    I'm not sure, myself. I haven't seen anything new on his deviantart account. I'll keep an eye on it and post here if there's any news. EDIT: the news is that he and his wife are doing fine---they're under a lot of stress at the moment, but are otherwise okay.

    I'm not entirely sure what I'll do with these ponies if I'm being honest to balance them out. Maybe FS will still be a glass cannon in the end, but only by virtue of the fact that she's the only one with spread-shots?

    It's been a long time since I updated this, but I've been working on this project. For about a year and a half, I was working on adding items to the game. That release was meant to be a quick one---just a way of getting custom enemies to drop items when they die. But then I realized that custom items won't be much use unless I add buffs that you can get from consuming the items. And then I realized that I could have an equipment system that actually shows pixelart of equipped items on your character, if I set things up so that equipped items apply buffs to the characters, and those buffs' animations are carefully synchronized with the character's animations! ...So a classic case of scope creep. Hopefully I can quickly add foundations for another couple of important features before I head to the Whinny City ponycon in 2020: custom abilities for playable characters, and custom attacks for enemies! Once I have the foundations laid, I can add attacks one-by-one and have quicker releases.

    Is the fact that I'm making my own MLP fangame too much of a bias on my part? It's a platformer/shmup with RPG elements, and a level editor that lets anyone make their own game with it.

    In some ways, I feel like I never grew up---probably partly because I'm not 100% sure of myself, don't really like being independent, never forgot how to have fun, and because I'm still into animation and video games. All that being said, when I graduated from college, two truths hit me like a ton of bricks: 1) Everything changes, even things you wish wouldn't; nothing lasts forever, even things you wish would. 2) Just being a functional adult in society takes a HUGE amount of money, which is why having a job is so important. When those two truths hit me, I felt like I'd hit a major transition-point, and had become an adult.

    I just saw a story online that disturbed me:  a genius programmer with an anxiety disorder basically fled to the woods to live alone like a crazy survivalist and then seemed to die due to an injury:

    Shoot, I'd hate to think about the kind of damage Megatron or other transformers villains could do to Equestria. Then again, there's no telling how vulnerable they'd be to magic, so it might just even out...

    The high notes during the most famous part of this song don't always sound quite right, but maybe that's what the songwriter was going for. I still liked it overall, and it worked surprisingly well on organ! And I'm glad I finally know the name of that famous song that they put in the Chips Ahoy commercials when I was younger...! Thanks for sharing!

    If they do in fact do a series on the real Grogar, it's hard telling what it'd be like---to be honest, I kind of like the idea of Gusty beating him, even if it was simply by stealing his magic and then letting time do him in by waiting for old age to finish him. It's nice to think the mane six aren't the only ones who are allowed to save Equestria! Some part of me says that it'd be too much like a rehash of Season 9, especially if they did it in Season 10. Season 12 or so might be okay (assuming there are that many; there may or may not be, of course). What I'd like, personally, is having a villain who gets introduced in the season premiere, who doesn't get permanently neutralized until the season finale, and whose machinations show up in a majority of the episodes of the season---either driving the episode's main plot or its B-plot. It's okay if there are plenty of episodes they don't appear in, but honestly, villains have only been a driving force in the premieres and finales of the show itself. Expanding on how much villains drive the plot is one thing I would've liked to see in the show itself, but unfortunately it ended before that happened.

      Me too.  I actually wrote a fanfic of G-5, just to see how it might go, based on all the leaks I was aware of...well, most of them.  I think it's still out there on fanfiction.net; it's called Brand New Day.

    For a while, I thought this wasn't an actual thing---that you'd invented the name and invented your own theme for it, kind of like the "Atomic Clock Galaxy" or the "Humongous Fungus Galaxy" from several years ago. Then I checked, and it actually existed in SMK64! Honestly, your mix is a little bit better; there's (as I keep saying) no percussion, but your organ going up and down so quickly (is that called an arpeggio?) is a lot more noticeable and urgent-sounding than the original!

    I would've liked another season---a season that would've needed to be somewhere in the middle---where the main villains are Hydia, Reeka, and Draggle from G-1, and where the majority of the season's episodes have either their main plot or subplot driven by the machinations of those villains; that'd help to drive home that "these are the villains in the MLP world". We've had villains that begin and end a season before, but they didn't really drive the plots of that many episodes during their seasons. Plus, Hydia, Reeka, and Draggle had some pretty good dynamics; the daughters were unmotivated, weak, clumsy loser-villains while the mother was a serious villain, albeit not without her comical moments.

    I think they'll leave it open to interpretation. There's more than one possible explanation; them opening up a side-business together would explain their lines, too (Dashie's crazy for cider, after all!)

    The tears didn't come for me until the day after I saw it. I've been struggling with Seasonal Affective Disorder and an anxiety disorder, so this has been very rough on me. I'm getting better each day, though. There's something I'd noticed about the series, though: Twilight and her friends have proven to be one of the greatest forces for good in the FiM world, connecting not only with other ponies, but also with other kinds of creatures. This was even true before Season 8 and the friendship school. What's astonishing about how much they're a force for good is that it comes not from their brute strength, speed, or magic, no matter how much of each of those they've got: it comes from simply being who they are---honest, loyal, generous, kind, funny, and friendly. I'd always figured that the thing that gave Twilight and her friends the time and breathing room they needed was the fact that Celestia and Luna were running the country. And that, in turn, made me figure that Celestia giving her crown to Twilight would backfire spectacularly, keeping Twilight from being much of a hero by making her a bureaucrat. But then I saw what Canterlot turned into after decades of Twilight's rule: creatures of every kind were in the streets and employed at the castle. That's something Celestia and Luna never managed, and hints that the kind of harmony and peace that she has managed to achieve for the world. When I recorded my letter to Twilight, I said that she showed me how amazing it can be when a person or a pony allows themselves to grow, and really, her ascension to the highest throne in Equestria was the last piece of growth that she could've achieved, and now she's made Equestria grow, too. Cadence was right in the Season 2 finale flashback: Twilight really is amazing!
