full-length version of this PV, but then again, there's only so many shots you can do of a costume on a mannequin before it gets old.
-
-
-
@TomDaBombMLP I'll survive. It might not be the best month for me, but I'll survive.

@ExplosionMare Well, after talking to someone about my insurance, it might be easier to appeal once the results from some lab work come in. (Lab work is when they examine your blood and such.) If it proves they cannot pinpoint the source of my medical troubles through simple means like that, then it'll show how necessary a CAT Scan is. I hate having to jump through hoops like this, but I'll take a momentary set back over my insurance completely abandoning me.
-
-
Yesterday was not a good day for me.
I learned my health insurance won't pay for everything that I need, and I might have to pay for the additional doctor visits.
I'm in the process of getting my case appealed, but who knows if it will actually work. Hoping and praying, though.
Also, my neighbors kid broke my window yesterday!
I'm gonna have to get that fixed... My neighbor says that he can do it. He works for a company that makes and repairs windows, so he does this kind of thing for a living. He wants to pay for it himself because he feels bad, but I don't want him to go through all that trouble and get nothing out of it, so I may pay him something after all.
My birthday is October 11. It looks like I won't be able to celebrate it this year.
I guess it's not that bad. I'll be happy if I can just get the medical attention I need. A clean bill of health will be my birthday gift.Either way, I am thinking of taking a break from the usual stuff I do to try something different. There's been plenty of art I've been wanting to draw. Maybe it's time for that.
Take care, my crowd. I hope you're all living a better life than me right now.

Hello there, my crowd! Welcome to my Weekly Musings: Red Edition.

[I ❤ JAPAN] -- [I ❤ THE COLOR RED] -- [I ❤ CELESTIA]
I seem to be stuck in a very strange feeling, my crowd. On one hand, I don't quite feel like myself. On the other hand, I feel more active than ever! But let's go over everything and you'll understand.
I went to the doctor on Friday for a follow up. (WARNING to those who are easily grossed out. You may want to skip ahead.) After having blood work drawn and my abdomen scanned, I still didn't feel right. I has been taking medicine, but it didn't completely get rid of the pain in my side, so I wanted to see what the results showed. Turns out my kidney occasionally swells up. Not too much, just a mild swelling, then it goes back down. So now, I'll be having more work done. I am scheduling a CAT scan, more blood work, and a urine test. If that doesn't tell the doctor everything that's happening in my system, then I don't know what to do other than try losing some weight. (It's over. I'm done talking about gross medical stuff.) So as it stands now, I have to get more work down, and then go in for one more follow up. I really hope this is the last of it, because I am getting a little tired of all this. Part of me wishes we had done all this at the beginning, but I am glad the doctor is only ordering stuff on a need-to basis.
Sorry everyone, but I won't be talking about Decade this week. I was almost done watching every episode, but I had to stop at the last two. The reason? I have a LiveJournal now! I'm oh so proud of it too. I'll be posting all my thoughts and findings about Tokusatsu on LiveJournal. I have been making blog posts throughout the week, and have recently posted some more entries. Which means, I'll be posting all of my thoughts about Kamen Rider Decade on there too. I've all ready shared some of my thoughts here on these weekly musings, but I want to post them on LiveJournal too, maybe go into a little more detail. I'm calling my various posts about Decade "Back to 10". Get it? Because the show was a 10 year celebration, and I'm revisiting it. (P.S., I'm still taking as much feedback as possible. I am trying to make the blog entries visually stimulating with pictures.)
Allergy season has begun to hit me really hard...
I am staying active and energetic, as you can see. However, it's not fun when I have to take on more medicines. I like the summer and warm weather seasons, and I appreciate the colder seasons too. It's just those in-between seasons that are hard on me. And with my kidney and digestive system being so sensitive right now, I wonder if all the medicines I am taking for allergies is helping or making my condition worse...
My mother recently had some dead branches cut down from the tree in her front lawn. I offered to help her move some of those branches. Yay, manual labor~ I got a new haircut. Once again, my cell phone's prepaid service time has expired, so I need to renew. Still don't understand the point of having minutes I barely use if it's on a timer. Seems to me like service should expire when you run out of minutes. Also, trying out a new facial hair look. It's mostly stubble, though I am keeping my neck clean shaven. It's not a bad look, I just have to groom it constantly so it doesn't grow out too much.
Transformers Cyberverse 326: 'Trix aren’t for Kids!
And here, we have the season finale of Cyberverse. Way to make those all-black recolors of Transformer toys canon! It was a little all over the place, characters popping up suddenly where they probably shouldn’t be, and I’m not talking about those Decepticon soldiers made by alternate universe Megatron! Either way, the crisis is over. Windblade is safe, alt. Megatron is defeated, and the alternate Matrix that trapped her was destroyed. But now I have so many questions... What will happen to the Decepticons now? Is regular Megatron actually dead? Was Astrotrain a double agent this whole time? Is this the last we’ll see of alt. Megatron? I hope we get one more season, but I'll be fine either way.
Saber 03: Slaying the Ground Work!
Production wise, this is my kind of episode. More on-location filming instead of all CGI. Outside of that, this episode was challenging. We get introduced to two characters that treat our MC in completely opposite ways. One is an old childhood friend who instantly likes him, while the other is grouch that instantly looks down on our MC for being a novelist. The latter is a father, and we get to see him become a heavily armored Kamen Rider. Because his gear is different with only one noticeable slot for a Wonder Ride Book, I get the feeling that he won’t be very strong in the long run. I feel like they might make this character a metaphor. Something about focusing too hard on brute strength is not the only way to grow as a character, maybe? Also, I am surprised to see a father character acting so belligerent, but I also haven’t seen casting like this since Hibiki, so I guess it all evens out.
Kiramager 24: Rose Quartz in C Major!
Not much to say about this episode. It’s all filler right now, and another chance to show off that extended soundtrack. Does this count as Yellow’s character theme since he sang it, or is it just a bonus song? That would be weird if it was, considering the show told us that a random kid wrote the song, so it should be his song instead. Furthermore, this episode does make me wonder something... The kid only made the base melody. He didn't write the accompanying harmonies, the lyrics, or 90% of the rest of the song. Can he still be considered the original author if a bunch of other people added new things to it, or does it count as an entirely new creation that they all own equally? If only I could contact my Law professor from college...
That's it for now, my crowd.
Take care, and may the earth aid you in kind.
As much as I like Major/Minor Key Changes, I normally find it very hard to get into Negative Harmony covers. The notes and chords seem to go everywhere, making it the most complex thing to listen to. However, this one is actually easier to listen to and follow along with. I dare say, it still manages to sound somewhat melodic. This is "Negative Harmony Cover - The Sound of Silence" by Steve Cruickshank.

I would love to go kart racing with Celestia!

This is seriously my new favorite image of her. I wonder who drew it... EDIT: Turns out it was someone on DA named TheArtrix. Thanks, @ShadOBabe!
There's a signature on it, but I can't make it out...Yesterday, I went to see the doctor again for a follow-up. Part of me knew there was a bigger issue at play, and the lab results were correct.
My kidney is mildly swollen, but not always. Sometimes it swells up, but it usually goes back down. It might be some kind of infection.
Either way, I'm gonna have some more work done to really figure it all out. That and another follow up will be another set of appointments I have to make...Did I mention I have a LiveJournal now?
I posted two more entries there just recently.
I plan on posting all of my findings related to Kamen Rider Decade, because I have a LOT to talk about. I'll also be posting entries about Tokusatsu fansub groups and more.
I'm not asking anyone to give tokusatsu a try, but if you'd be willing to read some of my LiveJournal blogs, I really need some feedback on how readable and understandable my blogs are. Also, I got a haircut.

That's all for now, my crowd. Take care.

Time to reveal the results of Tuesday's game. And the winner is... @LyraLover 💚 for being the only one that participated.

...What do you mean all 10 images were the same?!
But I know I found 9 others. Oh no. I just don't know what went wrong...
Next week, we'll play Real or Fake, Scary Griffon Edition.
I've got a lot of stories to tell you all, but for now, PLEASE check out my LiveJournal!
I have decided to post all my Tokusatsu knowledge there.
Right now, there is only 2 posts, and hopefully they are easy reads. ...Are they? Please tell me, I need feedback.
I do plan to post more blog entries there, though. I will make a guide to fansubs and official releases. And since I have been rediscovering the series Kamen Rider Decade, I will post my thoughts there too. And trust me, I have a LOT of possible blog entries to make about that.Take care for now, my crowd.

Dab on them ponies.

I really enjoy the new emotes. I actually voted for this one:

But I am glad this one also was included:

Having more than one winner makes us all feel like winners!
Anyways, hope you're all have a great week. Take care, my crowd.
SpoilerAnd here's a song for anyone who has ever gotten into a bar fight because an evil, monster-making organization took away your arm and now you're trying to find the one man that cut it off... Okay, maybe that's too specific.

@ExplosionMare *Dabs with you* As the old saying goes, a dab'll do ya.

Now if only we could get some more Celestia emotes... I might have to make my own, unless someone has all ready made some.

Hello, everyone! Grab a muffin, cause it's time for... REAL or FAKE! Bright Eyes Edition.
Now remember, in each game there's 5 fake images and 5 real images. So play REALLY close attention, because some of the fakes might trick you into looking real. Can you spot which image is which? I bet you can!
