  1. Yeah, I doubt it'll ever happen, at least not in a way that won't inevitably disappoint me. But it's nice to think about.
  2. Okay, we get it, you hated her. Personally, I loved her in Midnight Castle, but I agree that she lost a lot of potential as the series went on. You're still being kinda extreme here. I mean, 'beaten to death?' Seriously? There are a number of cartoon characters I can't stand, but I still don't wish death on them. Er, most of them, anyway. A mention would be nice, is all I'm saying. She'd be long dead, no matter what side of the bridge she was on when it collapsed or whatever, so there's no concern of her actually appearing in the show.
  3. The concept of a pony-equivalent of Bill is both frightening and intriguing. However, he requires a certain level of subtlety to work properly, something I don't see MLP ever quite getting. I didn't mean the Rainbow of Light, I meant the bridge Meagan used to get across to Ponyland. The one Firefly and Medley would slide down in the opening. Although the Elements and this new 'Rainbow Power' thing bear a striking similarity to the Rainbow of Light. Maybe the Tree of Harmony had something to do with Meagan? Or maybe the locket was another 'fruit' of the tree? I seem to remember the Moochick telling her it was only a piece of the Rainbow in 'Rescue at Midnight Castle,' but it was considered the whole thing in later episodes. I can't even doublecheck myself now, though, and the wiki's chock-full of holes. *sigh* Renewed patents are irritating.
  4. Skitty. And please at least add the name of the Pokemon you pick? All the image links seem to be broken or something.
  5. http://mlpforums.com/topic/109038-past-generation-involvement-in-g4/ Boop. I went with across-the-generations involvement, not just G1, because I think most people will have woven Generations Two and Three in as well, if they've gone to the trouble of working G1 in with G4. Oh my GOSH, yes, bring the Seaponies back! Though I kinda hope we get hippocampi (Hippocampuses?), not seahorses, this time. It fits better with things like unicorns and pegasai.
  6. So I can't be the only one who loves both G1 and G4 on here, and godness knows there's plenty of G1 I'd like to add. What aspects of past generations would you guys like to see appear in G4? Personally, I'd like to see more nods to G1. A tapestry depicting Meagan, Firefly, and all the rest would be cool, but something stronger is still more appealing. A real explanation for why the Rainbow Bridge isn't there anymore, or at least a history connecting G1's cartoon to G3's, hopefully involving the G2 toyline, for instance.
  7. Yeah, that guy. Squirk would've made a great start-boss, heralding the return of G1 villains. Plus, a sea-side or island city would have meant more worldbulding, something this show kinda lacks. Arabus was indeed robbed of his spotlight, which makes me sad. That was one of my favorite G1 episodes, with both creepy dark enemies and non-pony races. I think Katrina would fit in okay, since Iron Will appeared. She's not really any more human-y than he is, I don't think. I never got to see Lavan, unfortunately. I was watching G1 on Youtube -- as I was born about ten years too late to have enjoyed it on the air -- and all the videos got pulled before I had time to finish the series. I got most of the way through the second season, too, so I was almost done. <:/ ...We're getting off topic. Maybe I ought to start a G1 speculation thread or something.
  8. I agree with you wholeheartedly. I think they used Tirek a little early, though, honestly. He's, like, the King of Villainy. He should've come much later, after Grogar, Catrina, and maybe even Arabus reappeared. Also that octopus-thing. Ponies battling a ten-thousand-year-old Kraken would be cool. Anyway, I feel the villains kind of took a nosedive after Lauren Faust left. Discord was okay, but I feel he and Chrysalis had much more potential. And Discord's reformation was just a bad move. It's an even more extreme disappointment with Sombra. I'd love to see more of him, where he has an actual speaking role. Nightmare Moon was interesting, not only because she was echoing Tirek's battlecry of eternal night, but because she was Luna, who had fallen from grace. And Faust said it was due to outside influence. I think, if she had been left in control of the show and had gotten enough free reign and time to go into everything like she wanted, we would have seen Tirek speaking to Luna, a thousand years ago. He would have caused her to go astray, and there would have been some serious drama when he inevitably returned.
  9. I'm not saying that either. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions and thoughts. I just don't understand homophobia at all. The idea is incredibly alien to me, and I can't make heads or tails of it. But if he's comparing it to R34, he clearly has a huge problem with it. Plus, he shouts his title of 'bigot' from the rooftops, indicating he's proud of it. This tells me he actively bashes same-sex relationships. It would be one thing if he let things slide, understanding that people will do what they like regardless of how he feels about it, but he isn't. Like I said, I just don't get it. What would appeal in this show to someone who seemingly generates anger and arguing?
  10. I really don't understand. If this is such a shock to your worldview, why watch the show? Acceptance, love, and harmony are woven into the very fabric of Equestria. There is no bigotry in the show, because it simply doesn't fit. Ponies don't give a flying rat's rump what's happening in someone else's life, so long as all ponies involved are happy. Personally, I think we have a lot to learn from them. But I'm getting off-topic. If you can't accept something like this, an expression of harmony no matter what genders are involved, why watch the show? Why be part of a fandom that is built on love, tolerance, and acceptance? I'm not trying to start a fight. I just want to understand your point of view.
  11. I figure their lives were extended in the extreme by the Elements, though I hadn't considered the Rainbow Power. It does follow that direct contact with the dormant spirit of an alicorn (as I figure that's what the Tree of Harmony was) would effect them in such a manner.
  12. To be honest, I think he and Scorpan are the last survivors of the lost human kingdom that was implied back in G1. Tirek shattered it with his Rainbow of Darkness and it turned him and Scorpan both into immortal monsters. *shrugs* But that's just my headcanon.
  13. Harpies would be interesting, and I like the naga idea. I don't see centaurs happening, or mermaids for that matter. Their human halves are just not animalistic enough. Personally, I feel we have a diverse enough world for now, and I'd like to see things like the chimera, minotaur, and dragon races explored and developed. I'd also like to see the goats, donkeys, zebras, and pretty much every other non-pony race tracked to their native homeland and expanded upon. Like, are there capicorns in the goatlands, like there are seaponies near Equestria? Are giraffes a full civilization? What about the zillion different types of cervine? Do they get cities and kingdoms too?
  14. Relatively, I think they're all in their early- to mid-twenties. After all, Rarity and AJ run their own businesses, Pinkie works full-time in Sugarcube Corner, and Twilight is essentially a graduate student. Literal ages, though, would be hard to calculate. Personally, I give earth ponies an average life-span of 150 years, pegasai about 200-50, and unicorns 300. Crystal ponies haven't been factored in yet, but they're probably between earthies and pegasai somewhere.
  15. Fluttershy's family would be interesting to meet, true. I kind of think her parents were Posey, from G1, and some other pony, probably a pegasus. They retired into the mountains somewhere, and left Flutters the cottage. But I like to think all the girls are descended, one way or another, from their 80's counterparts. *shrugs*
  16. So, does anyone have any interesting theories relating specifically to the Mane Six they're dying to share? Just general thoughts, across the seasons and generations alike. I figure Twi, Rarity and Rainbow are all children of minor noble houses, myself. They and the rest of the girls shot up through the ranks, though, due to their service to the crown. Now, they all technically hold large swaths of previously-unclaimed land Celestia had taken from noble houses that proved too incompetent to keep it. I might write a story on this idea later... Got a lot more to work through first, though. Anyways, how do you think their backgrounds play out? Everyone likes to explore Applejack's history (myself included) but we tend to neglect the other five as a fandom, from what I've seen. It'll be interesting to see what people have come up with.
  17. ... Blitzle. (That's one of the new ones, right? )
  18. (('Valve' isn't a verb... I'm gonna presume you meant 'have.')) bright magenta sequins
  19. I'm gonna go with... Rapidash, because of the whole speedy-horse thing and your username.
  20. Gosh, people responding already! Hello, and thank you for the welcomes. AJ is my favorite, but Twi was a close second, I have to admit. She is the one that played the biggest part in bringing me into the fandom, after all. C:
  21. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Applejack How did you find MLP Forums?: Through a reference link someone sent an artist I follow on dA, for a commission they ordered. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Well, that's kind of a long progression. See, my oldest brother, remembering how well he liked G1 as a child, and my own love of bright colors, horses, and magic, recorded the first episode. We sat down to watch it-- And I laughed myself off the couch before Twilight finished the introduction. Then, early one Saturday morning, my sister and I were cleaning the living room. She turned on the TV for background noise, and before we knew it, we were sitting down watching Winter Wrap-Up. I still refused to accept anything so 'childish' and 'girly' into my fourteen-year-old-life (Teen angst! ) but that would soon change. My oldest brother, the one who recorded the show to begin with, woke me up for a re-run of Green Isn't Your Color. Fluttershy and Rarity were acting so much like me and my sister, he said, he couldn't let me sleep through it. That, combined with the way Twilight and Pinkie were acting, won me over. I was a bit late to the party, but I had joined the herd well before Season Two. Hi there! My name's Nom de Plume, but you can call me Nommie. I'm a late-teens animation-student-hopeful, with aspirations of writing my own cartoons one day. I just started my senior year of high-school, and I'm scared half to death over it. Real life popped up on my doorstep much faster than I thought it would. Anyways, I'm greatly interested in the RP forums, and I can't wait to get started in there. I have so many ideas buzzing around in my head already, it's hard to hold it all in. I hope I'll be able to get to know a few people in there. That's really where I start to make better friends, as I'm fairly good at it. Well, that and my writing, if I'm allowed to brag a little. Not to get a big head or anything, I just take pride in my creative work. Soo... I guess that's about it. Anything else you guys want to know?
