I sure hope you're right about that. G-5's series has plenty of potential, and the movie left so many unanswered questions that could drive the series.

I saw her cooking a little before noon, and it's a little after noon at the time I'm posting this, so she'll probably keep cooking for another hour or so (at a guess). (Probably having lunch with my parents a town over, actually.) EDIT: she's still cooking at 2pm? I'm shocked, really... EDIT: Now it's Weber making an Apple Smoothie; his house is just across the river, north of the town hall. I'm typing this just before 9pm, so no idea how long she'll keep cooking. I also have light meteor showers, but no sign of Celest. You know, they never did a moral about peer pressure. Peer pressure is like the dark side of friendship, and even friendship can become morally corrupted. ...You'll never guess the context of where I came up with that, though: imagine a human-in-equestria fanfic where the human finds he's immune to magic, simply because his universe doesn't have any magic in it. Twilight, knowing he's a predator but not knowing anything else, blasts him with magic. He says, "Hmm, I don't feel any different; what was that meant to do?" Twilight, freaking out, answers, "That was supposed to vaporize you!!" After a moment, he answers sarcastically, "You know, there's this thing called 'due process', and you might want to give it a try. All the cool governments are doing it!!"

Celeste is on my island! Last I saw, she was in the northeastern hills. And she's got DIY cards that she didn't have before the update: she was giving me star fragments every time I saw her for the last few months, but this time, I got a Yellow Star Rug DIY card, instead! I actually own one of those; bought it while Toys R Us was going out of business, and should've waited a week or two so the price would go even further down :/ I keep it in its box as a collector's item.

I figured I should give you a heads-up in advance; the price spike will be 196 at minimum and 588 at maximum. I know there'll be things that require a lot of bells in the near future, so I figured I should let you all know!

Might be a good idea to change the topic's name---if it's possible to do that. Personally, I harbor suspicions that there was no inter-tribe war, and instead, something happened centuries ago that made the tribes willingly part ways, and then make up the war to try to keep the three tribes separated. Maybe it was the fact that villains keep coming to try to steal their magic, so they figured the magic wasn't worth the hassle. If that's the case, then restoring magic will bring the villains back, too...and Sunny might just blame herself for that!

Zipp seemed to serious during the movie; it's good to see her letting loose and having fun like that! It's really well-drawn, too!

So far I think G-4 is better, but it's too soon to say. Ask again in a decade or so when G-5 has wrapped up its finale! Personally, I think G-4 had more balanced characterization, more and better worldbuilding, and more satisfying endings to its stories. Of course, that's just taking the sample of the movie, which had a rushed ending, kept the mystery of how the world of G-4's finale morphed into the magic-less dystopia of G-5, and that didn't give Pipp enough characterization...only one datapoint isn't quite enough to establish a pattern, so...

Different people are saying different things. Personally, I thought the movie was good, and deserved a better ending than it actually had. I won't spoil it, but I will say the climax left a bad taste in my mouth, and made me feel like I was being jerked around---one of the characters got a G-4-like epiphany out of nowhere, with no explanation for where she got the idea in the first place, and to some degree her epiphany out-and-out nullified a chunk of the plot...and yet somehow didn't, all at the same time. You'd have to see it to understand what I mean. That said, the majority of the movie's runtime was actually pretty good. Room for improvement, but overall worth watching.

It'd be counterproductive for them to kill Gen 5. But what do you think they'd do to kill it? End the TV series after too few seasons, before it gets a chance to get really good? Invest too little money into the series and make it basically a giant toy commercial (i.e. what some figured G-4 was going to be)? Inject hot-button issues into the series and alienate the audience?

Dodo code is JT5N0 For once, I'm not posting meteor timings because it's a heavy meteor shower: there are too many to post! Also, on the beach a bit south of my shop, I laid out a bunch of star fragments; they're up for grabs for whoever wants them! (I really need the storage space...!)

Reds is on my island, but he literally has zero statues. All paintings, and only the Mona Lisa (Famous Painting) is real. ….Well, I bought one other painting that was real, the Jolly Painting. I will have a heavy meteor shower tonight if anyone needs star fragments. To be honest, star fragments were a big deal when I was new to the game and had no wands, but now that I’ve crafted loads of wands and every zodiac furniture item, not to mention that my home storage is full of star fragments, I don’t get as excited about meteor showers as I used to.

I totally missed this. ...And still don't know where to look, sadly :/

Sadly, only one purchase per player is allowed, and I don't share my switch with anyone else---at least, not to play Animal Crossing.
