Twilight suffers from curse of the main character: the main character now a days is rarely the favorite character of the fans.

Take Harry Potter: most people's favorite character is either Hermione or Luna Lovegood now a days

Plus not many people have an academic personality like Twi's, but I love her, I love the episode where she becomes a princess

You're right about that, but it's pretty cool that way, I couldn't imagine a world where everyone's fav is Twi.

I love that episode too, however, most of the fandom hated it when it was released!

I honestly think the fandom manages to be pretty stupid at times

Twilight Sparkle is a freaking alicorn, when I saw that I was like "OH MY GOOD LORD THIS IS SO PERFECT I WANNA LOVE HER FOREVER"

Yet Pinkie is my favorite, I mean, she has a freaking Party Cannon, that's 20% cooler than cleaning the weather in ten seconds flat.
