    @Pastel Heart "Really? How odd. Of all the places to be inhibited like that..." Trilby says. But who cares! They are in the store, and what a place it is! Trilby starts grabbing stuff to buy, including a Mareio hat in his size, games, accessories, and more! "It's been a while since I played video games! You'll totally play them with me, right Pastel?" Trilby asks. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Samurai walks up to this stallion, expecting to resolve this situation just by talking things out. Instead, accusations are being thrown. "Oi, oi, oi! Let's calm down, shall we? So, somepony is smoking here. I suppose that is bad. But I think I know an easy way to settle this!" Samurai waves both Sakura and the stallion to come closer, as if he's going to tell them a secret. "I am going to ask you both to count to 10 slowly. And while you're counting, cross your hooves." Samurai instructs them and watches them do it. The truth is? This is a distraction. While they are counting and not paying attention, Samurai is activating his magic~ One cannot smoke cigarettes without fire. The fire creates smoke, ash, heat, and other similar reaction. Samurai's fire power will tell him who the real cigarette smoker is. He'll detect the heat and such in their lungs.

I did it last week, to get a replacement part for my chair, but the order didn't go through for some reason. So I did it again and it got through this time. Was a little upset when someone contacted me, asking if I had tried using the height-adjusting handle. That's about as annoying as tech support asking if you've tried "turning it off and back on first". :unamused: But whatever, I acted nice and explained the situation further. So they'll be sending me a replacement part soon enough.

I got a much-needed haircut after a long wait! :fluttershy: Saw trailers for Cuphead and Moon Knight. And I'm attempting to fix some strange plumbing issues I've run across. Hopefully it's nothing major.

    sun.png.8ab21d7000bfb88f283da8c5e2f104cc.png GRIDMAN! HB4hUOc.png I've begun my journey into the original Gridman, so here are my thoughts on the first 6 episodes. To start, bonus points To Shout for including both translations of the show's title. However, minus points for not translating the theme songs nor the next episode previews, as well as lazy translation moments in general. I've seen Episode 1 a few times, but it's nice to have an official translation. Episode 1 leaps right in, but since the plot is simple enough, you're not going to feel overwhelmed. I like how they show they're not afraid to go a little darker than the American equivalent (the first place attacked was a hospital) even if the human supporting the main villain is kind of lame, but also the early 90's special effects are in full affect). Episode 2 goes full Digital World to explain how this story works, as well as explaining some other details the first episode didn't have time for, and we see that Kahn Digifer is draining malice from the human host like a puppet. Episode 3, holy moly! They are actually acknowledging the monster attacks in the media! Even if it's in a small way, it's still nice to see. Episode 4, Khan Digifer is leaving messages in the real world and his human host is learning to make better monsters. Episode 5, Gridman gets his signature weapon, and we learn Khan can recall his monsters before being defeated. Thank goodness the others were destroyed, or they might have protested. Episode 6, FINALY! A character that doesn't dismiss wild fantasy ideas because he realizes his own life is a wild fantasy! Upgrading old monsters is a thing, Gridman's weapon got upgraded, and guardian Electron Animals are a thing too. However, this Spirit of Sound character feels like something from the 80's or earlier.

After searching for so long, the pirates found SD World and liberated it from Tojitendo. While I am happy for these characters, this was not the ending I expected. Why are Ricky and Cutanner still SD? By the rules of the show, they should be back to normal by now, even if they acknowledge how weird it is and have the pirates search for a solution. It seems like a waste of potential to have Stacey do nothing to help the pirates defeat SD World. I fail to see how he and Gege are connected in bringing out the SD World monster, unless they somehow did a mind swap thing? And while it was sad to see them go, I get the feeling we're going to see the pirates again real soon.

I am surprised they let Daiji/Live fight on the front lines without any disciplinary action for what Kagero did. I like that they are justifying the need for multiple Riders. And it seems despite learning a lesson, Ikki/Revi is going to learn the same lesson all over again with his sister. … At least, that's what I want to say, but after watching the rest of the episode, it seems Sakura's bleeding heart for others is causing her to make a lot of stupid mistakes. Not that she's alone in this, Ikki and the rest aren't doing a good enough job reassuring her that they'll save the instructor and her son, let alone doing a good job of properly acknowledging Sakura herself. Still, she does have good intentions. Makes me wonder if those honorable intentions made her first transform attempt a failure... This is why you test your devices out before hand, ladies and gentlemen.

    @Pastel Heart Trilby is touched. He pulls Pastel into a caring hug. "Then let's do it, partner. Together." The crowd starts to gasp, and not in the good way, at their hug. Some of the citizens begin talking amongst themselves. "...Did we do something wrong?" Trilby asks. Most of the talkers are speaking Japonies, but some of them can be understood. "They're hugging! Are they marefriend and coltfriend?" "In broad daylight. How shameless." "My mother told me to save stuff like that for marriage." "Fooly cooly~! There's no way they're family with a hug like that~" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wow! What a comic! Samurai can't help but smile in spite of himself. He has no idea what he's feeling right now, but it's a positive feeling. "Ah, Sakura-chan. Arigato gosaimasu desu. Please lead the way." Samurai does a light bow and lets her show the way. "He might not be happy with you, but he might change his mind when he talks to me." Samurai says, knowing the authority he carries. He hangs on to the manga for now. He might need this later.

    @PawelS, @Kujamih Samurai finds it a little odd, but doesn't question it for now. "If he is adamant about it, then it should be fine. Kuya will present the prisoner personally to Princess Celestia. If the princess summoned him, then she must have a good reason, so I'll trust her judgement. I'll take responsibility by helping out if anything goes wrong. Even so..." Samurai turns to Kuya. "Are you okay with watching after the bandit until morning? We're not suppose to see Celestia until tomorrow."

    @Courageous Thunder Dash Trilby smiles. He doesn't care. He is just happy to see Addie happy. "Correction, WE'RE going to help figure out the mystery of Daring Do." Trilby says, wanting to help out equally. ... Trilby looks out the window for a moment. He kicks his feet. He rubs the back of his head. All of that talk about being an adventurer is quickly flying out the window. Should he talk about himself? Does Addie even want to know more about him? This is going to be a long train ride if he can't think of a good way to pass the time.

    @Pastel Heart Trilby was about to go into a game shop when he notices Pastel wanting his attention. He smiles and pets her head. "You can always depend on me, partner. What fancies your attention first?" Trilby asks. -------------------------------------------- Samurai was distracted at first. He really wanted to learn the ins and outs of this place. But his attention is grabbed when he sees a young cosplaying filly approach him. He smiles and takes the manga, hoping it's not something ecchi like in the works of a doujinshi. "Greetings, there. I'm afraid I'm not really interested in that kind of story, not unless it's with a pegasus. But I think I can help you out in a better way. IF they shut down your stand, I can help you get a new one, once I find the owner of this establishment. And who might you be?" Samurai asks her.

    @Courageous Thunder Dash Trilby nods. "Gotcha. I hope they still offer carriage services there. Might be nice to travel the remaining distance that way." Trilby says. As soon as they get to the train station, Trilby buys tickets for Dodge Junction since it will take them the closest to their intended destination. As they get on the train and pick out a car to sit in, Trilby sits across Addie. "So... Since we'll be here a while... Are you okay to travel like this? Is there any friends or family that need to know about where you're going?"

    @PawelS, @Kujamih The arrival puts this battle to an end. It had an interesting start, but that's just the way things go. Samurai smirks at Kuya knowingly. "Allies and enemies re two different things; and I'm not in the habit of hurting my friends during a sparing match." Samurai says. He also approaches the guards. He shouldn't have to show them anything. As a samurai, he is a soldier in service to Princess Celestia. They should know him and recognize his authority. His title is practically the same as theirs, not to mention all the times he's visited Celestia's castle to get orders from her directly. "Konbanwa gozaimasu desu. Good evening, gentlecolts." Samurai bows. "Sorry for the disturbance, it was controlled and purely peaceful, I promise. My friend here has apprehended a bandit, and I believe he is ready to turn her in for proper questioning."

    The answer was A, "Watch out." Furthermore, the trick part is that some of the lyrics were altered. One of those alterations was a typo; completely unintentional on my part. Silly me! :muffins: Also, sorry this came out so late. I got so busy and distracted on Friday, I just ran out of time. Hopefully there won't be a repeat of that next week.

    @Starlight "Reticent. Nice to meet you! Well, to answer you're question, I'm just a tourist. A wanderer. Found this place completely by coincidence and was wondering what it's like. I'm also looking for a new place to call home. A place I can set up my signature brand of business without too much competition." Trilby explains. He also takes off his hat for a moment so he can bow politely. When he does, he reveals he is a unicorn.

    @Courageous Thunder Dash Trilby grabs a tactical pickaxe and some emergency food provisions. "And you never know when you might need to break some rocks." Trilby pays for his own supplies and follows her lead. "Next time, allow me to pick up the tab. It's the least I can do for my fearless leader. In fact... Shall I pay for our first destination? I get the feeling we're about to travel by train."

    @Pastel Heart Trilby was taken off guard a little bit, but plays along. He takes Pastel in his hooves and pretends to run away. "Oh no~ I've become a thief and I'm taking the princess~! Somebody stop me." Trilby fights hard to suppress a giggle. But thankfully, they don't have to keep up the act for long. Once they get to their destination, he puts Pastel back down so she can explore the plaza to her hearts content. "I want to get a Super Mareio Hat! And maybe get a bunch of event-exclusive merch." Trilby says. "I wonder what celebrities are appears at this event..." Samurai says as he looks at some informational brochures.

    @Starlight The arrival of this new pegasus puts Trilby at ease. He smiles and stands a bit more proudly now, no longer cowering. "Thank you. I wasn't expecting somepony to speak up for me. I'm Trilby, by the way. Trilby Hatter." He extends a hoof to her. Might as well make a proper introduction at least.

    @Courageous Thunder Dash (Sorry for the delay.) "Oh, thank you." Trilby bows and enters. He was planning on getting the door for her, but she beat him to the draw. Trilby looks around and begins collecting things. Not the cheapest stuff, but definitely not the most expensive stuff either. Trilby must have gone camping or something before, because he has an eye for quality.

    @Kujamih, @PawelS Samurai has been training for this his whole life. "A simple distraction method won't work that easily on me. Let's see if you can evade this!" He bats the bag of bits away and aims for his opponent. As soon Kuya gets close, Samurai winds up and summons fire to his hoof. "Flaming PUNCH!!!" He takes a swing. He has no intention to hurt Kuya, so he'll stick to simple mele attacks for now. He'll only draw his sword if he absolutely has to. If this works, it should stun him. If it fails, well... Depends on whose defenses break first.

    @Pastel Heart "A bard, huh? Not a bad choice, really... I could totally play a lute. And you'd make a perfect thief, Love. You've all ready stolen my heart." Trilby says to Pastel with a wink. After they comb the crowd, they arrive at a large building with anime characters painting on it and other such detail. Samurai leads them inside. "We're here!" Samurai says. One look around will tell you this place is a grand mecca for anime and manga fans. There's ponies cosplaying! There's stores to help you buy cosplays. Anime, manga, video games, and many other similar pieces of content is being sold. There's a cafe. An arcade. Places where cosplayers can freshen up so they don't have to wilt away in their costumes. And so much more! It beats anything you might find in the rest of the world.

    @Starlight At some point, the sight of the guards did register. Trilby was making mental note of their matching appearances when one female guard approaches him. Trilby gives a frightened twitch and backs up, nearly falling on his butt. "I, I... Well, miss, I am sure we are not THAT different. I mean, we are both ponies, right? I'm just a harmless tourist, passing through. Surely there is no harm in that, is there? Heh. By the way, has anypony ever told you that you have a beautiful voice?" Even with her tough exterior, Trilby knows a mare when he sees one. He tries flirting with her to try and smooth things over. How hard could it be to simply walk into this foreign land?

I wish to go there some day~" But suddenly and quite abruptly, Kuya changes the nature of their meeting. "A sparing match? Now?! I... Well... I guess if you're not afraid to leave the prisoner unguarded for a while, then sure. But not here in the streets. Let's take it to an open field, where no innocent pony might get caught in the crossfire." Samurai says. He leads them out the streets and to an open field. Putting some distance between himself and Kuya, Samurai lights up his magic once more and stands upright. Samurai uses telekinesis to transport his armor to him, however it fails to arrive. "Huh... My armor must have gotten stuck in my room somehow. Regardless, I am the solar empire's official Samurai Equine. And in the name of divine providence, I hereby accept your challenge." Samurai readies himself, but makes no move. "This first move is yours, Kuya-san. I came here with a 2nd sword; a buster sword that cancels out magic. However, since this is a friendly sparring match, I have chosen to leave it at my hotel room for now." (EDIT)
